...that the Chinese board where we're getting a few ROMs from, is incredibly popular. We are the second most popular HTC device there, if not the most popular one at all, and we're obviously only trailing behind the HTC Desire. With almost 9k topics, and 351k posts, this board's buzzing with activity!
http://bbs.anzhi.com/
Now, now, don't assume I'm very biased and saying that XDA should be the primary home of all development, regardless of platform and manufacturer. That's a horrible thing to say, and it would hurt me if anyone said so. I'm just merely comparing this noteworthy find of a forum with the fact that the HTC Legend is pretty much approaching legacy-status in terms of development. Yet the enthusiasm possessed by this community is substantial. Unfortunately, their work goes mainly unnoticed, I've seen. Maybe the ICS ROM was worth a mention to make its way to our shores, but once you've seen the developments that are offered, you'll be very, very intrigued.

For my adventure, I'm using last night's Google Chrome Canary build, with the built-in Google Translate feature, translating Chinese (simplified) to English, via Google Translate's service. I do not know more than a few phrases in the Chinese dialects, so for the sake of sharing this stuff, bear with me.

The stickies are extremely useful, providing methods and ideas I'd never even heard of even browsing through our home here on XDA.
ROMs, being obviously popular, stay at the top of the board. But queries, experiences, and other generic discussions get posts in a day, and often-times, extend to the fourth page. Wow, this forum really is active!
http://bbs.anzhi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=4763283&page=1
Let's take a gander in a ROM's thread:
Whoa, this ROM looks like one from the original glory days of the HTC Hero!
Some heavily modified Sense ROMs lie here:
http://bbs.anzhi.com/thread-3834911-1-1.html
http://bbs.anzhi.com/thread-3821971-1-1.html
http://bbs.anzhi.com/thread-4678580-1-1.html
But most interesting is a functional, developer's build of Sense 3.5:
http://bbs.anzhi.com/forum.php?mod=...teline&typeid=237&typeid=237&orderby=dateline
These are just some finds that are sticking out obviously whilst quickly skimming the forum. I'm sure there are many more worthwhile developments of times past and present that I definitely might have missed, but this is where I choose to conclude tonight's adventure.
I hope I've helped create some exposure in regards to the development on the HTC Legend. Although for many of us who have/had two-year contracts, they're quickly coming to a close, and we migrate to better devices. But there are others who might be under other stressful circumstances (Canadians with those dreaded 3-year contracts), or wish to hang on to our dear Legends for a bit longer. I hope I've instilled some hope that there is a huge backing of life left in our fair Legends, and its legacy will continue to live on for a period no cellular commitment may measure.
While it may seem hopeless in browsing a foreign forum searching for your next everyday tool, or further stimulating a hobby, I can only say now that I wish only the very best for that only good things will come for the HTC Legend in this foreseeable future.
Love,
Bryan
This is awesome news, maybe some one with proper dev skills who love the legend so much they don't/won't get rid of it till its completely broken (thegrammerfreak for example )
Will find this information useful and want to convert the Chinese version rom/s for themselves (us) :-D

Thanks for the heads up, nice to see some new ROMS this place has become very quite.
One question though, how do you download the ROMS? I have registered and translated the page but to get the download link you need to reply. I cant seem to reply as I cant figure out what verification code they are asking me fill out.
Code:
Enter the following answer to the question
"An intellectual network" before the word is the word
WTF??
Right, that's a math equation to prevent spammers from flooding the forum. Just move your mouse around the field and you'll get a simple addition/subtraction problem.
Trying out a "new legend" rom from that forum
Just finshed downloading all the files (except the kernel) and just started the flashing (brushing) process
[ ROM Release ] [Devil] 2.3.5 Second Edition | | 3.0 style | | Support ext partition | | transparent landscaping | | Updated kernel fill (September 10)
http://bbs.anzhi.com/thread-3833694-1-1.html
Edit:- Flashed rom, yes it's working, starts up in chinese, found settings menu, changed to english, most stuff is in chinese. Looks pretty much like a cyanogenmod or the same as the devil rom already posted in the dev. section, it has ADW launcher....
There are some nice ROMs alright. Pity that you don't have the option to change all settings to English though.
Seeing how most of the devs are from Hong Kong, some ROMs do offer an option in English, their secondary official language in government.

Cheers, Ill check a few more out so.
I downloaded and installed Sense theme for CM. I am not sure how to enable it. Can someone tell me how to?
Was it a patch you downloaded? If so, did you flash the .zip?
Either way, even if it was an .apk, you can find themes, and activate them, from CM's Theme Chooser app.
I can't really say much more without further detail.
Would be nice, if the ROMS were translated.
It was the 7 MB patch that i downloaded. It was the zip file, I extracted the .apk, copied it to memory card and installed them.
I cannot find it in theme chooser. How to flash the whole zip file? From the recovery menu?
I assume you would flash it like you would a patch, so it would accompany the ROM. Don't wipe anything, and just flash it.
Don't take my word for it though, I can't fully understand the translation.
Well I installed google pack that comes with CM7 like that (without wiping), I suppose thats one way to do things.
Just when I leave....
Damnit
There are tools to translate ROMs (mostly from when MIUI became popular), so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that one of these ROMs could get a home on XDA. Maybe pick a few we like, start translating (just get it into the most basic of English, then we could work it out from there) and get permission from the original dev to post a translated copy here. #justsayin'
I've already gotten permission to repost some of the ROMs, but I keep neglecting that new authority, people can just get it themselves anyway.
As for translation, some ROMs are offered in English anyway, just Ctrl + F "English".
This site is based in SAR Hong Kong, and one of its official languages is English.
A bootable, work-in-progress, no rules broken MIUI GB ROM can now be found. From the guy who brought the very early ICS ROM to XDA. Though he's more active on this forum from what I gather monitoring:

If you are coming from another ROM that uses speedmod, suckerpunch, or a kernel with Universal Lagfix, then you should be able to just flash right on top of it from CWM. This ROM will WIPE all data on your internal SD card.
Otherwise, I recommend that you ODIN back to stock/Master Clear, and then flash this rom in clockwork recovery.
1. Flash a ROM created in Doc's Rom Kitchen, preferably the one I have provided.
2. After rebooting, then flash the Kitchen Cleaner.
3. After rebooting, feel free to go back into recovery to enable lagfix and tweaks.
4. Enjoy!

There's already a kitchen/custom rom thread that Borg maintains. Considering this is Docs base did he sign off on this? I only ask because others have done this have since closed the thread.
Sent from my liberated Captivate via XDA App.
Well it is his base, but it has been changed a pretty good bit.
Agreed but that's the whole idea of the kitchen though. Good luck dude. Best to give Doc a heads up though, it's only right.
Sent from my liberated Captivate via XDA App.
I'm not trying to say I did all this by myself, I even wrote in the topic that I AM NOT A DEV. I will let Doc know about this thread though.
why wouldn't doc want people to share what they had made with his kitchen.
its clearly advertised and acknowledged so this seems like it is advertising for his thread/product. Seems like if anything this would just make people more interested in trying his kitchen and frequenting his thread or looking to his others works.

Multiple reasons, but as Android is aOSp (emphasizing 'open source'), it isn't a huge deal. It's just that technically what the OP did (or could have done) was take someone else's custom ROM and change a few things then call it his own. That's why people are afraid of others republishing ROMs from the kitchen. But as long as the owner acknowledges that they are not a dev (X), they used the kitchen (X) which belongs to someone else (X), and they notified that 'someone else' beforehand (sorta x...) and got the okay from them (didn't do that, but s'all good), then they're in the clear.
On to the ROM: Seems like an okay idea. I'm assuming there aren't really any bugs... but for those who'd want to start from the bottom up, or just stay at the bottom, this is a good idea (though the bottom up is why we have the ROM Kitchen lol).

I get that...but this is the 2nd time i have seen a forum member get beaten up for what someone else (could have done). If the poster doesn't do it and gives proper credit and acknowledgment of the source for their material.....other posters should stop whining.
Personally i think this posters credit/acknowledgment in the OP was enough.....but for future reference maybe it will help if anyone doing this put the cred to the kitchen in the thread title.
Seriously...its just free advertising and props for a really cool concept/dev/customization tool (the kitchen) that might inspire other members to play with and utilize it which i would imagine was the desired end result of its creators.
If anyone is interested, I can make 2 versions of the rom. One with absolute basics (70-ish MB) and this one (115-ish MB).
I think the kitchen was the best thing to happen, all I wanted to do was share something that made me really happy. I don't care about the credit or the fame.

+1 Thread Title; +1 stop the negativity and flame
I would suggest we propose a blanket solution via thread Title format change to Doc&Stef and Captainkrtek:
Thread Title:"[ROM- Romkitchen.org]:v.9.xx : CleanFreak v0.9....."
Attempt to get permission and keep working. It seems that borguesian also released GingerBorgMod in this same spirit.
In fact maybe that means that the thread title should read
:"[ROM- Romkitchen.org]:v.9.xx :Gingerborgmod- CleanFreak v0.9....."
One desire of mine is that we continue to develop knowledge about the kitchens functionality and facilitate development of the Captivate side of it.
I think Cappy users are using the kitchen and not talking about the results anywhere. Bad step-children to the I9000.
I'll change the thread title, and I agree I think using the Kitchen allows fresh thoughts and perspectives. Maybe someone like me will make a ROM and come up with something that no one ever would have thought of without the ROM Kitchen allowing them a chance to make their own ROM.

I made my post clearly stating that the OP had done almost everything right, and there was no reason to "beat him up". No one in this thread was or is whining or beating him up for anything, because he did give credit. lrs just warned him because he hadn't contacted and gotten permission from the owner of the Kitchen and didn't want anything bad to happen. I think that Doc is generous enough in the fact that it doesn't put a "MADE IN DOC'S KITCHEN" bootanimation.zip on every one of its ROMs that it generates, so I think it's safe to say that it'd be respectful and kind to at least ask Doc if he could publish a ROM made in his kitchen.

^ Agreed.
Also, I'd just like to point out that just because it was made in the Kitchen does not mean that I did not put a lot of effort into this ROM. Yes, it has parts taken from other ROMs, I am not denying that fact. Just try to look past all of that and focus on what open source is really about, sharing ideas and resources openly in order to improve upon what we already have.

"beaten up" was over-reaction/statement on my part. My apologies as i didn't intend to offend or specifically point a finger at you. Was still agitated by the last thread of this nature in which people were much less kind than you were.
It just seems people can't resist the urge to put their two cents in with follow ups saying "this isn't your rom" or your "using someone else's base" when the user has already stated such in their OP thread and directed credit to the proper source.
If someone creates their own base and utilizes another members theme...stating such and giving proper credit in the op wouldn't it be redundant if half the posters felt the need to point out "thats not your theme" when that fact is already in the OP.
I agree best solution is for Doc's Kitchen Base to be referenced in the thread title.
Not only is credit given, but he has done a considerable amount of research and troubleshooting figuring out what exactly can be removed. This isn't the case of somebody just spending 2 minutes putting something together with the rom kitchen and posting it as his own work.
ryude didn't even want to post this, but a couple of us asked him to because of the uniqueness of the package. Find another rom that is less than 88mb with this base... you won't find it.
Ryude,
I know how you feel about taking credit for others work and feel terrible that people have reacted in a way that implies that you have. I'm sorry that I even suggested this.
Cezar has a CWM zip that deletes what he considers bloat in the Continuum thread. Maybe look at that script and write a new one that deletes the packages and post it as a mod? The end result should be the same.
Not for nothing, that dailer is sick. Minus the video call option .
As I said originally, good luck!

I agree he did nothing wrong and in a previous instance i saw someone post a similar thread giving proper credit to the kitchen and he was actually flamed pretty badly.
My suggestion is for those who use the kitchen is to posted the Kitchen Base Credit in the thread title.
Maybe Doc can specify in the OP what he would prefer to see included in the thread title from those who repost roms created with the kitchen?

I also certainly didn't mean to emphasize that anyone had been mean, other than lingering reaction to another threads sentiment.
It can get dangerously like a a schoolchilds playground here with everyone trying to oust people from their clique. I am sure that there are a scant few parents here, but I am highly sensitized to people acting that way. I know too, as adults we tend to be defensive of the sweat we put into things. As schoolchildren or adults, we need to learn to be less defensive and more inclusive.

I've hit a bump in the road for development as of the late. I have aosp booting, but haven't had the service to clone all the update libraries/modules/etc etc. What this means is practically nothing works. Pre-alpha. Though resources should push it straight to beta.
My proposal is that a group of us work around this and make a public git. Obviously I'm stuck for lack of 3G. I need the most recent aosp source in a public git and I need a manager for it. Anyone is welcome to share their commits/enhancements.
This will never be more than optimized aosp. If you wanna make it into cm7, download cm7. Android functions best the way google made it. Wimax may work, with toastcfh's permission of course (haven't asked yet)
Hope a few of you are on bard! *pirate voice* EDIT 2

ARRR! I just want to say thanks!
Based on a couple pms I've received - I'd like to clarify something.
I WANT this to become a user optimized build, but not where you get a bloated rom right off the bat and have to trim. I do NOT have a lot of development experience, or skill - just learning as I go - but if we host the main source in one location and then a few of us modify our own trees - we can utilize lunch to build aosp within certain paramaters - geared for the end user. Write a script to auto-build every version thats linked to the central git every 3 days or so - and let users add or request want they want included for them. Possibly integrate it in a simple uncomment method for those willing to compile?
If I don't want Rom Manager, then damnit! I don't want Rom Manager! (Personally love it just stressing a point. <3 @koush)
So, does this clear anything up fellas?
I'm still confused. Can't your goal be easily accomplished by flashing CM7 and removing the apps you don't want? If you don't want ROM Manager you don't have to, you can remove it.
I understand the concept you're going for but it sounds like a big duplication of effort.

No. The point is to have a full aosp rom for anyone to build off of who doesn't want a cm7 base. I see two reasons for this.
1. There seems to be a stigment attached to roms based off of cm7.
2. Having a full aosp rom might help aspiring devs/ect. for people who want to start without the bloat/features of cm7.(I say bloat because of it's massive settings/customizability & it's integration into the frameworks).

The stigment isn't an issue for me cause I've been building cm7 AND evervolv for a while now. *both are fantastic roms, running evervolv at the moment* For me its a community helping/learning project. Anyone who's actually got time and is nice can look at commits - make suggestions, corrections. I'm tired of wanting my phone to do something and not making it happen myself.
EDIT: Hit submit on accident. Surely there are several people that want to get into android development or are trying to and aren't getting the support they need. They call it open source for a reason.

I made it to New Orleans today. Full 3G. PM me if interested and we'll start the building blocks tonight. No rush
Easiest way to be prepared. Ubuntu 10.04 or newer 64-bit. For a practice run follow preludedrews compiling guide via http://www.evervolv.com - Great piece for beginners. Or here on XDA - Building CM7 from source. Great step by step with pictures etc.
I'm gonna start downloading the latest source now. Be free around 8pm CST. Follow the irc link in my sig if interested.

I’ve been on XDA for over a year now and have enjoyed watching new ideas, applications, themes, kernels, and ROM’s come to this site with a lot of hard work from all the Dev’s out there. For that I say thank you.
Over the last week or so I found myself reading about two Devs (no names mentioned) that apparently have been banned. From what I’ve read they were banned over donations not going to the people that actually worked on the projects. I’ve tested a lot of ROM’s from these pages and I’ve donated to several Dev’s on XDA. As someone who DOES donate for the incredible amount of time and skill that these people or groups expend on these projects, I’d like to ask how the donations are distributed to the “right” people. Do groups of people (maybe Team Nocturnal as an example) get together and decide how the funds are distributed or is this something that has a scale next to it (ie. The person that designs the lock screen gets this percentage and the person that designs the display properties gets that percentage). Is it trusted to one person that can then distribute to whoever they want at whatever rate they want?
I’ve learned a great amount on this and other sites that these devs work on and (having been in the computer field for over 25 years) would like to be sure that my donations go to the folks that actually did the work. Are you all doing this through the honor system?
The idea behind have an open source OS is great for the end user and sucks for the corporations simply because anyone can try and make the OS better as opposed to a single company pulling all the strings. The only problem with this is that it instinctively creates an opportunity for people to take credit for things they haven’t done.
The other issue that I’m beginning to see is a division of this site. Some feel that these two devs didn’t do anything wrong and will halt all there work because one of them has asked them too. The other side has the attitude that XDA must govern, and punish a dev for stealing someone’s work and only adding some superficial offerings to it.
So where is this going? Can these people, that are so on their game with Android (Linux), understand that it’s better to WORK WITH SOMEONE than to be out on their own? I hope that dev’s can understand that their artists…that they should be able to accept donations, and WANT to continue working hard…and that devs also continue to be courteous, and humble when other groups pour in their own time to help that project come to life. The honor system is the better way…I hope it’s not destroyed by a few dev’s that feel like cutting in front of the line because they know they can get away with it.
My hat to the administrators. I will continue to watch the stories, ask questions, and hopefully someday, add to what you design folks are pumping out.
My two cents…
If your talking about one of the devs I think you are. He did several things wrong, first being stealing donations, secondly backpedaling on a promise; thirdly not being a man and owning up to his faults and lastly openly stealing roms and passing them of as his own work. Instead this dev went into hiding and has not responded to anyone.. But however he has made at least 1 new account on here to try and soil others.
As for the people that think he's has done nothing wrong despite all the facts being laid out in front of them; I dont know what to say for them. How can anyone follow or respect someone that did what he did? Again I have no idea. I guess that just show what kind of person they are. The people you associate yourself with shows a lot about the type of person you are and your character
As for the gossip and the truth. Yes there are always 3 sides to every story. What one person says, what the other person says and then the truth. Once again if we are talking about the same person then the whole story is out there (check my sig). Since the other person will not come out of hiding and tell his side (which he doesn't have to, as everything is there and unaltered) then that just shows its the truth. If I was accused of those things and they weren't true, I sure would try to clear my name. And if they were true I still would try to make amends.
If we are not talking about that person; disregard this.
Now back to you regularly scheduled programming...

You know if he spend half the time he does making fake accounts (2012oasis) and trolling our threads on actually apologizing for what he has done and making things right THEN we wouldn't have threads like this.....JUST my two cents!..hahahha

Hahaha. Turn tail and run. Just like him. We are working on out from updates. We have what are called lives and jobs. Yea those things get in the way.
Well anybody on a team with some one will stick up for them.
Not obsessing about the past. This individual asked or at least posted wanton more info. How is filling some one in obsessing. Actually since my thread warning people about him and his slime ball ways, I have let the issue go.

Please please please, Moderators. This thread setup is the most headache-inducing thing I've ever seen! For the sake of everyone who uses these threads, clean it up!
Our Requests:
Categorize all topics by Carrier in a separate phone section:
Verizon Galaxy SIII Phone Section:
Verizon Galaxy SIII General
Verizon Galaxy SIII Q&A
Verizon Galaxy SIII Android Development
Verizon Galaxy SIII Original Android Development
Verizon Galaxy SIII Themes & Apps
AT&T Galaxy SIII Phone Section:
etc...
Sprint Section...
T-Mobile Section...
These phones are all very different. They each need their own phone section. In the same way the International SGSIII has it's own section, each US Carrier needs it's own section. This will not only help clean up the threads, but also prevent people from making costly mistakes (for example, flashing a Sprint ROM on a Verizon SGS3) or by taking advice from a user about how to fix something (ie. T-mobile user asking how to fix an issue while an AT&T user responds with an answer which could brick any non-AT&T phone).
All of the phones for these carriers are DIFFERENT, SEPARATE PHONES!
I second the request. I have already noticed in other forums people directing others to the wrong carrier phone.

And have a Canadian sub forum as well..

Yeah, this is crazy and unusable.
That would be a ridiculously big forum. The simple solution to the different carriers is to put a [Carrier Tag] on the topic name, to prevent confusion.
To many times I have started reading something to find it doesn't apply to the Verizon version. Seperating them would be amazing
This is the biggest cluster f*** of a sub-forum I have ever seen.

I meant to create a separate section for each phone. Like for example, the HTC Incredible and HTC Desire are different phones which are under different phone sections in the main forum page. That's what I would like.
This is at least the fourth thread I've read asking for by carrier forums for the galaxy III. While I agree with the request the lack of action by the moderators to date seem to me to indicate that this forum is like Obama-care...
Love it or hate it, it's here, it's the way it is and you'd best learn to like it.

you're right. it's really ridiculous at the lack of common sense that went into making this megathread. There are just under 1000 threads under General and over 1500 threads in Q&A. Most of the threads are not even being read, let alone addressed and its so hard for people to even search and filter through all of these! All of the Mods are on everyone's tail about searching before posting, but then they don't give us a reasonable way to search! Its nearly impossible to figure out if the thread applies to your own phone or not.
I'm also on board with this. :good:
Even the themes need to be separated, since the bases being used are from different carriers if I use a theme it's more than likely I'm going to apply something that isn't meant for my device. Even if it is just an icon for the same service, like Sprint hotspot vs T-Mobile hotspot. Some features have disappeared all together like Wi-Fi calling in settings
They did have carrier specific forums, but then combined them all again. Not sure why they combined them like they are, but the separated forums were much better.

Yea the old way way much better, but that was before they even added verizon into the threads. Once they added verizon they decided to create one giant useless megathread.
I think it should be arranged just like Android Forums. Main Galaxy S3 section followed by sub sections carrier specific.
Much easier to navigate and post/read.
If the majority of the people are asking for it, why is this being ignored?
I agree. I think this is the first time there has been so many users for a particular phone and its becoming harder to find things specific to my carrier. I know this was done to the nexus phones but I think the s3 user base is off the charts to keep the forum like this. I've been seeing a lot of repeats as well cause everything gets buried and searching is becoming more cumbersome as it produces too many results. It needs to go back the way it was.
Just look at the general section. Pages 1 - 6 is all labeled todays post.
I'd like it if they'd just unpin the pre-order threads.
And if the mods think the user base is off the charts now, wait until tomorrow when it's actually released on the largest carrier in the US. We're gonna have loads of people asking about root and locked bootloaders.
I'm using Z1 as a daily driver and when I see the same bugs in every single 5.0 rom for the Z1, then it makes me wonder about few things:
Why do you release "new" roms that share the same issues?
Why don't you team-up?
Honestly guys, I see no point at all with releasing more and more 5.0 roms that have the same bugs. Not to mention that things as MIC or CAMERA are pretty important if you want to use your phone as a daily driver.
I'm not posting this to discourage you from developing, no, what you're doing is great and I don't want you to feel bad about this post. What I'm trying to do here is to encourage all of you guys:
@krabappel2548
@NanoSurfer
@davidteri91
@jerpelea
@zhangyang_haha
(sorry if you develop 5.0 for Z1 and I did not mention you here)
To work TOGETHER to get it fixed. That's how we got 4K&120FPS after all on the Z1. That's what the XDA community is all about and that's why it was created. (propably, don't quote me here)
It will be done much faster if you do this together, one of you gets one thing working, another one that thing and we'll finally be ready to use 5.0 on our phone. Maybe some people that can't code will be able to help you with finding stuff that you have overlooked.
I don't do this to get thumbs up, duh, I don't care about that at all. What I care about is to use 5.0 on my phone everyday.
Hope you understand this.
If I mentioned you above and you read this post then please, drop a post below that you would like to collaborate on this. As soon as I will see that then I'll change the topic name to:
[DEV] MIC and CAMERA in android 5.0 and send a report to move my thread to Z1 android development. Afterwards I'll clearly state that this thread is for DEVELOPMENT ONLY and it should stay that way. Any non-development post will be reported by myself to get them removed so you'd get a clear development space.
If one of the developers above would agree to my idea and would rather create his own thread like mine to take care of it by yourself, then please, feel free to PM me when you do and I'll link it here.
There is not enough Lollipop libs, binaries and sources released by Sony for making enough stable and fully working AOSP / CM ROMS. That's why! Wait until stock Sony 5.0.X firmwares / kernel sources / bins / libs are released and 5.0.X Android Open Source Project development will be taken to a another level.
MOD EDIT: Please dont quote the whole OP unncessarily

Then, tell me why some things are not fully working on the existing 5.0.X ROMS in the Original Android Development section for the Z1? Because of bad luck?

There are plenty of reasons. I'm not even looking at this code as I'm not that advanced. I can fix small bugs, but not those massive ones that could be anything. Just different developers got different devices and here on the Z1 forums, unfortunately there is not much stuff going on. The guys that got the Z1 don't have that much time to do this or just move to other sony devices as sony cycle is 6months until new flagship now.
Feel so sorry that i cannot write libs by myself. I'm just a college student. Accutually I am working on how to fix microphone. However, camera issue is really a hard job for me. I even do not know how to do that. Therefore, i have no idea but to wait for sony.

I made the AOSP rom, other people just posted a bunch of cm device tree based roms. Anyway I didn't had a lot of time last 2 weeks. But bugs should be fixable, even without Sony's 5.0 rom. Just need to have some time... Which should hopefully be next week

Different time zones is one reason.
Also, when something gets fixed all devs integrate the fix anyway.
Variety is the spice of life.

But that will take more time.
Sure, but if major stuff in your life is broken, do you still care about its variety?
Better change thread name to "[DEV]{TEMP FIX} MIC ISSUE in All Android 5.0 ROM's" ............ That's the evilest thing i can imagine

I think you expect too much from devs that are working for free in their spare time
Tbh if you want fully functional then either learn the trade and fix these things yourself or wait for official Sony rom.
Many of the devs here already collaborate, just because you don't see a public thread doesn't mean it doesn't happen

I don't expect anything from them apart from combining their skills instead of every dev working on his own on this. They are NOT working together on this or else we would already have it done. Just look at other roms for other Z family devices. Almost all of the devs are working on their own instead of working together.
I'm not saying hurry up or "when fix mic pls" therefore I have no idea what are you talking about in here. I'm just giving them the idea of combining their skills to get it done. If there wouldn't be few devs at a time working on porting 4k&120fps then you still wouldn't have it on the Z1. I'm positive that they didn't work together. It was mostly like one dev gets a fix and shares it with other, not a cooperation, but sharing. That's different.
It doesn't happen seriously just read latest posts of krabappel... He explicitly says that he's working in his rom all by himself.
I am actually in a process of getting my own stock based rom but due to the lack of free time it's not over yet and I don't think I'd switch To AOSP because there's too much proprietary stuff in stock Sony roms. Additionally I'm not really that advanced to build roms from the base. I haven't tried yet, but my coding skills aren't enough anyway.
You missed my point lol

I think that you just don't get that development of android 5.0 is done by single developers for each rom with the exception of Sony and FXP. There's NO collaboration between developers in here. They do stuff on their own and don't want to collaborate for whatever reason. Getting the entire credit for a rom? Idk... Makes no sense to me...
