Another pointless benchmark score - Galaxy S III General

Before the flame bear with me. I usually have my phone under clocked and undervolted but one thing was always annoying me was when I would benchmark I could never get anywhere near the top scores. Well after a few moths I can post my benchmark score.
http://db.tt/2sFdxfck
This score was achieved on cm10 siyah kernel 1800mhz GPU 700mhz i/o vr Pegasus governor .
Anyways pointless but finally managed to get close to the top scores.

And in other news I'm averaging 15 mbps on a 3G network

Benchmark threads are pointless. And there are threads already to post your benchmark scores. It didn't warrant a new thread

Extremely low Smartbench scores

Why are my Smartbench scores so low? 941 productivity. It's lower than stock according to the app. Funny thing is, I'm scoring around 2000 in Quadrant. Running Ice with faux's kernal 0.7.7 oc'd to 1.4. Any thoughts?

Quadrant scores are inaccurate.
and 1pt in SmartBench might not equal 1pt Quadrant.
I figured the points aren't 1 for 1, but the score is very low. Quick check of the benchmark thread showed a few others with the same problem, but some are getting great scores. Any suggestions for improving mine?

I really do not go by quadrant scores.
They are inaccurate and no real benefit.
The only reason i use Quadrant is to test a ROM flash to make sure i didn't forget to wipe the Handset.
Stuff like open Applications, Widgets, Launchers, Themes background data all have factors melted into Quadrant Scores.

Benchmarks??

OK, no one has made a thread about this yet so no time like the present lol
What does everyone think about the benchmark results their getting??.......good or pointless??
I just done a benchmark for the fun of it and got 5894 lol with CM9 + Siyah Kernel (great work guys )

It's a score, not a benchmark. I wish the Android community would post their scores and not their "benchmarks".
bench·mark/ˈbenCHˌmärk/
Noun: A standard or point of reference against which things may be compared or assessed.
Verb: Evaluate or check (something) by comparison with a standard: "we are benchmarking our performance against external criteria".
Benchmarks are a good way to demonstrate the "superiority" of your rom, kernel, app, rain dance [*] to those of the inferior other developers.
Nothing more, nothing less. Never were... for anything capable of benchmarks.

Quadrant and antutu
find attach file. is this accetable?
TIA
Why do people just want to number crunch benchmarks? They really mean nothing.... The best benchmark test is how it works in real life, is the OS smooth, do the apps work well on it, any lag at all... That is the best benchmark. Christ, my old HTC desire nearly had the same scores as the stock sensation according to BM scores, in real life however is was lagging like a pig stuck in mud. Lol

There is no need to check if its true because its not.
Its probably just detected that one of the cores was turned off at the time.

Quadrant is normal. Antutu definitely looks too low. Are you using anything like setcpu or any power saving apps?

Are you triple core guys using siyah kernel? I use System Panel to monitor my phone and it only shows three active cores. Till now I didn't put much into it though, thinking that it's just because there wasn't enough load to start the fourth core. But maybe there is an issue after all?

re
hello
well i used to have very random scores varying from 5000 to 12000
yesterday i ran the test and got 12064 but when checking it says dual-core armv7 processor(vf9v3, neon)
also i have another question regarding the processor, shouldnt it be arm v9 ???

Quadrant optimization

Is quadrant optimized for quad core tablets? I keep seeing quadrant scores that show phones such as the galaxy s2 and any snapdragon s4 phone. Is our processor just not as fast as the others? Or is tegra 3 not optimized? I know that tegra is great for gaming, but is it as fast as some of the other processors on the market? Thanks

This is the worst of the Tegra3's, still good VFM for 160-200

Yeah. So would it be safe to overclock to the full 1.5 ghz? Thanks
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Quadrant scores aren't really consistent as I've had one test give me 5200 and then a second run giving me 4400 without changing anything. Antutu seems to be more consistent with scores and since the benchmark runs longer, it gives a more accurate result.
Sent from my Nexus 7
Cool. Would an overclock improve performance that much?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah you should see improvement in applications with overclocks. Here is my highest in quadrant so far with _motley 1.0.11 @ 1.7ghz. The version is unstable as a lot of people have reported issues. However, 1.0.10 is pretty good. There are also other kernels in the dev section that are overclocked and should benefit you from the stock kernel.

1.6 GHz:
Cool. Is it safe to overclock to that high? I am thinking 1.4-1.5 ghz
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Quadrant never has been to reliable. As I and a few of my buddies have learned, quadrant scores don't mean anything. I have found that cf-bench is quite significantly more accurate and reliable

Thanks. Any overheating with overclock issues

My Galaxy S3 Quadrant Score : 8727 Really!.

I have not seen the wrong friends .. I developed a new missile with rum was like the Galaxy s3. We have i3 CPU processor equivalent notebooks.
Country : Turkey - Manisa
Well, there is an app that boosts quadrant score, so quadrant isn´t reliable, at least to show off in the internet.
Faked.
This thread ****ing sucks.
unless you can tell us what cpu, gpu speed this is and PROVE you haven't got a quadrant booster installed..... this is fake.
Showing off fake does not make you feel any better.

Not that i don't think this is fake, but quadrant booster boosts the io points by loading the app's data into ram so it'll past the database read/write at blazingly fast speed.
If you look at the chart you'll see the green section(the io) is at normal level,so he's not using this.
But if you look at the blue section(the cpu) you'll see that these scores are skyrocketed!
So he's overclocked to hell this phone,or he's just using an optimus g or something that has this kind of cpu performance.
Scores with quadrant are equal to none. Its unreliable and even if you get a high or low score it says nothing about your phone

Hum... Because kayakernel = Siyah kernel... ??? :what: weird
And thanks I know Siyah kernel...
After that if people can't write right a kernel name...
This CPU score of about 28 000 at 1.7 Ghz, even with Siyah kernel, how?, ROM, other tweaks, settings?
I realy don't know how it's possible... Something is strange.
I would like to see an Antutu score, Cf-Bench and Vellamo...

Tweaked system settings, no big deal good for running one program and nothing else. Like running something with a priority of realtime in Windows.
Pump the CPU to stay at 1.7, run Quadrant exit out go to console raise its nice priority etc, go back and bingo nice big scores!
What's the point of this post, to show all you can use System Tuner or scripts or the console?
