btw i didnt have any aligment issues before like other people have exerienced. thanks for any help you can provide
SOLVED
i found the answer. Remote Screen Alignment software its a wonderful tool and its free. google it to find the program and if you are having issues with your screen aligment i think its worth the try.
I have read many treads about non functional touchscreens on the HD2. Most common problem is that the touchscreen suddenly not responds. Some times it works some times it doesn't. This same occurred with my HD2 phone last week.
I have tried several things like hard/soft reset. Original ROM via SD boot etc. Non of these things solved my problem. What's not clear to me in the treads I have read is if replacement of the screen + digitizer is the solution of this issue (non responding screen). Or is it an other hardware problem and the phone is/gets useless.
Can anyone advise me if touchscreen + digitizer is the solution?
Thanks for your comments in advance!
yes that is Exactly the solution
So I can conclude it is no hardware problem (other then touchscreen + digitizer).
afraid so...
but i remember alot of people were having problems with their screen when running android via sd in the earlier days. and when magdlr came out, poof, some people who had digitizer issues had there screens working again. lol.
Hey everyone,
I have an LG G2 D802T model, and the touchscreen is malfunctioning after the Lollipop update. I've updated it from LGFlashTool, a KDZ for these models and variants but I've mistakenly selected Europe and Turkish language from the options window that appeared during the flashing progress. I've read at some forums that it should've been South Korea and Korean as the option showed at that window.
The identical issues are :
-When I want to touch the middle of the screen for example, the screen gets and shows it as I'm pressing to bottom of the screen or left side or right side, it just vary.
-Can't get into any section because the screen does not read my fingerprints properly.
-Can't use the phone at all.
So I wonder if that wrong flashing could've caused the problem? I've also had a Samsung brand USB cable and had the process with it (not original LG cable because I did not have it). I've read that wrong cables may cause this problem too, but I've tried to rub the screen with a soft cloth and did not work.
This happened after trying to fix the GPS lock issues by opening the back case, and putting some little papers under some kind of plugs as can be seen on youtube video, but after some restarts everything about touchscreen was fine! Just the GPS was not working properly.
So I've decided to try the Lollipop, maybe it could have a fix for the GPS issues and after flashing the ROM (stock), the screen is kinda dead.
Any helps or ideas will be greatly appreciated!
P.S : I can get into download mode, phone is booting so do I still have a chance?
Thanks in advance.
I bought the Tegra note 7 (XOLO India) yesterday and as soon as I switched it on I got the OTA update notification and updated it successfully to Android 5.1. From the time I booted into the new version I have been plagued by touchscreen issues, the tablet responds to touch for a while and then would stop responding but will respond to stylus and switching off the screen and switching it back on would make touch responsive for a few seconds and then again it becomes irresponsive and occasionally it doesn't respond to stylus as well, did a factory reset, rebooted it number of times and finally came across this forum.
Is this a faulty device or is there any hope for me, I bought this tablet to buy games and I can't play any of them as suddenly the touchscreen would go crazy and my character would die :crying:
As another user posted that it happens in his/her device with the flip cover, I don't have the flip cover at all.
Would rooting help, I was thinking of rooting the device and downgrading it, as there was a fix for touchscreen error posted for Android 4.4.2 but after I read that rooting voids warranty I decided to check with you guys before I did anything crazy.
Thank you in advance,
Solved?
To anyone who is facing the same problem and those who are interested, I followed the suggestions from this thread and calibrated my battery and the issue seemed to have completely gone. I put the tablet for charging once it was nearing 10% overnight and the next day unplugged it and started using it and the full ady even after heavy usage the problem never showed up, the screen is 100% touch responsive and the entire experience was 'buttery' smooth. There's one more thing that I did, I installed activitylauncher and set max performance in Nvcontrolpanel.
my gf has a s7 edge international that has some weird touch issues as mentioned in the title. i can provide a youtube clip showing the issue but im not allowed to post links yet.
is this a known problem with this specific phone or has anyone been able to fix this?
edit: no screen protector on the phone.
thanks

Would the phone protector be touching the screen and making the ghost touch?
Do you have enabled the "keep screen turned off" (prevent to touch accidentally while device is in a dark place or pocket or bag? Settings / Display / Keep screen turned off
Previous models had a glove sensitive touch option. With S7 with Nougat is now enabled by default. This means you can close your finger and not touch it but the display would detect your finger and create the action where your finger was pointing into.
I'm not that techy but providing assistance to get to root cause
still running 6.0.1, tried keep screen turned off enabled and disabled and tried w/o case. problems still
