Hi
I succeeded in booting Ubuntu on my HTC HD2 using MAGLDR.
Unfortunately there is an icon with a screen and a lock on it displayed. The touchscreen seems not to work. Does anyone has an idea how to fix that?
@Administrator: Pls move to HD2 Ubuntu / General Discussion .. got it in the wrong area

Has anyone got a version that works on the Touch-Dual, i have tried the Polaris version but it crashes while booting, i posted the following in a different forum and was basically told to ask again here.
Anyone got any idea how to get this (Android) working on the HTC Touch Dual (Niki)? I downloaded the latest Polaris package and put all of the files on the root of my memory card. I closed ActiveSync and disconnected from the computer then without editing any of the files i run Haret, this boots into Linux but sticks on the line
[ 1.510565] Polaris kbd open_
I have had a very old version running but its really is probably the first image that was released and its pretty useless, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

hello everyone! i have read some topics of the forum and i really liked it!
well here is my problem!
I just bought an HTC Touch 3g mobile phone... and i downloaded a program named "LEng" in order to translate windows into greek! When the program asked me to restart device i clicked "yes".
From then the device "stucks" on the windows loading screen and never goes on!!
Well my question is:
Is there any way to format the device and reinstall windows? or should i do something else?
thanks in advance!
You should do a hard reset, don't have a HTC device myself but found this page which seems to help you with it http://www.flickr.com/photos/ryjones/2193904710/
to follow those steps the device should be activated.. Mine cant load windows
btw thx for posting
The guide says only "power on", it doesn't require you to load Windows. I understood your device does power on, it just can't boot Windows.
Hi guys,
I'am new to this forum.
a week a go i bought this hd2, know i'am trying to run android.
I have follow this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881958 and followd the steps!
when i run clrcad and then haret this happends:
Small pop up window with grey progress bar appears with message HaRET LINUX BOOTING - You should then see some text lines in the top left corner of the screen and then a Splashscreen (blank screen with a HTC logo)
AFTER THE BLANK SCREEN WITH A HTC LOGO WINDOWS STARTS AGAIN!
what i'am doing whrong?
please help i wont android
Make sure that the folder on the root of sd is called "Android" and contains all the necessary file to boot initrd, zimage, system.ext2, rootfs.img etc
so i installed the latest version of phoenix os
on atom Z3735G windows tablet with MSSL1680 touch drive
and everything work great
except
that the touch screen is inverted ( Example : i touch the top left , the screen recorded the touch at the bottom right )
so i searched for the problem and i find out that the people with the same problem
mange to fix it
by replacing the "silead_ts.fw" by their "silead_ts.fw" specific to their own device ported from the windows " SileadTouch.fw"
but i don't know how to do that ?
can i just use the SileadTouch.fw and rename it and it will work ?
and if i have to port it in specific way , can someone do this for me please ?
i attached to my post my windows touch drivers along with SileadTouch.fw
