superoneclick or doomlord' s root works, but need some other actions before.
There is already a thread about rooting and some other useful info for 2.3 original in developing section. No needed a new thread for that.

I was given a Galaxy Tab appears to be model P1000L. Rrunning Froyo. I think its rooted though I don't exactly know what that means. I want to know if I can follow the tutorials for updating to gingerbread or honeycomb.
Than for welcoming me to the forum. I hope I can soon start sharing and not on asking. Thanks!!

All i can suggest is to read how-to's carefully before you actually install a custom rom or theme. The how-to's will guide you step-by-step and consist requirments etc. That's how i started with custom roms or themes
here you are an specific thread for Latin American tabs p1000L & p1000N :

check your app drawer for the app superuser. if it's there your rooted if not you're not
Root
Or use the app from the market named "root Checker" to check if your tab really is rooted, You can also check what version of buxybox your are using

HI!
I tried to follow the guides here to Root my Desire Z and flash the Andromadus Audacity ROM but without success because i always have an error when making temp Root with psneuter via ADB.
Then i saw the CyanogenMood guide and make it! The downgrade and then the root.
After that i just need to put the rom in the sd card and boot the clockwork recovery to flash the ROM we want.
You can see the Cyanogen guide HERE.
I think it would be better if you posted in the general forums

i just root it with zerRush via adb.
so the cyanogenmod guide works?
I will be rooting the desire z soon, or should I use the method in the xda wiki?
Moving to General, this does not belong in Development.
I just upgrade to 2.3.5 GingerBread (B528). The problem is I cannot root my X5. I used superoneclick 2.3.3, but it stopped at step 7. I've tried many times but still face the same result. Can someone help and guide me until I solve my problem? Please..

This post has instructions for rooting B528.
