It's like I just can't ever get everything I want.
Updated to 4.3, and everything else is working swimmingly. It's the fastest my half-full Nexus 7 has ever felt. While bluetooth audio seems to work a little better, now my bluetooth keyboard is non-functional.
I'm using a Zagg, and it'll pair. I can enter the code. The Nexus seems to recognize what it is, but once it's all set up the keyboard is completely non-functional. It wont move around the home screens and it wont input in a text editor.
Any thoughts on how I might troubleshoot this further?

Hi folks,
I purchased my streak from Dell unlocked running 2.2. To be honest; I’m extremely disappointed with this phone. I hope someone can give me some advice to make the experience better. Here are the problems:
There is no spell check on this phone! I don’t understand why, or if its just not turned on. I can’t believe I paid so much money for a phone without a spell check, Email, Text, Notepad…nothing. The swipe keyboard has word prediction, but that’s not the same (its annoying). I turned on quick fixes and that doesn’t seem to do anything either.
The Swipe keyboard. The phone won’t let me change the keyboard. I have downloaded two other keyboards and (thought) I changed the setting to use the new keyboards, but I open up to type and the keyboard is always the Swipe Keyboard. Does the phone need to be rooted to changed this?
Silent mode; I set the phone to silent mode, yet the stupid key board still clicks when I type. I unchecked all the sounds under keyboard setting and STILL the stupid keyboard clicks when I type.
When playing music the volume is at max and the song is not loud at all. When connecting speakers you can hear that the speakers are cranked up, but the music is not loud. (hope that makes sense)
I really wonder if anyone from the Dell design team actually used this phone before they release it? I have to turn on the lights and get a magnified glass to plug in the ridiculous charger every time I need to charge the phone.
Any help would be very appreciated!
Donald Knuth, ca. 1975: 'if all else fails, read the manual. ' Or just give it back.
Sent from my wonderful Dell Streak.
That’s another great thing, the manual that came on the phone is for Android 2.1.

You have not changed the keyboard settings to silent go to keyboard settings and uncheck AUDIO FEEDBACK

Any help would be very appreciated!
Hope that has sorted a few things for you
Thank-you, when I changed over the the Android keyboard the auto correct is there. Much much better.
I appreciate you take the time!
I've been scouring the forums up and down looking for a solution to this problem, but I just can't figure it out.
See, I have a Targus Bluetooth Keyboard and an Apple Magic Trackpad. They both work great...by themselves. When both of them are connected, the keyboard starts to behave erratically. It lags, it repeats keystrokes, it even drops connections. Now obviously I'd like to use both my keyboard and my trackpad in conjunction, but this issue prevents me from doing that.
My question is, is there a solution to my problem? Where would I go about looking for information on how to solve it?
Just as a one-off, I'm running AOKP JellyBean Build 5 with Franco kernel.
Anyone else have a crappy keyboard mouse pad after Jellybean? Scrolling pages is a nightmare, is there any fix for this? I am stock, not rooted.
To scroll i have to scroll down, and let fingers of the toucpad, then it scrolls, but if i scroll with fingers on, it will not scroll
Is this just my keyboard, or is it the same on yours?

The multi touch two finger scroll works as it should. im on clean rom 3.0.4 but the touchpad cuts out when moving my finger across it on rare occasions. overall it works pretty well but not as good as a standard laptop imho.

Mine was as good as a laptop-mouse before jellybean, hope there will be a fix for this. Normally i use a wireless mouse, but i would like it to be fixed anyway

well apparently i just havent been using mine enough. today i have been using it non stop and the confounded touchpad is annoying as all get out. The clicker buttons always work and the multi touch scroll seems to work but then sort of catches or hangs on the page and then you have to swipe again getting a less than satisfactory movement. then to compound this annoying trait the blasted cursor will as i said before just at times stop or hang when first trying to swipe. i also hope for a fix on the driver of this touchpad
I have always hated the touchpad. It is far too sensitive and far too easy to accidentally trigger (thus sending the mouse pointer to some random area of the screen). When doing real work on my tablet I inevitable disable to touchpad and plug in a real mouse. I use the laptop to remote into a Window 7 machine at work where I'm a system administrator. Accidentally deleting the wrong account or OU because of an inadvertent touch-pad blip would be a really big problem!
Is there any way to flag this problem to asus?
I tested a transformer prime w/docking today, and that mouse act as a normal laptop mouse
Hi all. I've looked for an answer to this issue, but to no avail.
I usually dock my s4 to samsung' s smart dock at home and I use it connected to a tv with mouse and keyboard attached for basic needs. Till lollipop upgrade everything worked flawlessy, now there are some issues:
Original TW: upon connection (power, hdmi etc), the screen goes off and appears on the tv, oriented and scaled to fill the display. this is fairly good, since I don't need anymore a rotation control app, the problem is that if the screen goes off, the only way to interact with the phone is via keyboard and mouse, which is annoying. does anyone know a way to control this behaviour?
GPE: the screen stays on upon connection, but sound is not sent through hdmi, only through the smart dock 3.5mm connectior
thanks, any hint appreciated
My I dropped my S7 edge and cracked the screen so that half of the screen kind of works but the touch does not work. I can see the lockscreen but if I connect a mouse I see a pointer for a fraction of a section then the screen goes dark. Maybe the lockscreen disables it.
But what are the best way to install some app on it to be able to remotley control it from a computer without using the touch?
If I get control of the phone can I use a chromecast to cast the screen to an external screen or are there any other aletrnatives as I read that there are none MHL support any longer.
And what could you use it for ? maybee some sort of Tasker "server",
crappy game console if you could cast the screen to a chromecast connected tv and add a bluetooth controller.?
What other scenarios could you use it for?
I know this is old but I'm at this part with a Samsung Galaxy s7 I have. The screens on these phones just are to fragile. I didn't even drop it and the back got so hot the glass broke on the back with not dropping it. Then next thing I know it the screen and lcd are all gone crazy on the front. I already Samsung backed up.
I'm wondering if there is a way to use ABD to push a set up so that I can use the phone connected to the chromecast or something where I can see it on my smart TV. So I guess is there an app to upload adb and a certain way to allow the Bluetooth keyboard to connect to take control. This is a really interesting way to find ways to have fun... Just thought it would be worth figuring out so people who are stuck with broken screens can maybe use the android as a backup drive on the computer ext...
I know that anything is possible. I don't really like to say that there is no way because there is a way to do anything if we put are minds to it. . But I don't know enough about it to making calls like that. I hope someone can at least figure out so we can use Bluetooth and wireless to get a working screen on the device in its altered state.
