Dropped phone, screen + digitizer is broken. I have never rooted my phone. I didn't put a screen lock luckily, and I know the USB debugger is off.. Is there any way I can still download an app or do something via the android manager on my computer remotely to see my phone's screen on my mac?

Ok, so last night I dropped my Dell Streak on a drunken night out. The LCD display is shot, and I can't even get the screen to function. The glass has not cracked!
Anyway I need to get access to my phone, and have been trying to use MyMobiler to control the phone screen from the PC. However I don't have the USB function enabled on my phone. So when I am plugging the phone to PC and running MyMobiler, there is no USB connection (as it's not enabled on the device)
So with no use of the screen, is there any other way I can control the screen on my Dell Streak, via the PC via USB? As I ideally need to have that "enable USB connection" option checked on the phones menu.. but can't,as the screen is shot!
Any help on this please??
So, here is my situation. The screen is not working. The touch works, but the display is completely dead. I need to enter an 8 digit password to log in but cannot see what I am entering therefore it is difficult. I need a way to either control the phone from my computer or have the phone screen be displayed. I cannot turn on screen mirroring because I cannot see the screen on the phone. USB debugging is not available because, I CANNOT ENTER THE PASSWORD. I need a way to have the phone screen appear on my laptop or even on my TV. I do not know how, and anything I found online does not work for my situation. I cannot see my screen, that is literally all I want because the phone itself will not turn on. I can't even access the phone from my laptop because I cannot unlock it so that is out the window as well.
I would print myslef a picture with a password entering screen. Than I would put it on screen and touch on it the password.
Long and short of it is a company replaced a shattered screen. Then, the new screen began to peel away and then the connection became so bad that the screen is not functional. I just get a blank screen. I need to rip all of that data off the old phone so I can back it up and put it on a new phone (courtesy of the company that replaced the screen).
Here's where it gets tricky. The USB connection mode is charge only. I need to set it to MTP, but can't because the screen has lost all functionality. Without MTP, neither Android File Transfer nor Smart switch can't connect to the phone. I think Sidesync would work, but I can't install it on my phone.
An MHL cable won't help because it mirrors what is on the screen, but I can't select anything....
Are there any tricks out there that can help me before I have to send the old phone back in?
Thanks in advance!
You'll have to try fixing it temporarily . youtube has some good info

You can try and take a phone with the same os. If you have 2 computers its best (maybe one laptop or something). Turn both the phones off and connect them both to the computers and turn them both on. Look at the one that you see his screen and press the same places on your phone..

I'm in the same boat, have you found a way?
Hi, Today I dropped my phone and the screen is gone. the phone inside is still alive. I need to mirror the screen onto my computer so that I can sort some things out on it. Is this possible without put a client onto the phone? It is rooted.
Thanks.

you can do it with a microusb to hdmi cable, no actions required - but your touchscreen must be operative, otherwise you can do nothing. If you want to recover files simply connect device to a pc
As the title says, I broke my phone screen (Samsung galaxy 8+) and the phone still turns on and I can use the screen for a short period of time and then the pixels die and the screen goes black. And I can't really open it long enough to allow USB to be authorised on my computer to move files off of it (i now regularly back up my new phone....).
So can I somehow get access to the content of my phone either by pc control or direct HDD access? I can unlock the screen but that's about it before it goes black.
Cheers.
I posted here because it seemed like the most general place to get an answer? =]
You can't debugging must be on to access phone data
