Hi guys, just flashed Pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.5 Tango.. and it's a fantastic rom, with no faults that's for sure but I am noticing slight lagging here and there.
Does anyone know which is the fastest and most stable wp7 rom?

only problem is speed of your SDcard.... you dont change anything if change ROM....

in HD2 speed depend only to speed of SDcard....

I tried Pdaimatejam 7.8 and am currently using Ansar 8773 v1. I think Pdaimatejam's ROM was faster but Ansar's one is more stable.

With the 7.8 HD2O rom and a class 10 16gb Verbatim card I got a lousy 4.68 MB/s.
Isn't it too slow for a class 10 SD?

Everyone is going to have a different opinion since no two people use their phones in exactly the same way, so their answers will not be right for you. Please try the various ROMs until you find one that works for you.

I am sure if this is possible there is possibility of data being corrupted as some of it resides on NAND and some on RAM

they are two diffrent ideas because in order to place data in ram it has to place it there when booting vs nand where everything is off device memory. every time u shut off the device however, ram is cleared so you would need a back up of the data to replace it on next boot.
maybe some data could placed on soreage card before flashing ...
and then the data from card could be loaded into ram on each start ...
mmhh thats sounds good for me

I believe what Kounno did,was creating a data.img on SD card it has nothing to do with RAM.I tried it already and it created my data.img on first boot just like SD builds and the rom itself was stored in NAND. At least that's what i thought was going on when i tried it.
Anyway, he did it and told us this morning. He seemed rather happy about it....

No, as far as I understand...
This helps more on the update of various system parts... but NANDram with data.img support will be GREAT.
I am more concerned with polishing various bugs and issues ( real WiFi and BT MAC address, low call volume, various freezes), because very often we see builds which implement flashy ideas and tweaks, with known bugs staying like forever... I cannot help, unfortunately...

I don't think we will get any speed increase on Ram builds run from NAND compared to RAM builds ran from SD card. They will both function exactly the same... the whole OS is loaded to RAM. The only difference will be where the OS is stored. It will be good to have some RAM builds for people using NAND, just don't expect to see any speed difference from the SD RAM builds.

What's new with the HD2 Android game?

I haven't had an HD2 since November of 2010, can somebody tell me what the latest and greatest developments for Android on this phone are? I'm just wondering what improvements have been made since I last had the HD2.
A slight speed and battery life improvement I guess. Able to install android to NAND/Rom. For NAND we can create a ext 3/4 partition so as to install apps into the sd card. We have CWM. Uhhh Irrelevant for android but we can install WP7, which has 720p recording. That'ss all I can think of I guess.

Best all round & simple SD rom

Hi all, I have not been around here for a while due to commitments but I'm back now and wondering what is the best and most stable ROM around at the moment?
I'm using a m-deejay rom at the moment on my HD2 but I have allways had some problems with the GPS and the 3G connection dropping.
Could someone recommend a ROM with the features working and pretty easy to run from my SD card?
Many thanks in advance

First of all, ALL roms posted here are great and it is very difficult to decide which one is best. It totally depends on one's taste and requirements. But if you ask for my fav ROM then it's AmericanAndroid's SD ROM.
Thanks very much for the replies guys!
I'm just testing out american droid now. Can't find the andriod market place on there though

First of all, both of those are Sense 3/3.5 builds. Others have differing opinions, but I personally find them to be extremely laggy, so I use CM7 ROMs instead. It's a shame because I really like the Sense UI, but can't do much about it. Some things which will improve your user experience are:
1. Overclock using SetCPU, will make the ROM smoother
2. Use a task killer. Again, there are largely varying opinions on this but I always, without fail, find that my ROM runs smoother with 200mb free RAM than with 100mb.
3. Change your ROM. This is probably the best thing you can do, CM7 ROMs (e.g. Hyperdroid, Typhoon, Dorimanx etc.) and MIUI ROMs are much faster than Sense 3.0/3.5 ROMs. However, the fastest ROMs in my opinion are actually the Android 2.2 Sense 2.0 ROMs. Unbelievably fast and smooth with the Sense experience
ok and thank you.

Great thread and stuff, but this is misleading, it implies that he needs to switch to cLK. @OP, don't bother, it has no performance advantages over MAGLDR and is far too much effort.

Hmm, people actually recommend a class 2 SD card for this sort of stuff I think. Not sure whether or not this is only for SD Android, but this thread shows that most people find that a Class 2 SD is more than fast enough. On the last page, one post says that the transfer from a class 2 to a class 10 made no difference.

If your considering changing to cLK their is a newer one that is better than MAGLDR. I personally believe cLK for Android has been better the entire time but the new 1.5 version certainly is. My guide is written for cLk 1.4 which if your not sure what your doing that is better for now. But cLk 1.5 supports repartitioning without a computer and comes with recovery built in. None the less, I really did not mean to link to that guide the first time. I just copy and pasted the wrong thing accidently.

Most NAND ROMs can be installed on EU HD2s provided you have an EXT partition on your SD card. Pick any ICS or above ROM and flash, you should have HWA.

I don't use my HD2 any more but I used to use NexusHD2 JB as my daily ROM. Battery life was as good as any other ROM and performance in general wasn't as good as GB but performance in heavy tasks (e.g. web browsing, gaming etc.) was hugely helped by the HWA in ICS and JB ROMs. I think ICS was marginally faster than JB for me (used NexusHD2 ICS as well) but the trade off was that it had no Google Now, and I couldn't mock my friend's One X for not having JB when my three year old phone did
i have used both, GB with HWA was better for gaming

I asked somewhere, and someone said it's possible to have HWA on GB (MIUI & Sense Only). I'm not sure if he's right, and I really can't find the post in which I asked the question and the search is not helping :/ ..

Yes, you may have two phones but telling us that you have such and such on that device and you want it on the HD2 is just ridiculous.
About the blackout, we don't really know. But please don't go and ask there, if there is something they'll release it.
You can try mwakious' running ROM, he claims to have Hardware Acceleration and it's a sense ROM.
@Marvlesz Whoa, didn't know about that. Thanks for the heads up, since I'm not using my HD2 any more I'll flash it and check out what it's like.
EDIT: Hmm, if there is HWA then I don't really see much difference. It's marginally faster than barebones CM7 though.
