Ok so my Iconia is rooted and has been since I bought it. However today and the past couple days it would randomly freeze and restart. Now it is stuck in a constant reboot cycle. I tried reset button and nothing. Tried holding volume down and power and it comes up saying restoring or what ever and then drops me at an exclimation mark and the android guy. Any help guys?!? I haven't canged anything that I can think of.Sometimes it will boot to the screen being locked but crashes again seconds after unlocking
If nobody knows I guess I will try and take it back tmrw?
Seems done for if no hard reset is working. Did you mess with any files to make this happen?
Do you have adb set up and working? If not, that might give you some help. There are various threads on how to set it up in windows and Ubuntu(I've gotten it to work on Debian and Trisquel also)
Just bought my A500 today, started seeing it wake up every few minutes and read in another thread that a factory reset fixed it. I tried a factory reset following the manual and now my un-rooted, purely stock A500 is stuck on a boot loop. Would appreciate any ideas people might have.
Nope i didn't change anything. And I don't have adb set up. I think I will just get my money back and get the asus

Good luck finding one. I had a manager at Bestbuy look into their distribution channel software and the SKU wasn't even found, even though it's on their website. Dunno about other places.
"Chatted" with ACER tech support tonight. I was told to turn off the tablet, turn it back on, then hit the reset button (because of course I didn't think to do any of that before). The result was the same and with nothing else to give me told me I would need to send the unit in for repairs that could take up to 14 days. I think I will elect to take it back to Best Buy tomorrow for an exchange....
While i am a noob for Android/Smartphones, I am kinda a geek for pc's... With that in mind, I ask: Why doesn't someone create a program that can be downloaded and placed on a SD card that will run during a smartphones boot up that will start the phone in a "Safe mode" and allow users to fix them.
I currently have a Samsung that keeps freezing when the logo appears. I have attempted to perform a "Soft reset" but it still freezes. I don't know were to turn, so here I am....
I apologize if I have posted this in the wrong forum... Any help with were i should go from here will be greatly appreciated.
try charging it and turning it on....or try to repeatedly take out the battery and then turning it back on.....it happens sometimes one mine
You also could run a logcat to see where the phone is hanging.
Are you running stock?

will the phone go to download-mode? hold the volume-/camera/power for about 10secs it should get to a download screen so it can be reflashed, otherwise... well you know...
Sometimes this startup hanging happens for me & it will only boot w/o the SD card. Give that a shot.
This happens to me several times a month. The only solution that works consistently for me is:
1. Remove the battery
2. Wait for several minutes (Seems that some component needs to cool down, or capacitors need to drain, or something)
3. Then plug the battery back in
4. Reboot
i have found that when you hold down the Phone button for about a minute or so after you remove the battery , the phone will vibrate , do not remove your finger until the phone vibrates ...and it should boot from there.
Solution
I was talking to a tech rep at Virgin Mobile one day, and asked him if this was a common problem (knowing already that it was). Sparing you the details, what he told me is that when the intercept boots up, something gets jammed up with the 3G. And then the phone locks in the flashing logo phase. Now, EVERY single time I shut my phone down, I put it in airplane mode. It then reboots in airplane mode, and I almost never have a problem (meaning two or three times in the last 6 months). When is does happen, I reboot it again, and it boots right up. I presume that if need be, take it into a place with no signal and reboot it then.
Hi everyone.
I'm new in here (Been recommended to ask here about my problem)
I have bought a used Note 3 (4month old) in mint condition, but have these problems.
This boot fine up and showing samsung logo and animation, but the window where to type the PIN code often not coming up. the phone restart again. again. Only way to stop it is to remove the battery.
Sometimes i can see the PIN code window flashing up and dissapear. in a rare situation i can quickly enter the code and press OK. then the phone continue to main window and seems working normally.
I have sent the phone to warranty repair, but they say the phone was routed by custom software and the warranty is "broken". they can repair, but only to replace the HW and this will cost DKK 2500.-
and the seller i bought the phone is not accesible or dissapeared. only good thing is the phone is NOT stolen :good:
My hope you have good idea's to cure the booting problem on my Note 3.
Thank you for your helps
Best regards

Did you try to flash/wipe data in Recovery mode ?
You will turn the phone on by holding Power button + Home button + Volume Up at the same time.
Flash/wipe data there, so you will be back to factory settings.
Let us know if it fixed it.
There are other solutions. No need for panic.

I recently dropped my Note 3 (well, actually my wife accidentally knocked it out of my hand) and the screen (and perhaps the digitizer too) broke. When trying to boot it, the phone vibrates once like it is starting up, but then keeps vibrating every 10 seconds or so. I assume it's in some kind of a boot loop; will the phone not fully boot if it detects that the screen is broken? Any ideas on what I can do to boot it so I can wipe it remotely?
Help!

Hi Laura I can understand and feel your frustration but unfortunately your only option now it's to JTAG the phone to retrieve your data. Only a good phone shop can do it & it can be expensive.
First. I am new here, so please! I really need help!
I have Samsung Grand Prime duos that got dropped on water, but i"ll drop the story. My phone is working but not totally, I can only boot on download mode but not the recovery mode. *My phone is not rooted/custom. I tried changing stock roms and it Passed via Odin. But the real problem is this, it is only working when it is plugged in a charger, but it is not working working, get me? It keeps on rebooting and vibrating while the charging icon keeps on popping up. With a 2 to 3 seconds interval. And it is not charging!
I really need some good help here! Please! :crying::crying:
I think you have to go to Samsung warantly because it look like a hardware problem.

Water + Cellphones are not a good combination.
It sounds like hardware damage. It needs to be taken to a technician for physical repairs.
