I have a problem with the Transformer and WiFi:
With a Netgear router the Transformer connects immediately without any problems, but if I use an USB WiFi pendrive Realtek RTL8191SU connected to my pc in access point mode with the sharing of Internet connectivity, the EeePad Transformer does not see the WiFi network and thus is unusable. Other smartphone that I have like the Samsung Galaxy S and HTC 7 Mozart see the WiFi network ...
... Possible solutions?
Thanks.
For some reason the transformer comes with us channel limitation even in the rest of the world. Try using a lower channel in your access point.

Is not possible to change channel on WiFi pendrive

I was browsing around my settings yesterday on my Transformer (1st gen) and discoverd that the settings to enable WiFi Hotspotting are active and can indeed be turned on. Last I checked though, the Transformer wasn't 3G enabled....anywhere. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, so I thought that I would sign up for XDA and make a post about it.
Its for 3g Dongles or The Tf101g (3g version of tf101)
Actually i've used it a couple of times well bluetooth tethering but still. Bluetooth tethering also tethers your wifi, so i used it to get the wireless key on devices without network cable and usb connection. Ideal
After reading a bit it's seems to be a common issue on ICS and later. My device occasionally looses it's wifi connection, at which point I have to go to settings and turn the wifi off and on. Is there a better solution to this problem? My router is using WPA2-PSK and is on channel 7.
Wifi seems to stay on fine here, but I cannot connect to 5ghz, only 2.4ghz. Not sure if this is an issue or if the Wifi chip only supports 2.4 ghz.

it doesnt connect to 5ghz, unless theres a trick to it??? but use wifi analyzer and look for the strongest channel on ur wifi router to fix ur problem
Turn off multimedia support on your router if all else fails

Yea I'm having trouble as well. I have a telus smart hub at home and it is super slow. Then when I use my hotspot on my Gnex from rogers, it runs fine, although this app takes awhile to load.
Tried playing with the settings, only think I couldn't find was the 5ghz and 2ghz.
Try some more playing tomorrow and look for different routers

Can I ask someone with nexus 7 to check if it connects with wifi AD-HOC network without problems?
I use my old LG gt540 as a 3g modem + wifi router, but it works only with ad-hoc. For example my HTC Sensation can't connect to such a network.
edit: NO, it does not connect with AD-HOC
the issue - i dont exactly know what causes it but the symtoms are that you can detect wifi networks but when you try to connect it saves but doesnt connect
the solution - reset ur wifi router with the tab on an wifi on and it can connect
didnt find the solution here on xda found it somewhere in this thread http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/asus-tf300-forum/40878-cannot-connect-wifi-anywhere.html
so i creating a something here
anyone else having this issue ?
Have had this issue with some pubic wifi (McDonalds/Starbucks) Not easy to reset their router.

But nothin noticeable faster with wifi...
THX 4 answers!!!
BEst regards, Oliver
what are you talking about?
...the wireless internet connection from the eee pad is slow as hell!
You keep using that word, 'fasten'. I don't think it means what you think it means.
ok well in order to give you and advice or help or tips on how to speed up your throughput over your wifi connection, we're gonna need to know exactly how your network is setup. router, other wireless and wired clients that might be on the network, wireless configuration and settings on both the router and the other devices, etc, etc, etc. so get all that info, come back post it up and i'll see if theres any room for improvement.
...in the deed - fasten was wrong^^ - faster!
Sry. my english isnĀ“t that good.
AND - my known configurations - using cable @ 20mbit with an D-Link DIR-645 / 802.11n.
Connected with cable to my pc...wireless of course two mobile phones, and a laptop above
(mostly disconnected) - in the hole appartment we got full shown wifi receiving.
Dont manage any special settings for the router, using auto setup with WPA2...
The EEE Pad (only WiFI) is rootet and got the revolver rom on it.
Im not a specialist in configuing networks u see^^
I hope thats of course enough info?!
THX for help - regards, Oliver
Is it even possible..?
Mine is pretty fast though.
Decend for me.
The problem with the TF101 only uses the 2.4 Ghz band and not the faster 5 Ghz.You can setup the router to only have the 101 on the 2.4 band and everything else use the 5Ghz for devices that can use that.
Is it just me who is having Wi-Fi problems?
I use the wireless internet on my PC. It connects fine, good reception.
But my tf101 has trouble connecting... it sometimes connects, but then it loses connection randomly. Sometimes the wireless network isn't even under the listed available networks, it just disappears. But then, nek minit, it reappears, and attempts to reconnecting. It sometimes fails and sometimes manages to reconnect for either a brief moment or a long time(rare).
Anyone else ?
Since today my galaxy note 3 stopped to work with my home wifi connection. Every time i try to connect it disconnects afterwards. How is that possibile ? No change in settings. The Strange thing is That Even the galaxy tab 3 can't connect to my wifi! I guessed That my wifi had problems.. but Why is it strange? Because my Ipad mini still connect and the connection is lightning fast. Can someone enlight me about this Strange Samsung device behavior?

I don't know, man. I have more problems with WiFi on my Note 3 than I have ever had on any device, bar none.
This link is from T-Mobile on Wifi problems, I hope it helps you. The forgetting Network worked for me. If you wireless router has dual band 2.4ghz and 5ghz switching to 5ghz and that seems to work better.
What I did was to keep both 2.4 and 5. I put 5ghz first then if falls over it picks up the 2.4ghz signal. So far so good.
