U8800 Warranty Help - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

My U8800 has died and would like to get it repaired under warranty (totally dead does not switch on)
I am looking on: http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide (stupidly sloooow)
But can't see any instructions?
The company I purchased the phone from no longer exists so that's a no go.
Anyone know any contact details for them? or know the warranty repairs process?
I am based in the UK.

Use google: huaweidevice facebook and try to contact them.
Sent from my u8800

Have done the following so far:
- Left message on their facebook wall
- Sent an email to mobile(at)huawei.com
- Registered my device on huaweidevice.com
Just waiting for some sort of reply now.
They need a dedicated warranty page really as doing the above is time consuming and un-necessary.

I think its easy. What mobile companies in Uk sells Huawei devices, or better this specific model?
You can contact the nearest official agent and ask them about how to get in touch with Huawei support from uk

According to the Huawei site there are no UK Service Centres

So where are the Huawei service centres in Europe? And the phone companies selling Huawei you're they repair their clients devices. What is the procedure?
Because no matter the company you acquire your device from, the warranty is from the brands of the device and according to the laws of each country.
So, the shop you bought from closed, but you have a purchase invoice and that is valid to ask for assistance to the brand of the respective device.

So what is the "big" favour?
I need scanned global warranty paper.
what???
HTC says it's covered for a year globally but not in Italy?
I lost the warranty paper when moving from one appartment to another.
And now when i contact htc support they told me that phone is in warranty but they cannot help me by providing some paper that i can show to our service technisons. So i need one scanned as they told me this way will be ok.
It a shame that they do not have any kind of global data base from where they can see if the phone is in warranty or not.
Like the htc support centre can see that phone is in warranty but the service isn't happy with that.
So if anyone know anyone that have italian global warranty. I need scanned form of warranty. I belive this form is in every box supplied with hd2.
I have defected touch screen(it stopped working). Yesterday I manege to fix it by pulling out the red power button lightley. It starded working but this isn't solution on long terms. The service for replacing screen is 180 eur.
So I turnet to you XDA people to help me out as you did so many times before.
Tnx for any replay

USA Warranty

If I buy the international GT-P6800, will Samsung USA cover the warranty?
Just bought this:
http://www.integrontech.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-7-7-P6800-3G-Unlocked-Silver-p/sam-p6800-16gb-s.htm
It's on it's way here... but with all the screen issues everyone seems to be having, I def don't want this thing with no warranty.
I didn't even think about that when I bought it... now i'm considering just returning it before opening it up... don't want to get screwed down the road without a warranty.
I had a bad experience with this.. long story short they didnt...
Sent from another Galaxy...

The more I read, the more it seems they won't honor their warranty in the US.
I could always Squaretrade it... but I wary of the support I would actually receive.
I contacted USA Samsung about warranty. I didn't really get the answer I wanted but they did do a little better than no warranty at all.
Could probably just use a forwarding service. I wonder if I prepaid envelope sent to their UK facilities would work?
Samsung's response:
Dear Casey,
Thank you for contacting Samsung.
Unfortunately, as the product was purchased in the uk, the warranty is only valid at uk service centres.
However, if you had a friend within the UK, who could deliver and collect your product, then deliver it back to you, we would be happy to fix or service the product where necessary.
Hope this helps.
If you require any further assistance, please contact Samsung again and we will be more than happy to help.
Kind regards,
Chris

USA warranty coverage on the D6603 purchased from the UK

There seems to have been some confusion on warranty coverage in the USA of Z3 D6603's purchased from UK retailers such as Clove, Handtec, etc. Some have stated that the phones need to be shipped back to the UK for warranty assessment and repairs. According to an online chat I had with Sony Mobile USA support, the D6603 from the UK is indeed covered in the USA under warranty but the repairs would take longer to conduct due to sourcing the parts overseas.
Here is the complete transcript of the chat:

Please wait while we find an agent to assist you...
You have now been connected to an agent.
Agent Alan: Hi, thanks for choosing Sony Xperia™ Chat Support. My name is Alan your Xperia™ Support Representative. Would you please provide me with your full name and email address?
Paul: edited
Agent Alan: Thank you. What is the model of your device and your service provider?
Paul: I just have a generic question. Is the Sony Manufacturer's Warranty of an Xperia Z3 D6603 that's imported into the USA honored in the USA?
Agent Alan: Thank you very much, so you'd like to know if you purchase the Xperia Z3 in UK, if this one will support the warranty in USA.
Agent Alan: Is that correct?
Agent Alan: Are you still there?
Agent Alan: I haven't received a response from you in a couple of minutes. Please let me know you are still connected or I will need to disconnect our chat in another minute.
Paul: Yes. That's correct. Sorry for the delay.
Agent Alan: I'll be glad to assist you.
Paul: Another way of asking is if the phone purchased in the UK is covered under warranty in the USA.
Agent Alan: The warranty will be valid in USA, however the phone will be considered an international phone. This means that if you need to send it for repair it will take longer than the estimated 14 business days.
Agent Alan: Have I answered all of your questions today or is there anything else I can help you with?
Paul: Thanks for the answer. How long then, on average, does warranty repair take in the USA on an international phone?
Agent Alan: There is not estimate time.
Paul: Why does it take longer?
Agent Alan: Because the internal parts are different and they need to order the parts overseas.
Paul: Understood. That answers my questions. Thank you.
Agent Alan: You are welcome.
Agent Alan: Thank you for choosing Sony Xperia™. I’m happy I could help. Have a great day! I would assume this would apply to other unlocked "international" Sony phones purchased in the UK. We could also assume that if the D6603 was released in the USA, the repairs would take less time due to having parts nearby.
good to know. So i can walk into a sony store and get it repaired?
Thanks for sharing this information!

RMA not replying in Europe?

Hello. i've created this thread to create a small guide to help everyone in need to making a complain about the company OnePlus which have a client support where it ignores people which request RMA service.
Basicly inside European regulation, we have the right to have RMA support during the next 2 years.
When you shop online, you have the same rights as when you buy in a shop:
if you buy goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, you may be entitled to have them repaired, replaced, refunded or reduced in price - depending on the circumstances.
any information about goods or services should be accurate and not misleading. If you have been given false or misleading information, you may be entitled to a refund.
Check the terms and conditions and the returns policy of the seller's website. Contact them to explain the problem and ask for a solution. If you don't get a satisfactory response and the seller is based in the EU, you can contact the European consumer centre in your home country.
Online rights: http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/shopping/buy-sell-online/index_en.htm
FAQ of european regulation : http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/shopping/online-shopping/faq/index_en.htm#c0801262483b66f37

Hope this is helpfull for anyone in need.

warranty registration

while i have cover through insurance and with the network provider of the device , i always like to register my device with the manufacture so all bases are covered, any one in the UK managed to do this so far .I can find it on the huawei site
Anyone help on this
If you bought it via play store u should have warranty readily validated, depending on your local law regarding warranty... It is exactly like that in Australia when buying from play store. I have never had to register anything to receive my stated warranty
No it came via a carrier EE in the UK ,in their T&C its has warrenty, but I like to register my devices with manufacture
