Have you tried a different battery?
Have you tried cooling the device?
If the bootloader is intact just get an another
battery and flash a WM 6.5 rom via a SD card.
Please keep us posted....all the best.

HI everybody, first i am from germany so excuse my english
i have a Herm 300 that belongs to a friend of mine, he just bricked his phone during a flash procedure.
It shows the same as in point 4 described here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_UpgradeProblems
so i did that MTTY thing and after the reboot on the screen appears something like:
+
if u want to rest all date press QWERTY (R) for YES
and QWERTY (dunno that letteranymore) for no
so i pressed R for YEs and softresetted with stylus.
Now i cannot turn that device on, no led lids up nothing!
so i put the battery out an plugged in the chgarger cable
et voilá a red led lits up on the right corner.
i cannot turn the device on and when i put the battery back, the red led tunrs off.
Is here someone who can help me?
thanks!

If you can get your hands on another battery then try that as the led lights up meaning that the hardware is still working. Battery could be bung...
Cheers...
but with a charger cable plugged in, it mustbe possible to start up the device or?
When i turn out battery from my 'HTc Touch and plug in charger, i can start the device but not the herm?
greets
Linus02
You can't start the Hermes without a good battery installed....
The other day i let my trinity go completly flat because i was not near my charger, when i did get the chance to put it on charge all it would do is flash the stripes with colours, if i take the battery out it just lights up the red charging light but as soon as a put the bat back in it sarts flashing again, if i let it do the flashing thing with the charger plugged in for about an hour the phone will turn on but as soon as the battery starts to die it starts the flashing stripes again. i think it may be the battery but it seems unlikely.
Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
Thanks, paul
BUMP!
Phone is working now aslong as a charge it everyday but pc won't reconise it, i tried active sync and wm5 storage am using win vista any help please.
Thanks, paul
Just got my hands on a htc hd 2, only problem is, it was rooted with nand android and magdlr but the sd card is missing, i booted it up once and it froze on the go go go ! screen and then died, charged and booted it up again the screen is blank and only illuminates now, any idea what to do? I have a blank sd card in it now.
What have you tried to do? Have you tried holding the power button while it's turning on to get in to MAGLDR? Hold it down until it shows all the available services.
You should also turn phone off and boot into thye bootloader screen and see if you have a HSPL or what..... You can turn phone on while holding volume down button.
I guess the screen is the problem because now its just blank, doesn't even bother to illuminate and i noticed the bottom part of it getting warm whenever i try to charge it. Any ideas on how much a repair would cost?
Ud probably be able to get one off of ebay or craigslist..dont really kno a price, someone could be hurtin for a few extra Bucks and would let one go for cheaper then others wouldwould

Ok, it might not be the screen, but here's the problem. I turn the phone on, black screen no illuminating either. I plug it in to charge, the orange led comes on, if i plug it out the orange led is still on (is that supposed to happen??). I plug it into my computer it doesn't read it but the phone can still charge. Any ideas on what this problem could be, i don't wanna go changing the screen if that's not the problem at all.
This is a link to something similar when i turn on the phone

HI ALL
I purchased this device about two weeks ago. The device was version 2.3.6.
The device worked very well. But for the first time it switches due to complete battery.
When I Connect it to charger a blue screen appeared.
Now there is no blue screen also.
Sometimes appears the logo IDEOS on the screen and sometimes red light flashes on top.
pleass try to help my.
ya.
Did you try to flash a stock ROM? Have a read on this thread nad follow some hints.. might work.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138673&highlight=bluescreen
Thanks for the response.
bus as i sayed there is no blue screen any more.
when i connect it to the chargere ther is a flash red light on top. and after ~one minutes the logo "IDEOS" and thats all .
i didnt have any experience with "rom root atcc ...." so maybe im doing somthing wrong.
thanks again.
So the led just flashes red and then nothing happens. I had that happen to me once (SHAT MY PANTS), turns out the battery was flat dead.. attached it to the charger, left it for a while and voila..
But since you had a bluescreen (which I know doesnt occur anymore) it might be a different story... I'm sorry mate.
Unless you can get into PINK screen, I'm not sure what to tell you. What you can do, if you have a volt meter, test the battery!!
So I checked the battery voltage meter and the result shows #3.
What does it mean.
thanks.
Do you mean NUMBER 3? as in 3 volts?
yes, number 3 .
3 volts.
thanks
So that means that the battery still got some juice in it, but that doesnt mean it's not defective.
Try to remove the battery from the phone, plug the phone to the charger and try to switch it on. The phone should start up via USB power without battery (I tested it) if it does the same thing, then definitely it has nothing to do with battery.
Is the IDEOS logo still appearing? or did it stop?
Hi there, i've the problem. I've just tesing new Android ROM on my htc, intallation was succesful but phone won't boot (Freeze on Android Splash Logo). Then i've got any reaction when "RED" button is tap, but MAGLDR loading correctly when i plug in the USB cable plugget to PC or AC/DC adapter on the other side. First thing i suggested - maybe battery is low - so i replace MAG with cLK and charge the battery on turn off phone. LED color change from red to green and still same problem :/ Can anybody help ?
