Are the apps on an ext partition or directed to the SD card using Android settings (thus as an asec file).

Thanks!
applications now do not open at the time had passed through android, putting "move to sd card"
I Had RC4, Then I install the ROM RC5 for recovery and the installation was perfect.
The problem now is when i That Turned the phone: When Trying to Open Applications HAD Passed Before the SD card, now tell me, "the application is not installed on the phone."
I do not know what to do! Please could you help me? I thank you a lot, I'm desperate.
MANY THANKS!

my RC5 was working perfectly fine up to now when gtalk just blocked and my phone screen went off. couldn't even turn it off without moving the battery away.
turned it back and now it won't change to landscape (in no single application).
beside that, very good rom.
edit: and just noticed another interesting issue. there's no single way to recharge it while it's turned off. it will switch on every time.

leo ce log tool - problem solved

After emailing back and forth with the HTC support team about the Leo's "too loud ear piece" and after asking me a million questions they finally sent me the Debug tool 3.4 to run it in my Leo and send them the logfile.
Well the stupid application it's been running for 20 hours and never seems to stop. It did create some 20 DM files on my SD card which can't be seen in explorer anymore. I put it into a card reader to see what;s happening.
I hard reseted my Leo to stop the debugging tool but no use, I reflashed but nu use the darn thing still runs and kills my battery! WIFI doesn't work either!!!
What should I do?

If a hard reset doesn't do it I assume the tool is on your SD card? Delete it & try another hard reset...

Take out the memory card and hard reset the device. That should at least stop it running.
Then, copy everything you want off your memory card and reformat it.

How about calling HTC again? They send you the app, so I guess they'll know how to get rid of it again.

check this out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12060926&postcount=35

Apparently my card isn't recognised by the formatting program :s
hmmm then it might be card fault...
replace it if u have other one,if not keep trying to format it like i stated in instructions
Looks like I may have to accept it isn't going to work , using the new pack once I have the same issue.
"The aplication settings has stopped working un expectedly. Please try again."

Forgive me for being thick but I assume I do this once Android.has booted up? If so how do I access task manager in Android, all I can do is access recently used apps by pressing dial button.
as far as I know, sandisk card is bad support by android on mini.try to get another sd card to test.Good luck!

card compatibility was not a problem with droid..it was the card formatting prob...alot of other users had the same problem with android not picking up their card including myself...it was corrected by tzacapaca who provided me card format software..with that compatibility issue was resolved.

See you Soon Guys
Hey all, thanks so much for developing this. It is amazing... I have successfully installed Android and has been running it for several times now. Everything is great. I can download and use all the Apps with no problem.
However just few days ago, I am starting to get an error when I boot Android from WinMo. The pop-up error reads, "Sorry! The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
After clicking on a button which says "Force Close" on the pop-up, the error appears again and again - and it's never ending. However I can still see Android loading and updating at the back. Just that this error keeps coming up repeatedly, and I have no choice but to off my phone and have it run only on WinMo.
I appreciate on any advice that you may have so that I can run Android again. Thanks in advance!

Do you mean trying without the sim card option?
- Since I am not running android for the first time, I did not remove the sim card when I did a re-boot on Android.
Or clearing all contacts information?
- Cos i have my contacts on my sim card. So i did not do any synchronization and importing of my contacts from Gmail.
Did I miss anything out? Or am I doing anything wrong?
Once again, thanks so much for your help and guidance..

I meant clearing contacts yeah,sorry
seems it worked for others
I would sugest an sd card format and Android re-install,there might be an sd card error which persists..
did you also try http://tinyurl.com/3zanh95 ?
p.s. when you set up phone for 1st time did you put your tweeter login in HTC wizard form?

Thanks so much for the advice.. but I pretty much guessed that it was best to do a SD card reformat and Android re-installation..
I was just hoping that there was a better way than to do that..
I must have done "some thing wrong" while running on Android which caused that error..
But yeah, thanks anyway! Appreciate it loads..
uhhhh.. i don't tweet.. so i am quite sure that would be a "No"...
besides, i have been running Android for very many times before this..
Until one day, i boot Android from WinMo like how I always do.. I WASN'T trying to do anything else.. just a Boot..
And the error appeared, and it just keeps on coming endlessly.. with Android running in the background..

[Q] HELP please!!!

Hy first sory about my english, second I have a problem with my hd2,in general it works fine, but some times aps force close by them self galery, market it's not a big problem until the phone app force closes and I have to restart the phone. I tried difrent roms and allways the same problem,a tried task 29. It's not a big problem, but I am couriose is it my phone or somethinge else. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
Firstly please do not use stupid titles like "HELP please!!!", Topic titles are supposed to describe your topic so that people browsing the forum can see subject matter at a glance rather then a load of n00bs shouting "help". Please use some common sense and next time describe your topic, for example this topic should have been titled something like "Apps keep force closing on various roms" etc.
Second,
Which different roms have your tried?
What apps are you installing?
Have you tried different sd-card?
Sorry abouth the title,I used NexsuHD(2.3)2.9,3.0,3.1,Miui.us 1.9...I instal regular apps from the market,I tried blackmart but it closes by it self every time. When I got the phone,I flashed NexusHD 2.9 and I think that I didnt have this problem, then I tried 3.0 and it started,I went back to 2.9 but it didnt help. I am using MIUI now it's ok but I have the same problem. I formated the sd,but I didnt try other sd,could that be the problem because my sd is not top of the line thanks, and again sorry about the title.

sd card matters in android. you can use sandisk. or try transcend. if you have enough time you can format your sd with panasonic sd formatter in each rom change.

[Q] SD card or SD card reader not working

Hi
I have a Huawei u8800 with a rooted stock ROM(thats what its called when its the ROM that came with the phone right?) 2.2.1. It seems that sometimes it doesn't find the apps from my sdcard, the apps i have as shortcuts only show as green and white things and when i try clicking on them it says i should restart my skin(GoLauncher EX). But it seems like its only the apps the phone doesnt find not the sd card itself. I can see how much space it is on the card in the settings and how much that is free, and it also remembers what skin i use on my beautiful widget's home widget. This only happens most of the times tho. Sometimes after ive rebooted it suddenly all is fine. I've tryed to put my sd card into another phone and that worked perfectly and i tryed to put another sd card into my phone and that worked fine to. So i have no idea where the problem is. The times it doesnt find the sd card i cant choose to use mass-storage when i plug it in my computer either. I't can find the sd card tho if i boot into recovery(i have CWN 5 installed) and choose mount USB storage and plug it to the computer with USB i suddenly find the sd card on the computer but when i reboot it again it doesnt work. So i have no idea it its the SD card that doesnt work, the SD card reader or if its a software problem.... I also have randow reboots. As you see im totally lost
Any help would be appreceated!
Hi theminikiller,
This is a note bug of Huawei U8800 / U8800 Pro.
Sometimes the external sdcard is not correctly mounted at the bootstrap and if you have installed application on your external sdcard, you cannot open them.
In my case I have installed Sygic GPS Navigation and maps are stored on the external sdcard. Sometimes it happens that my U8800Pro doesn't mount the sdcard and Sygic, of course, asks me to download again maps.
This bug is not fixed and the only workaround is to reboot Android.
The simple action that you reboot in recovery is always a "reboot".
So if you meet again the bug, it's not a must to enter into recovery mode but you can simply reboot.
I don't know if Froyo has a reboot entry in the power menu (holding the power button), but you can download and install an interesting apk named AN Reboot.
With this application (very light and fast) you can reboot in a short time.
Anyway, since you have this bug, please have a look here at my discussion where there is a poll: please vote!

Thank you for the reply!
It didnt help rebooting for me, does it help every time i reboot or do i have to try a few times? This is probobly a stupid question but what is apk? xD i tryed googling AN Reboot but didnt find anything so if you could give me a link that would be usefull.
I dont know if it is any connection between it but this happened to me the same day as i upgraded the google marked to google play.
Have you tryed to factory reset the phone? If not im thinking about trying that. I was thinking about sending the phone to the shop where i bought it to see if they could fix it. Or isnt this a fixable problem? Well if they cant fix it ill get a new phone so its a win win situation for me

An apk file is an application, usually downlodable from Google Market.
AN Reboot is still on Google Maket, but I can provide a link for you, here:
Hmm didnt find it on the market, well doesnt matter when i got the download from you xD so i just copy that into my phone memory to install it?
