Was trying to install wp7 on my hd2, but now im stucked on magldr version 1.13. Forgot that the volume buttons doesnt work and i cant get the phone out of there. Try to load original rom or even task 29 but nothing becuase the pc doesnt recognize it. When the phone its booting it says something like cant boot from sd android kernel fail and then the menu and i can select only the first 1 boot wph.
Is there a way to get the phone out of there, or my only hope its to repair the volume button.
thanks
If you haven't been able to flash anything then as long as you just reboot your phone you'll just go back to whatever ROM you had previously
I have the same problem, after having upgraded to 1.13. Whenever i try to install a NAND version of Android, i am stuck with the splashscreen of the build i am trying to boot into. Bear in mind that every ROM i flash is flashed without any problems. So I guess it is not the NAND memory thats broken or faulty. The only build i am capable of running, is DFT's WP7 stock build. This loads perfectly, but due to the battery drain i would VERY much like to get rid of it and use my beloved MDJs Gingerbread/CM7 2.6 build.
To avoid any trouble i thought of just flashing a Task29, and a stock WM65 ROM to 'reset' to stock, that is, installing a custom ROM from SD card, so SPL is restored to factory version. However, i am not able to enter bootloader mode on my HD2. It can only boot into Magldr and succ. WP7. It doesn't help to press vol down, and it is not broken as I can use it in WP7. It seems as though HSPL is skipped and the phone is boot directly into magldr. This should NOT happen.
Anyways, this is very much close to a bricked device for me, so i am very sad these days. Does ANYONE know a trick that would enable me to replace magldr 1.13 with the working 1.12 without the tri-colour bootscreen of spl?
i remove the battery but when the hd2 start again it boots instantly to magldr, i need another way to flash it different to the three color screen (i cant get there becuase the volume down button its broke).
i have a problem like that
If your volume keys don't work, then there is seriously, no other way. You can't get into bootloader mode without the volume keys, and the you can't flash a different rom without the volume keys, so yeah, your device is pretty much bricked....
But IF the vol. down key works, I assume that it is something with MAGLDR or HSPL, or possibly an error in RAM. Are there anything that can be flashed via magldr that checks the state of underlying HSPL?
any fix to this??? same issue following the steps and volume buttons dont work. I can select the boot wph ....wph not installed
Maybe I'm tired or too old... but I don't understand your questions
You can imagine the different "softs" as layers:
1st: HSPL (or SPL) - it's the one you enter by pressing vol-down while booting.
this one give you the ability to flah a WM ROM (original or custom), a radio or MAGLDR
So if vol-down if dead... your phone also
nb: the first splash screen is at this level, so it will be still here after flash of MAGDR, CWM, NAND, WM7...
2nd: MAGLDR - it's the one you go in by pressing "end call" while booting.
It gives the ability to flash a NAND or WM7 via DFT
So if "end call" is dead... you're not But it's anoying I think...
3rd: CWM - it's the one you go in by selecting "AD recovery" in MAGLDR
It gives you the ability to flash a "CWM NAND" or an update... It also gives the ability to backup/restore a NAND.
So please clarify your question if you need help. More important do not post different problem by saying "same here". It's just confusing. Even if you can't boot your NAND it's not always the same problem
Let's try again dudes

Ok guys please help me I don't wanna start new thread
I installed on my hd2:
-HSPL 2.08
-Radio 2.15.50.14
-Magldr 1.13
-CMR
First of all I noticed that I dont have to hold the power button to get into the magldr menu.
I couldn't get into Boot As SD so I wanted to flash custom rom from bootloader. Unfortunately I can't do that. Even tried HR. Is there any solution to flash stock ROM
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Stuck for me too
I just flashed the latest hspl3, radio code and MAGLDR 1.13.
When I try to boot MCCM 4.5 from SD it hangs on the main Android Home Screen. When I try to boot WPH MAGLDR says that WPH is not installed.
I am still running Windows Mobile 6.5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I figured out the Android problem (I needed a different rootfs).
I have magldr 1.13 working!!!!
However, when I try to run DAF I get the same:
"An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: Config load failed.
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (725)
Error Description: CONFIG: can't open config file
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (304)"
error that I have seen all over XDA-Dev.
However, none of the fixes I have seen on here have worked. I am running Windows 7 Professional.
I have tried:
Disabling Use USB in the Window Mobile Device Center
I have tried ANDR_INSTALL
I have rebooted
I have tried deleting all of the unattached USB device in the device manager.
I have tried using LeoAdvancedRUU
I have tried starting DAF first and then connecting the usb cable
I have tried connecting the USB cable first and then the starting DAF.
Help please!!! I was up until 8:30 AM trying to get this to work (I started at about 10:00 PM).
i also put the hd2 into the freezer for 10 minutes to solve heat problem and it doesn't start bootloaderi...
the nand corrupted..it start magdle but don't start android or cwm..there is nothing to do

Hello, please help me!! I wanted to install android on my new HTC HD2.
What I did:
Installed hardslp 2.08
Radio 2.15.50.14
MAGLDR 1.13
after installed magldr it sent me to it's menu. I select USB flasher and then go to my Android Rom unrared folder, i run DAF file. Then it starts to isntall something(1-3) seconds. says everything is done and thren reboot system and says "nand kernel open failed" and sends me back to menu.
i tried many times and with another Android but nothing helped! Tried to install Clockwork mode, same problem. Then tried to isntall 29 but this program did not want to install saying that it couldnt connect with HD2. I thought it is something wrong with my computer. I borrowed my friend's laptop and tried to install Android from his. Installing process took a little bit more time but the same problem: It congratulates me that everything is done then reboots, then kernel error appears for 1 sec and sends me back to main menu.
Then I deleted Sync program(windws phone something..) and tried new ROM. Now DAF program says me next:
An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (736)
Please help me !!
Hi,
Which ROM are you trying to install?
Which operating system have you got on your pc/laptop?
Are you right clicking on the DAF and selecting run as administrator?
Also when you go to USB Flasher and connect your HD2 to your computer are you giving a minute to establish a connection?
Give it a minute to establish connection, and try another Rom. Maybe your HD2 is 512 (EU), and you are trying to install ROM for 1024 HD2 (Tmobile US).
Did you read, maybe it is clockwork rom, not magldr?
Here is the link for MAGLDR flashing rom, stock Desire
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893620
it does not support ext partitions on sd card. But you can try another roms. And if you dont know how to flash it via Clockwork, here is the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044830
p.s. Better ROMs are that that you flash via clockwork. Study that, it is easy.
Thanks to guys who wrote that tutorials
And here are all ROMs for HD2

Hey guys,
currently I´m trying to flash Android NAND on a HD2.
Apparently there are some problems with the bootloader.
I tried two different ways, which are explained in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905060
First I tried to install MAGLDR 1.13. Here is the problem that MAGLDR 1.13 seems not to be properly installed because the phone wont boot in the MAGLDR bootloader. It just hangs at the green/white HTC bootscreen.
As second method I tried to flash cLK 1.4. Here the bootloader seems to be installed properly but it´s not possible to install the ClockworkMod Recovery. Every time I start the batch file it hangs on "waiting for device".
Since I tried some things I only can boot into the bootloader and no longer load Windows.
I´ve installed the latest radio (Radio Leo 2.15.50.14) and HSPL (3.03).
Any ideas what I can do know?
when you install magldr it wipes windows off the deivce, you are aware of that?
when you start the device with magldr you need to hold the power off button til you get the menu up then you can use the usb flasher if it is a daf installer or you need to install CWM recovery and install a rom that way
either way windows will no longer be on your device
Yeah I know this. But the problem is that the magldr bootloader is not booting. It hangs on the white HTC screen. Without any other reaction.

what version of android did you install? you need HSPL 2.08 or it will not work anways
if all you done was install magldr without install anything else it will do exactly as you have described because there is nothing for it to load up
I think you misunderstood me
Normally if magldr was installed correctly I should see a screen like this (http://www.xda-developers.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/MAGLDR-boot-menu.jpg), when I boot with hold power button+left arrow key.
But when I press this combination it does not boot to this screen. It just does nothing. And this is why I can´t proceed with any instruction, because I need a working magldr.

I'm new to all this too so bare with me.
I think you may have installed the wrong HSPL. This is from the HSPL thread.
Android / WP7 / MAGLDR don't support HSPL3.03/OSPL3.03.
You need HSPL2.08 to run Android / WP7 / MAGLDR
When you installed HSPL you chose the wrong option. Someone more knowlegable will hopefully come along and tell you how to fix it.
After destroying and downgrading of HSPL with an original HTC Win Rom I could install a new HSPL again...
Don´t ask me how I´ve done this, but it worked
So thanks to all!
Earlier today my custom ROM froze. I rebooted the phone by taking the battery out and the phone would only go as far as the Magldr screen where it says "Go Go Go", no matter how many times I tried, the ROM wouldn't boot.
So I wiped my phone with Task29 (even tried installing an original WM6.5 ROM), and tried to reinstall Magldr and a new ROM. However, after I run Task29 and Magldr and turn the phone on, only the white HTC screen displays. I could not get the phone to display the Magldr menu.
Finally after repeating the above a couple of times, I managed to get the Magldr menu to display, but once I install the CM Recovery and enter AD Recovery to install the new ROM, Magldr again gets stuck after displaying 'Go Go Go!'.
I also note that as the phone boots up into Magldr, one of the lines say "nand kernel open failed".
Any idea what is happening and why I cannot boot into Ad Recovery (or my ROM) and always get stuck on 'Go Go Go!'?
it could be a corrupted NAND ic?
have you tried to boot SD?

if that is the case it seems like your nand is OK or there could be just soem bad blocks(i'm just guessing here)
how about giving this a try then run an SD version before going to NAND version
.. run HD2 toolkit
...bootloader
- HSPL 2.08
- Task 29
- Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14 >>> not necessary if you have it already
- MagLDR
- MagLDR Repartition 300/ 45
...boot to magldr
- Magldr
- Service
- Boot source > ad sd
Hello everybody,
i am trying to install android and i have a lot a problem.
First of all, the phone belonged to my bro. One year ago, he wanted to install android but he failed and he bought an other phone. Because it's a good phone, i have decided to do it but it's not very easy....
The phone: white screen without HTC logo, hspl 2.08spl installed
My pc: W7 /usb ok
What i tried:
- change the hspl version : i tried to install an other version, just to try the soft and it was written on the screen that it's a success but nothing change on the version. I mean, i tried to install the 3.03 version but the version stay on 2.08spl even if the message is a success.
- lauch Task29: it's not working. I have a msg error
- install a rom: same problem
I dont remember exactly which error message it was. One was due to a communication error and the other because of the corruption of the imag(error 276).
Do you have an idea?

My advice is for you to start over from scratch turkey...put the device in bootloader mode and run the AIO HD2 Toolkit and perform a Task 29; once done, put the device in bootloader mode again and run MAGLDR. If you're dead in the water at either of these...get drunk and sing to your cat!

Install last HtcSync version
After
If in the bootloader you read on the second line you can read SPL-2.08.HSPL
flash a radio Rom (2.12 or 2.15)
Try to install Clk 1.5.x (Leoimg.nbh on sd card root, you have to start your hd2 with power + vol- at the same time and follow the instructions)
After you can enter in Clk (power + arrow touch) , settings, resize system partition, and after go to recovery to partition your sdcard and install the zip of the rom of your choice....

I installed the last HTCSync, I checked again my bootloader, and it's the 2.08 HSPL.
I try to flash a radio rom but it failed (ERROR 270- update error: the image file is corrupted.). I try again and it failed again but with an other error message(ERROR 286-update error: the ROM Update Utility has encountered communication errors during the update process).
May I have to try to install Clk or it's not neccessary because I don't have a sd card?
the easiest way is with a SdCard, but it's possible with Hd2 Toolkit ...

Nothing working... Still the same message error...
Is my phone dead? Someone can help me? Pleeeeeaaaaaase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
download stock windows mobile rom. if it's an eu hd2, download an international rom. if it's tmous (tmobile usa), download its' rom.
What i mean is to download the corresponding rom to your device. be sure not to flash the wrong one.
before you start, download hspl4 package from here
run it on your computer, and install 2.08 HSPL (i know you have it, reinstall it)
next run the ruu executable you downloaded (the windows mobile rom i told you to download)
if it flashes, you can flash magldr and try. try AFTER you flash windows mobile, and a RADIO (suggesting 2.15)
if that doesn't work, extract the nbh from the executable, install SPL3.03 , rename nbh to LEOIMG.nbh , in capital letters, put it on your sd<= 4gb
turn phone in bootloader, you should be able to flash the rom. after flashing it reflash hspl and magldr
bro..download windows mobile device center software..Install it on your PC..Then install hd2 toolkit. switch off your hd2. Press volume down and power button until it shows 3 coloured screen.then install hspl, repeat the step and then install magldr, then let it boot up. then select the usb flasher on magldr, repartition according the rom that you want to install.
Hello everybody, I tried your 2 last advices but nothing works. Any idea?
Read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1251641
Don't have Sd card and sim card inserted while trying to fix it.
Try on other pc with windows, htc sync and windows Mobile device center installed.
Next thing, are you sure that you have HSPL and not SPL installed, its not same thing and task29 will not work.

Thank you. I will try.
