I've been scouring the forums up and down looking for a solution to this problem, but I just can't figure it out.
See, I have a Targus Bluetooth Keyboard and an Apple Magic Trackpad. They both work great...by themselves. When both of them are connected, the keyboard starts to behave erratically. It lags, it repeats keystrokes, it even drops connections. Now obviously I'd like to use both my keyboard and my trackpad in conjunction, but this issue prevents me from doing that.
My question is, is there a solution to my problem? Where would I go about looking for information on how to solve it?
Just as a one-off, I'm running AOKP JellyBean Build 5 with Franco kernel.

I did some searching for someone reporting a similar issue but i didnt find anything.
my question is with an issue im having with my cing 8125. when i slide the keyboard out, or even start to slide it out, the screen goes really crazy, and isnt readable. i tried to take some screen shots of it, but the issue doesnt show up on screen shots since the screen capture intercepts the signal before it gets to the display. has any one else had an issue like this? is it possible to open up my wizard and fix it, or am i stuck using the onscreen keyboard until i get a new phone?
Have you tried to reset your device? Maybe its really just a problem with your firmware. If it were a hardware problem, it would not only appear if you slide the keyboard out, i think.
Duke
every now and then the touch pad start to run like crazy between the menus like he is stuck on down or up.....
I've got the same problem. Sometimes it gets stuck and keeps scrolling down.
I predicted this would be broke first
Now, I just disabled the touchpad function because I didn't really like the function anyway. Now I cant just navigate by clicking the ring around it and using the touchpad as a "ok" button. Which feels more stable
.....
i've disabled it too ...i had no other choice.. so what is it? hardware or software problem....its driving me crasy...i've done HR twice!! and its still happens....
same problem here and i have disabled the touchpad also.
i think it's a little scratch on the touchpad itself which is causing a problem on the optical sensor. maybe it's only because of some dust.
.....
so its just us having this problem?
I have same problem too and notice that there are a lot of dust on the touch pad and do some cleaning, it has been back to normal.
i'm having the same problem too. i'll give it a clean and see if that sorts it.
Hey guys, it's been a while since you added to this thread, but I now have the same problem. What did you do exactly to clean the touchpad? Just the top bit or also underneath? How did you get there? What did you clean it with? And finally, did it help?
Out the the blue, I discovered my direction pad/action key/answer keys/soft keys all stopped working - only when the keyboard is slided out.
Interestingly, the optical joystick works fine.
I'm using itje's 5.0 rom, but have since tried flashing back to 4.5 and stock R2A010, and the problem persists.
It HAS to be a hardware problem, right?
Nah, it's a hardware problem. The problem deterioriated & the screen now fades into blackness whenever the keyboard slides open. I suppose a broken electric contact somewhere is causing the prob, though I'd expect the sliding mechanism to be more durable for a phone at this price.
Anyone else have a crappy keyboard mouse pad after Jellybean? Scrolling pages is a nightmare, is there any fix for this? I am stock, not rooted.
To scroll i have to scroll down, and let fingers of the toucpad, then it scrolls, but if i scroll with fingers on, it will not scroll
Is this just my keyboard, or is it the same on yours?

The multi touch two finger scroll works as it should. im on clean rom 3.0.4 but the touchpad cuts out when moving my finger across it on rare occasions. overall it works pretty well but not as good as a standard laptop imho.

Mine was as good as a laptop-mouse before jellybean, hope there will be a fix for this. Normally i use a wireless mouse, but i would like it to be fixed anyway

well apparently i just havent been using mine enough. today i have been using it non stop and the confounded touchpad is annoying as all get out. The clicker buttons always work and the multi touch scroll seems to work but then sort of catches or hangs on the page and then you have to swipe again getting a less than satisfactory movement. then to compound this annoying trait the blasted cursor will as i said before just at times stop or hang when first trying to swipe. i also hope for a fix on the driver of this touchpad
I have always hated the touchpad. It is far too sensitive and far too easy to accidentally trigger (thus sending the mouse pointer to some random area of the screen). When doing real work on my tablet I inevitable disable to touchpad and plug in a real mouse. I use the laptop to remote into a Window 7 machine at work where I'm a system administrator. Accidentally deleting the wrong account or OU because of an inadvertent touch-pad blip would be a really big problem!
Is there any way to flag this problem to asus?
I tested a transformer prime w/docking today, and that mouse act as a normal laptop mouse
It's like I just can't ever get everything I want.
Updated to 4.3, and everything else is working swimmingly. It's the fastest my half-full Nexus 7 has ever felt. While bluetooth audio seems to work a little better, now my bluetooth keyboard is non-functional.
I'm using a Zagg, and it'll pair. I can enter the code. The Nexus seems to recognize what it is, but once it's all set up the keyboard is completely non-functional. It wont move around the home screens and it wont input in a text editor.
Any thoughts on how I might troubleshoot this further?
