I have a Canon DSLR which is why I desperately want Chainfire's DSLR Controller app. But the description says it only works on devices with USB Host support, which the Droid X lacks. I know it's been done on the OG Droid, so can it be done on the X? And if it can, then would the app then work, or would I still need a dual-core phone? Any responses are helpful, thanks.

I am in the same boat. Would love to hear from anyone who has DSLR Controller on a DroidX working. No custom drivers?

Hi guys, I currently have a Droid X which I like very much specifically the DLNA and Xbox 360 sharing features, both of which allow me to wirelessly access my music, photos, and videos from my phone and computer on my Xbox Does the Xoom have this feature or at least does Gingerbread 3.x support it/plan on supporting it?
Also I read in one of the reviews that the miniHDMI out doesn't work directly from the device, rather it needs the dock and then from the dock you go miniHDMI to HDMI on the TV, is this true? (That wouldn't make much sense to me...)
All in all, I have to say I'm excited to be a consumer now-a-days, I'm leaning towards the Xoom, but I do miss certain apps from my Ipad of which there are no GOOD substitutes on android. Specifically, AirVideo which worked like a charm both over wi-fi and 3G and GoodReader, both of which I used religiously. I also hope that Netflix will have an android app soon. Besides that though, I must say if I don't get the xoom, I'm excited to finally start customizing the looks and basic UI, like I have with LP and Desktop Widgets on my Droid X.
Currently the xoom doesn't support dlna. Possibly in the future?
The HD dock is not needed to use HDMI out. Just hook up any micro HDMI cable and it works fine.

Edit: I was wrong. I found an app that works! I'm using 2Player. Give that a try.
Yes it has DLNA ... look for Skifta in the market ... and if you run into any issues use their tech support like i did in this thread http://forums.skifta.com/topic/tablet-support?replies=12#post-1164

Hey guys, I was wondering if the Zeemote works with Atrix 4G.
http://www.zeemote.com/
Can anyone confirm?
No mention of Motorola on their site.... so i don't see why it would. Then again, i don't really see why anyone would want that for their phone.
For emu gaming it would be pretty usefull, specially considering multitouch is restricted to two fingers on the Atrix.
I've seen a N1 working with the zeemote, and there are some generic IME drivers out there. I was just wondering if those drivers would make it work with the Atrix.
don't bother
Hi guys I'm working on setting up a full n64, roms, and wiimote app package for xda, don't bother with ziimote, buy a 15 dollar knockoff wiimote and then get the wiimote controller app fo free. Im putting all these together in a package fr xda users, should be done before tomorrow
The motorola Milestone 2 just got up to six multi touch points thanks to a magic .ko file.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167665
My question, has it already been ported to the Droid 2? (a device virtually identical with regards to hardware.) I would be spoiled to have even three touch points but six would blow my mind. My biggest reason, I love console emulators and I can get by some control complexities by mapping buttons to my physical keyboard but I can only get so far with the laughable 2 multi touch points that Motorola has given to this device.
I have tried all the steps to the thread in the link hoping that the A955 and A953 are similar enough for that .ko file to work. The terminal emulator told me it could not open the mod. Please help.
Ill try this out tomorrow.

Hi everyOne
Here in italy is pretty difficult to obtain an official Vehicle mount dock or desktop dock for our beloved RAZR M.
I know that somebody finds that Droid 3 Docks and Bionic Docks could be suitable also for Razr M phones.
So this is my question.
Can somebody verify if the USB port in Moto Droid 4 is in the same (or very similar) position compared to our M?
Thank you very much and sorry for my bad english.

Is it possible to repurpose our beloved Xoom into a smart display? It would be nice if we can port the nest hub OS (Is it Android things?) into the Xoom and prop it up.
Is it possible? Are there any rom wizards out there willing to give this a shot?
That is a great idea! I hope somebody has the notion to do such a thing.
