sixaxis controller touch profiles for A500 - Acer Iconia A500

Hi guys, i've started THIS THREAD in the ANDROID APP/GAMES forums for more exposure. But every game that I personally shared was tested on our beloved Acer A500! I will post/update the other thread more regularly, this thread is just to give you guys a heads up. I'm sure some of us dont really go out of the A500 forums

Works like a charm. Thanks a million.

Comics on the Adam

Hey guys, I've been following the Adam for months now and have only seen the video from Longbox for comics, I was wondering if anyone had posted a video of comics on the Adam that I haven't found yet. If not could someone post a video of it? I was hoping for something along the lines of Arkham Asylum or Ultimate Spider-man.

Sweet! Thanks a lot dude.
Btw, Did you put a bunch of videos up on YouTube under this username? I liked them a lot, they helped me decide to buy an Adam now instead of waiting months more!

Wait...those videos were you... very nice job!

yup those were all mine
Cool man! These videos are some of the best and self-explanatory I've seen so far (even if they make the wait for Adam tougher and tougher).
I just registered here so "Hello World", I'm pretty excited to finally made up my mind and join this community. I've always read a lot about xda and admired you guys!
I hope to become involved in hacking and development as i love Android (beginner developer on it), I'm a computer engineering student and I work as a Java developer.
If I' allowed to on my very first post, I'd have a request/suggest for you.
Have you tried to sideload Worms for Android?
It's out for a while now and I love it (always loved Worms since the firsts versions when I had to run it from dos).
Although, nexus one screen is way to small for it! I wonder if it can run on my yet to ship Adam and how.
I've purchased it from the Android Market, it really worth the money.
It's wonderful to see lots of apps I mean to install on Adam already working pretty good on yours. Can't wait for mine to be shipped on 14th and start developing for it.
Cheers

Let me guess? Battery life?
Are you willing to give a shot (literally) to Worms? If it runs good on a big screen you're gonna love it!
I've purchased it, not sure how to do it but maybe I can provide you the apk for testing purpose..
nice post inspiron, good to see a nice FREE app is available for comics on the android and looks great running on the Adam. I'd also like to see how well comic reader mobi, jjcomics, and MangaWhat or Mango fare on the Adam (I'll be able to find out around beginning of next month when my Adam is delivered!).

Chrash corse in development

Hello, XDA, I need a lot of help. I have a Samsung Fascinate and an Acer Iconia Tab a500 and I really want to begin developing for the tablet. If any devs could tell me good programs to use or any tips, I would greatly appreciate it.
Wow, I spelled just about every thing wrong in the title...

And I thought chrash was some new shell command like chmod and chown.
If you google how to android development or something like that, there's a decent amount of articles and videos that can be rather helpful, I went through some eclipse Java tutorials that were rather nice a while back.

Another good thing - play with and modify the Google example apps provided on their developer site.
I learned Android development in about a week while recovering from back surgery by writing "MilesTrac Free" on a laptop from bed, and it was my first Java app. I do have a very strong background in software development though.

OK need some dev love

Ok, while this has nothing to do with the iconia a500, I need some help.
I have never manually figured out how to root a device, I have always used someone elses method. My bro just handed me a vizio 8" gingerbread tab. Interesting I said. TO THE FORUMS!!!!!..... and its so new that no one has it rooted. Go figure. Apparently it was rooted via gingerbreak pre launch which I find interesting.
Anyways, can someone point me in the general direction on how to start figureing out how to get this little thing rooted. Apparently gingerbreak no longer works. Where do I start and what can I do. I really don't expect alot of dev support in the wake of the HP Touchpad and better tablets out there but non the less this will still be fun and exciting.
So, if anyone has advice or can help, please post here or pm me.
Appreciate it guys
Edy

Netflix now native for HC 3.x devices!

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2394975,00.asp
Finally!... now to figure out how to get the camcorder to not FC
I was coming to XDA because I was tired of waiting for an official Netflix app for my Acer Iconia. I decided to root it, but found this, so now I don't need to. Thanks for sharing!
now to get the Native app to work on a my hacked A500 it seems to stall out after logging in.
Worked fine on my a500 (Taboonay 2.2), just removed the patched one, installed this one from market, and works fine. Watched about 10-15 minutes of a show last night to test it out.
This is in the wrong forum...
Since Netflix was a big issue for a lot of folks and quite a few developers created fixes and hacks for Netflix, I thought it appropriate to place this on the developers' forum to notify these folks that a native version had been released. News that developers can stop their efforts on this and concentrate on other issues seemed to justify my choice of placing on the development forum.

Live T.V on Motorola xoom Using Tiamat Rom

hey I was just wondering if there are any dev out there that are willing to give T.V a shot for the Motorola xoom for Tiamat Rom.
I've recently just got rid of my Archos 101, while I had it, I use to be able to run Live T.V with Channels on it!! That thing was great.. but it had its bad sides, like a ****ty touch screen and cheap feeling hardware.
But I was able to use the Live T.V because of the drivers and kernel that was in my OS. "URUKDROID" if someone could possibly do the same things to the Tiamat rom,, that would be fu--ing sweeeetttttttttttttttt... in the link I've provided the details on how it was done with the archos 101. Please, Please, Please check it out, I really want to piss my wife off. "SHE HAS AN IPAD" !!
Thanks in advance !!
P.S please don't kick me from the thread for possibly posting in the wrong location!!
