Post your Quadrant scores... - Desire Themes and Apps

Hey guys, now that HTC Desire has matured with so many ROMs and kernels blazing, I thought about why not share your HTC Desire Quadrant scores.. This will also be a comparison of ROMs and kernels. I would like to know the tweaks in your Deisre too with your quadrant scores... And please, don't post any other phone's score. That would be unfair. And use the full benchmark, not a custom one Give the screenshots, not the scores. Cheers!

Yeah, we believe you, but quadrant scores please...

SpazeDog-ICS-0.9.0U1

why that low score?
galaxy ace ~1569 (which is budget phone, teoritically with lower specs)
and htc desire got only ~1700 ?

Screen resolution makes big difference on 2d and especially 3d performance, desire has 480 x 800 screen against 320 x 480 in ace, that's more than twice as many pixels to power for the same gpu. 200 mhz and a bit more ram can not possibly compensate for that.
This is probably the highest possible result for the desire, without cheating and within safe overclock range.

[Quadrant Scores] Thread!

I dont think we have a quadrant score thread.
Lets start it up!!
Rules:
Post your Quadrant Pic (No pic, didnt happen )
and tell us what ROM and Kernel you are using.
I hear Quadrant isn't as accurate as it could be, but I'll go along.

This is why. The numerous random mis-benching.
It's always either underrated or overrated depending on how your set up is.
There are better tests out there.
CM6, smartass, dtapps.
Yeah a bit unreliable because I doubt my phone can outperform an Evo but, 1360 so...
With CM7 (Ungodly fast BTW) And Miguels Kernel OC'd at MAX 864 MIN 245 SETCPU

That's what I usually get with CM7 nightly + miguelthekernel Smartass 245-844Mhz + data2ext.
What the heck. My score is significantly less than everyone here. I only got 988 and I'm using CM7 nightly with miguelthe kernal and smartass 245-825. Any idea why it'd be so slow?
Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide using XDA App
Try to free up some RAM with a task manager, you should get about 1200 with 825 oc, I used to get 1185 yet on CM 6.x. data2ext would significally increase your I/O score. Look at my screenshot above.

No pic but I average 1400-1500 with latest cm7 nightlies, smartass kernel , and data2ext
I keep seeing people post about smartass kernel and getting high scores. I keep getting scores in the 800d's, could somebody please point in the right direction in getting smartass kernel right now I have 2.6.32.17 cyanogenmod running CM7.
Thanks-
data2ext and being overclocked get you the high quadrant score not smartass. I get the same scores with the kernel included in cm7. Smartass just gets rid of the need for setcpu profiles

If I'm not mistaken doesn't CM7 already come with data2ext installed, because I see that I can move apps to the sd card. Also how would one know what apps are ok to be moved?

apps2sd FAT, not EXT.
Data2ext is different than app2ext it completely frees up your internal storage search in the development section
feel so slow
These scores make me want to get a new SD card and do some apps2ext to see how much nicer it will make my phone (not bad btw).

Check your voltages, try to reduce it to 1325-1350 for 1.7 (default is 1450). That'll help it run cooler, and make it less likely to lock up.
But that said, you may just have an Exynos chip that is not happy at that speed, there is no guarantee that they can all do 1.7.
Rocket ROM V12/Abyss 2.6 @1.7GHz Performance Governor:
Quadrant
Linpack
Antutu
CF-Bench
SunSpider
BrowserMark
Vellamo
And here's a fairly recent benchmark of the Droid Razr with some other phones...you can use this as rough basis of comparison.

TL;DR: The Note really kicks ass when you crank up the clocks!
@croak I have tested your same combination rom/kernel and for now seems the best! with performance gov and cpu set to 1.7ghz the score is very higher in all tests
our note is one of the most promising device, estimating that the development is just at the beginning point
What's going to be amazing is how fast the upcoming A15-based Exynos will be. Clock for clock, it's supposed to be 20% faster than A9 cores. And they will be shipping at 2Ghz!
I expect that the A15 Exynos dual-core will outperform a quad-core Tegra 3 and use a lot less power doing it. And it'll be cheaper to make.

One of the 3 can not be right. If it outperform a quadcore hardly will be needing less power. If it needs less power hardly will outperform quadcores and at end if both are true then no way to be cheaper!!!!

Benchmarks results

Hi guys, I have an arc S from a few weeks, after several tests I found a rom that flies in quadrant, these are the results:
4030 pts without overclocking
4739 pts with overclocking @ 2000 (v15 doom-Kernel)
All the other roms, including Cyanogen v 7.2, have a maximum in 2200-2500 pts.
The rom is SE-tweaked.
How can this difference in performance?
i bet that the guy that made that rom included the quadrant hack, nothin special imo.
probable, because the result is very high, there is a way to verify this?
However, the rom runs pretty fast and without lag, much better than the original.

It's totally normal to have that score.
The guy just used the quadrant hack, if you run different benchmarks (e.g. AnTuTu, Vellamo, etc.) you'll notice that your device is nearly the same to other results.
Ok ok, i always thought it was still not as fast as it could be... So this is max?( i don't want to OC more)
Cause i use regina as launcher, and when i turn back to home it sometimes have to load it all again...

why the low score !!!
I don't know why everyone is obsessed with benchmark results, benchmarks offer very rough results for the estimated performance of your device. If you run any benchmark twice in a row, under the same conditions, it would give 2 completely varrying results, which clearly shows that results are very unreliable and doesn't necessarily mirror to real world performance.
My old Motorola atrix 4g which is a dual core tegra 2 android device overclocked to 1.4GHz used to score an average of 6000 on quadrant, which is pretty much around what most people get on our quad core Notes, but if you compare both phones in terms of real world performance its not even a competition, the note 2 feels 3 generations ahead.
This is mine..
