I Just got the Nexus 10 today. However 2 issues.
There is a buzzing coming from the back of the unit (top left corner next to the volume button) that I can't get rid of even after factory reset etc. The pitch of the buzzing changes when I change the brightness. Any ideas? Likely defective? I can provide videos later as well if required.
Any ideas about the buzzing would be great.
Thanks,
Soloistdk1
I had exactly the same.

I rang up google and they RMA'd the unit. The new one does not have the issue.
Now I just got to wait for the shipping label so I can send the defective unit back.

I had my Nexus 7 for about 10 days and in the past few days, I've noticed slight movement of the back cover (only on one edge with the usb port).
It has became worse yesterday and today when you press front glass and the back cover together, you can feel some movement as well as hear clicking sounds. The other three edges were fine.
So, I went and exchanged for a new unit. My old unit was built in June and the new unit is built in July. Also the old unit had some random reboots (mostly when the unit was asleep). So we shall see if this new unit is any better in staying together and see if the random rebooting is still there.
Just reporting a potential problem for others.
I have a 2013.06 unit and I don't see the same problems as you recall.
How do you figure out the build date?

I just saw the date on the box label. There might be a hidden menu somewhere.
My first unit was fine for about a week then I started noticing the separation.

For me, the problem was on the upper-left edge. Toss in some screen flickering and that led to a quick exchange. New unit is fine.
It's frustrating because my Nexus 7 (2012) had this problem too. Eventually solved that by prying off the back off and some creative use of a binder clip, but I was hoping that this wouldn't be an issue. I had to get a lemon sometime, I guess.
The last week or so I'm having trouble with my top speaker or the left speaker. I don't know what happened to it, it just stopped working. I've tried different kernels and cleaning it with air. I hope it's not a hardware problem and something that is easily fixed. I was wondering if anyone else has heard or run into this problem with their device. If so I'd love any suggestions, thank you.
Have you tried returning to factory stock? Sounds like it's hardware related.
I just received my 6p last week. Top speaker does not work at all. Also, when in a call, speaker phone the other end cannot hear me at all.
I already initiated an RMA.
Mine is a hardware issue. I am still 100% stock. Google told me I had to RMA it with the store I purchased it from or go through Huawei. First time I've heard that. Though, since I just did purchase I'm still within the 14 day window to go through the place I purchased from.

No not yet....I'm trying to see if other's have had this problem and have had a fix other than return it or factory reset. I'll give it another week or so and try. Thanks for the reply.

I really hope it's a software issue, I'm overseas and sending it back really isn't an option. Thank you for the reply, I hope your new one doesn't have the same problem.
top speaker not working

I had to return it and I got it back fixed...Doesn't sound good for your situation.
I really do love the 6P. Next time I will only be buying through Google though.
Top speaker not working
Hi. I'm having the exact same issue. I purchased a replacement speaker but didnt worked either. I can't return the phone and also I like it better than anything in the market. Any workaround on this please?
this is getting irritating. still not fixed
It's a hardware defect.... Replace the phone. No software is going to fix it

Mine had a load of dust in the main mic, required cleaning the bottom grille out. Might want to try that before sending it off.
just wanted to update incase anyone searches for this problem and finds this thread.
I ordrered a new nexus 6p 64 gb gold and it shipped with mmb build on it. I immediately flashed it straight to Nougat. I am happy to say that I do not have this issue any longer on my new device. This is definitely a hardware issue.
I am trying to work with Huawei support to send my device in, but their service is not great at all. Still waiting 2 days for my UPS label...and then 10-14 days before they can get it repaired/replaced. I suppose I will have 2 6p's (which is fine as I have a 4th line anyway).
Congrats
Hello,
My wife dropped on floor her yotaphone 2 and now main screen remains always off and only back screen works.
In mirror mode I don't find a way to check if screen definitely broken. Can you suggest me a way to check if screen is gone?
Is there a way to try to reset everything from the back screen just to check if phone can be saved?

Unfortunately not.
I checked with a local yotaphone service and the cost would be higher than actually the cost of a new yotephone.
I checked Yotaphone site and there the cost would be higher considering the cost of sending the phone there.
Actually my wife is using the EFD screen thanks to mirroring but I'm thinking to buy a new phone.

right, the cost from their website is astronomical, I thought maybe there could be some light in the dark but I think I'll just sell the phone
Similar case here, but mine didn't fall: its front display was on for more than 2 hours, when upper side got very hot and switched off. Now, when I touch the on/off button, the display only briefly flashes in green. E-ink panel and phone both work correctly. I've tried to default reset and reflash firm without results.
Mine is a YD201 bought last october. Have you heard of other cases of front display low realibility?
Same
I do hear rattling inside so I’m gonna open up. I highly suspect something has disconnected in the phone itself. Though poor quality for breaking at one drop without any damage. (Other than the front panel won’t turn on)
Rattling could be due to the side buttons...
BTW I sent mine to repair to the seller -under warranty- and received a new one after 6 long months...
After about a year now my head unit does not respond to dinner input on the touchscreen correctly anymore.
Does anyone know a fix for this?
I have mailed joying to either replace or take back the head unit as this is now the second big problem I have after I had to replace the Mainboard at first because there was a hiss with every digital audio.

Well at least you are able to scroll up and down, mine was totally unresponsive. Got mine in 2016 and 1.5yrs later screen was unresponsive. Sent back for repair,1.5yrs later same issue and the model was EOL. Suspected mine was due to the tropical heat in S.E.A but I could be wrong. Still waiting to see if anyone else is having same issue before getting another new one.
