How to AutoBoot Android without Bootloader...
IMPORTANT: IF YOU DO THIS PROCEDURE TO COME BACK TO WINDOWS YOU HAVE TO REMOVE SD BEFORE BOOT
HOW TO...
1. Go to SD, copy HARET.
2. Navigate to Windows\Autorun and Paste Haret as a Link.
3. Now go to Setting Page, Menù in the right bottom, All Setting -> Home.
4. Now Go to Elements Page -> UNCHECK HTC Sense. To Improve a bit the speed of boot. (OPTIONAL)
Now you Can Reboot your devices and wait about 40-60 sec. to Use Android.
SO IF YOU WANT TO SPENT ABOUT 5 MINUTES OF YOUR TIME DO IT..TO USE WINDOWS AGAIN YOU HAVE TO REMOVE SD BEFORE BOOT.
I DO THIS BECAUSE I DON'T USE WINDOWS
i'm sorry for translation but i don't know a good English now...
What do you Think About IT?Accept critiques...
Great idea!
But let me ask, how do you charge your deviсe, if you don`t use windows at all?
or remove sd card for booting on winmo

I made very small application (using Mort script )for booting Android od WinMo, just copy this to Your SD card and make a shortcut to Android loader in Windows\Start Up folder.
After new restart, You will be asked if You want stay in WinMo or If You wont load Android. You Can Choose Default item in Settings menu and delay for "autostart".
I saw similiar application from another guy, but this is very easy to use and don't need to install anything, just only copy.
HTCxxxx has a good idea to disable HTC sense auto start for faster start , thx
If You want to try this app, You can Download at:
oups, system says that as a "rookie" user I can not insert links
so, link is in signature. I hope, I won't be banned, but this is not spam
Enjoy!
but no signature is displayed....
I tried to upload file to this forum, may be will work this...
I didn´t test it, but thanks for your contribution!

Hey guys,
Could someone point me in the direction of a good batch installer.
I've reflashed my phone and i don't want to spend 10 days reinstalling everything.
I tried using SDConfig.txt but it won't start.
I know there were some threads talking about this...but hey...the search feature didn't help.
Thanks
A very good question, I'd like to see what else beside SDconfig can be used. It's been rendered useless on Itje's newer ROMs.
see post#2 of the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=509891
look for:
4- CAB batch installer by helloworld1: neat, small, smart app to automatically install all of your apps after a flash or hard reset
I did see that link since luck would have it ... I reflashed with that exact same rom
The reason why I didn't want to use that tools is
"Problems:
1. The small utility can not silently install cab files. "
For a batch installer I think that is A MAIN REQUIREMENT...
I have almost 40 cabs...using a "batch installer" thats waiting for each one to prompt me a confirmation is ludicrous...
Any other ideas?

I agree, it's important to have silent installation.
However, that would mean an override would need to be done so that each confirmation selection would install it to either the device or the storage memory.

Something like the SDConfig mechanism would be just fine.
Plus I rarely keep stuff on my SD Card anyway (besides Tom Tom that is...and even that doesn't need to be reinstalled - you can just copy a link to the start menu and you're done)
And what about Sashimi autoinstaller? Personally haven't use it. But I saw a post in BlueAngel's XDA forum wrote by red-hanks. It installs CAB, .REG., and .XML files.
Maybe this would be helpfull.
I think SKTools should be able to do it. Read the manual (http://s-k-tools.com/sktoolsm.pdf) on page 37. There you will find the command- line parameters for silent installation.
I recommend Sashimi Auto Installer. It does what you guys want.
You put all the cabs you want to install in the CAB Folder and then start the autoinstaller. It will go 1 by 1 and install. After it's all finished, it will ask you if you want to restart the phone. It will silently install the cabs (but still shows what it's installing currently), it just won't ask you anything until the end. This goes with registry edits as well and other files.

Sounds good. What does it do with CABs that require user input to finish installation? (For instance G-alarm, FingerKB etc.)
Thanks guys...this is exactly what I needed!

u can stick those ones in a "Manual" install mode in Sashimi. give it a go - looks confusing but it's incredibly flexible / powerful.
With the FingerKB, it would just popup the settings and wait for you to finish.. it will only continue once you have saved the settings.
I can't seem to find Sashimi Auto Installer - the top search result points to a thread with the first posts blank ("..........................") by a user that appears to have been banned?
Here it is

Try
\Program Files\[<Your program's Developer>\]<Your Program Name>
(Start-> File Explorer -> Up (lower left corner)->Up->Up->Up->. . . .->Up->Program Files . . .)
Also if you still cant find it, hook it up to your pc, and then use the windows (if you have windows) built in search, and then search for the file name and then you'll know where it is in the future
sorry people, i was not precise..

Some of the shortcuts in the start menu are actually folders (Multimedia, for example.)
Have you looked in them for the apps you installed? Also, some apps don't have shortcuts in the programs folder. TouchResponse, for example, just runs all the time. There's a shortcut in settings, but nothing in the start menu root.
You probably just need to hunt round. If you could tell us for sure what you're missing then someone on here will definitely have installed it previously and be able to help you.
ok, sorry...
i have installed program Called power monitor. it monitors power consuption of each task/progrm running.
searcb for it on thiz forum, and try to insta.
lof course, I have well known battery life problem... and finding my way to get max from my hd 2.
priciate all tips & answers.
is there an easy way to do this?
ive istalled xdandroid, but the screen isnt visible?
is this in the wrong place? ive managed to find this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5602064&postcount=1195
am i right in saying, as long as i run from sd card it wont flash over windows?
ive since managed to get 1.5 working but not sure i dare install this as i dont want to ruin the tytn ii?!
Don't worry, running Android under haret does not touch your windows install.
ok thanks.. sorry about all the questions, but to get this polymod 2.1g running i need to do the following:
get the base files
whack them in a folder called andboot on sd card
paste androidinstall.tgz in there
change default.txt to point to zimage-eclair
run haret
when promted hold dpad
this gives me that same as the fat32 picture on here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5602064&postcount=1195
(this is as far as i dared go)
pick 1.install system ?
then select yes wipe system?
and thats it? i dont have to point it to androidinstall.tgz anywhere?
and just to confirm it will only give me the options to install over windows if i run from the internal memory?
sorry again for the q's, just want to be certain i do it right and dont muck it up...
also what is not fully working in this release?
and thanks for your response also...
sorry to keep posting on here, does the above sound correct?

first check the SD builds forum - easier as no flashing required, then pick one (e.g. ACA my personal favorite), read the installation instructions (usually just create Android folder on your SD card, then copy the build there), then run using any file manager clrcad.exe and haret.exe which are the android folder, wait for 10-30 minutes until 1st boot is finished, and done

links are marked by brownish font by default, check my previous post,
as for SPL, HSPL etc., you don't need to bother as long as you run Android from SD, that's the beauty of SD builds, enjoy full functionality of android, without the hassle and risk of bricking your device
some general FAQs here and here, but if you want to start fast, you can read those later, installing an SD build is safe

That SPL and radio version are fine, just download the ROM, extract it, click on CLRCD, then HARET, then you're running Android.
And ACA is by far the best ROM you're going to find

first boot can take up to 20-30 minutes, as the data file (default = 2GB) is created, if nothing happens after that time, remove the battery (fastest way of resetting the device) and try again

what's more to know for the start?
- no need to reinstall from now on, it's just that for now your device will always restart to WinMo, however: find yourself so called "android loader" to automate android loading, there's few of those to choose from, e.g. Android Loader v6.0
- connect android with your google account so your contacts and emails are synced (Settings / Accounts etc...)
- install Battery Monitor Widget, so you always know how much mA your device uses and how much battery is left,
- also search xda for tips on conserving battery power (e.g. disable 3G if not needed, switch off GPS, tweak backlight autobrightness in CM Settings etc.)
- be aware that for now the USB file transfer does not work, to copy files to your HD2 use WinMo or Card Reader or File Expert
- backup often: 1. invest in Titanium Backup, 2. from time to time copy data.img to your PC
- browse through the ACA FAQ and thread (I know it may be hard to read all 14995 messages at once)

All apps are installed on your card, the whole idea of an SD build is that WinMo still sits in ROM, while Android basically consists of two files (sitting in the SD\Android folder) which are mounted at the start: system.ext2 (all system files and apps) and data.img (all user apps and settings). From user point of view you won't notice the difference. Additionally, once you run out of space in your data.img, you can always resize it, there are tools for that, but lets put it aside for now

all links are in my previous post, click on the brown text "Android Loader v6.0" to open,
installation is standard for WinMo: while in Windows Mobile, copy the .cab file to your SD Card and run from within any file manager, then it will guide you, also when in doubt search its thread for more info
i have downloaded it there is no cab file when i extract it from the zip folder.

do i have to be in winmo for this
Hi all, can anyone help me. How do i put android on htc hd2 without removing windows and are you able to dual boot them or isent this possable
also can you get jelly bean ?
thanks
Please search before posting, there are many guides on how to do this.
Simply, you have to download a rom from the SD development section, put it on the root of your sdcard, go into winmo file manager and tap on clrcad and then haret.
You can also use NativeSD, but you have to look for that yourself.
You must have a compatible radio, and yes, you can have Jellybean. I don't know what you mean by "dualboot", isn't it the same as "run android without removing windows mobile" ?

Once again, search before posting. Literally everything you need to know can be found by searching. Are you so lazy that you can't even browse over to the SD Development section yourself?
Anyway, 1. No it doesn't remove WinMo and 2. There are apps which can do that (search for something like Android Loader, can't remember the name of it).
