So guys..my phone doesn't respond anymore. It was fine all along until today, I can't press on anything on the screen.
I can only get into clock recovery only, nothing else I can do.
Is there a file that can fix this issue???
Thanks.
It looks to me like a touchscreen issue and not related to G sensor...
same thing happened to me it just suddenly touch is not working cant even unlock the screen but the hard keys still works...
does this mean its the end of flashing on my hd2?
Help please
Definitely NO, just you should replace your touchscreen, somehow a common problem for this future(former) hardware-beast(HD2)

I think that you are stuck with taking it apart again to see what you missed. Not sure where the magnets are located I have scanned thru the manual but haven't given it a real good reading yet.
Good Luck,
Kirby
i've done it 3 times already, every screw is in place, nothing is missing, could that be a software problem, or keybddr.dll problem, ?

Hello
My touchscreen is dead.
I can't calibrate it correctly, most of the time i can't calibrate it at all....
I have to replace it but i can't do it overnight.
My big problem :
I can't set the alarm only using the keyboard.
How can i do it please ? I use my phone to wake me up, it's the only thing i have for that.
Also, is there a way to set up a key to lock the keypad/touchscreen ?
Because of my alignement problem, it can click anywhere anytime...
btw, do i have to buy just the touchscreen film or the full lcd with touchscreen ?
Will it fix once and for all the alignement problem ?
Thx
Here's an exemple. See where is the pen and where is the actual line ??
Anyone ? please

Hi.
My screen just suddenly died, but I don't think it's a hardware problem, cause while starting it up I get vibration-response from it when touching the screen, but when PIN is asked the screen just don't work.
Any idea how I can fix this?
Thanks for any help!
No image at all + touch responses working = dead lcd display, but working digitizer. You will require a new screen module to replace it.

Hi and thanks for answer.
I get image and I get response on the touch until the PIN-code is asked, then the response goes away but the image is still there.
Any idea what might have gone wrong and how to fix it?

So you are saying the LCD is working, and the touchscreen is working?
Either your software is jammed or your touch-calibration is way off.
Either way, a hard-reset is the easiest way to resolve your problem.
There is no problem with the "visual screen", I see everything I used to see (so the LCD should be OK). It's just that it won't "recognize" or "answer" when I touch it, after a while.
I start it up, and everything seems OK. When "Windows Mobile 6.1" is shown the phone vibrates when I touch the screen. That means that it recognizes my touch, so the hardware should be OK. But when the PIN-code is asked, there is no feedback in vibration or anything when the screen is touched. The touch is just all dead, and the numbers I press won't come up or anything.
So, I think it's a software fail. I'm running one of Dutty's older ROMs, could that be a problem?
Can I flash it to another ROM with the "dead" touchscreen?
I tried to hard reset it now. Still the same problem, no response on touch.
The question : is it a hardware or a software problem.
Assuming it is a software problem - a hard reset would have solved it (since it worked before)
So the likely problem is the digitizer.
Yeah, it must be the digitizer. Is that something I can change / replace / fix myself, or do I need to send it to repair?
Thanks for help btw!

Actually i checked this, even tried to dismantle, but stopped once it reached to motherboard section and I re fixed all (i as feared that it may damage my phone completely)
Any way thanks for the help.
So my touch screen hasn't been responsive for the last few days. It's only partially responsive sometimes and not at all others. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it? If not does anyone know if this would count as a manufacturer defect and I fould get it replaced?
For how long have you had it? It should go under warranty.

Is your phone overclocked? Or even rooted?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I'm having a touchscreen issue too. However it only occurs when keyboard has been flipped out. The entire screen's touch capability does not work, including the touch buttons search, back, menu and home. If you close the screen over the keyboard even a little bit. The touchscreen works perfectly. Even if you then flip it all the way back out again it works, until you close and open it again.
Anyone experienced this? Or have an idea if this should just be replaced under warranty?

Sounds like a classic case of bad ribbon cable.
If you are under warranty, replace it. If not, it could be something as simple as replacing the cable the connects the two halves of the phone together.
