It was a nice run, but the community has drastically changed over time.
The soul reason i was tricked so easily, is because i was blind in my ignorant beliefs that XDA was a community of developers. Instead, it resulted in a split. The intelligent people, who understand hard work and help development, and the asinine, those who complain and whine and will kill to have a new release.
This is my brief resignation. I will most likely be stopping by to provide my 2 cents now and then, but no more releases from me.
A special thanks to the intelligent individuals who can understand where i'm coming from with this decision.
Good bye everyone.

I don't think that feature is implemented on this forum...

I completely understand haykuro. That's exactly what happened over at insanelymac and out osx86 developers. I was a long time member at one time moderator and irc admin then all the young dumb don't want to read search or learn teeny boppers who want us to do the hardwork and id they mess up they're parents computer its our faults. That's all these ppl do is complain complain. They don't relize the hard work we do.

well,i have been visiting xda for many months now,i really appreciate the excellent work done by devs ,but then this mod editand few other people come out and start shouting on the devs that they are not doing anything good or better,well i hate these kinds of people and i want the moderator or chairman or whoever runs xda developers site to thr mod editkind of people who demoralize devs out of this site and block them so they don't come back again to participate in the forums,they are a shame to devs society

yeh is always the way lol want all new stuff but refuse to learn to how to make stuff, i would start to learn but i have no idea where to start XD i think dev are going a great job, we have custom rom's, emulated dual touch and soon ip tables (bring on the wifi hot spot) and all while working on boot loader bypass.

no, that's definitively not you. however, you made mistake by saying something that feels like this behaviour and of course, people will react. how would you feel if you were dev like racht and someone came to your thread saying something like "i dont see much/any progress (lately)"... of course you would be at least a little bit pissed off, which would lead to piss-off chain reaction similar to the one in atomic bomb
i think that we can forgive him this, at least because it his approach wasn't so aggressive as sometimes it is (take a look at, for example, i9000 development, at some places you'll find people fitting in my analysis)...
because this fight won't bring us anything but negative energy and feeling accross the forum, making it even worse... although i'd really love to be admin and ban forever everyone who seems to be debbie-downer...

Please stop with the dumb comments against the devs. This is totally uncalled for and should stop now. I am someone who really enjoy's coming to this site. I come here to read, learn and always am looking for new fun things to flash.
IMO all the devs here are amazing and remember they do this all for free, They dont have to give us nothing but they give us amazing Roms, Kernels and Themes to make our phones better and allows us to customize it how we like. You are all entitled to an opinion but if you have nothing nice to say then you should'nt say it. Dont start crap because your Rom hasnt been updated in a few days, you know the devs are working on it and will release it after its been tested. I know i want something tested before i flash it and i would think you would also. So lets remember we all are here for the same reasons and i would like to make sure the devs know we appreciate them and all they do for us. I dont want devs to start getting pissed and say forget you all so lets try being nicer to them.
Sorry for this but this is just my opinion and i hope you all would agree with me.

Why, Why would anyone who is a member or user of XDA, bash on the Developers?? This is ASININE!! The developers here have made your devices so much better than they are stock. they spend countless hours fixing what the carrier and manufacturer screwed up in the first place and pawned off on us as GOOD STUFF Every time I have Questions or Issues with something it has been a developer who helped me, so in return they get all my support. Then I take what I already knew and what I learn here and apply it to helping other who are not at the level i am yet. So if this forum is dedicated to making things better for your devices and your understanding of those devices and its OS, which they MOST definitely ARE, why not show support and ask for help if something is going wrong or you don't understand, most of us are truly here to help. Instead of complaining and bashing do some research and find out how to help yourself, who knows, you might get so addicted to it you become a developer yourself.

Thank you... It's nice to see people are agreeing with me on this.

Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Also, remember to not be frustrated when they can't instantly solve a problem. There is a reason that they make the roms, and you don't. Most people are busy.. maybe they have a job, family, and/or school. The fascinate really has talented people working on it. We are some of the lucky people that flash new toms and kernels without a locked bootloader.

Are you trying to suggest that I can't complain about the bleeding edge software/firmware and a**kicking mods that we get from them when Samsung and Verizon wouldn't walk across the street to piss on our heads if we were on fire? Just curious, but where did you see anyone bashing a developer? The only bashing i have ever seen in the fascinate forum was of people who post things that are obviously not their own work. A lot of comm rom supporters used to have bad attitudes towards nitro for including tsm parts in his rom, but he has gotten rid of those now so there is no reason to be mad at him.

I think this thread was started in response to chronster's comments in your Crysis Revolution thread about Community ROM being broken and your theme not being made for other ROMs.

Well there has been people coming into the posts and complaining that this Rom or theme hasnt been updated. i mean i am all for the newest updates to any of the Roms, themes, launchers and anything you all do for us. So basically i was just trying to put it out there that anyone who is not contributing to any dev or mods should just be patient and in time all their ROMS, Themes, CWM and everything that you all do will get done. I was just getting tired of people demanding stuff, i mean come on if you want something bad enough and you can't wait then oh well learn to do it yourself. There are plenty of people waiting for Comrom v 2.0 and they will have to wait until it has been tested and released, when it is it will be awesome b/c these good people who have jobs and lives outside of this posts are willing to do amazing stuff in their free time. I know your Tw4 is going to be awesome and you do amazing work.
I just want everyone to be nice to you all as they should be showing their appreciation instead of sometimes being asses to some of the devs. I didnt enjoy my phone when i first got it and now i love it because of all that you all do... I just wanted you all to know it and i hoped everyone else agrees with me.

Our devs rule and everyone knows it. Anyone who would bash them is clearly a troll or an idiot, or both, and shouldn't be paid an ounce of attention.

yeah it wasnt just chronster though....if you actually want to bang your head against the wall there are dozens of lousy comments in the com rom thread about "this rom is broken, why release this..blah blah"

It explains everything about that rude behaviour that broke out in some topic. 90% of the people are less than 18 years old here, no wonder that the x8 threads are dying because of some unbelievably stupid men who don't even realize what should go on here... DX, Racth, FXP, KuyaGaol, Indonesian Devs they are still developing/cooking ROMs because it is there passion or hobby. But not anymore here in XDA. People who tried to help in the development will more likely get an update to there ROMs. The reason why respect never exist on some people its because of there selfishness they are full of mouths and idea but intelectually incapacitated so there obsessions make them push dev as if they paid them.

They dont have site. Indonesian devs release there ROMS is indonesian FB Community. ICS Dev Team is for private persons only..

People that are always complaining and asking the devs for rushing the work will also be asking for the links of their private communities, so they can go there and start asking the same things..

you're right, im under 18 actually under 14 but i respect the devs and the devs work, they do have a personal life, but due to some morons round here even fxp and ratch have left us, were lucky doixanh is still here

While it is nice to know that doixanh may be continuing developing GingerDX inside his Indonesian community I find it very discomforting that we now have to jump through an array of hoops to _maybe_ get an update for the ROM - thanks to unthankful, and highly disgusting, ill mannered kids who should actually be forbidden to run wild as they please on the Internet (and also thanks to moderators who fail their job to have a look at what's going on and enforcing rules at misbehaviour).
While I switched to the SGS Galaxy S2 as my main phone now I will actually keep the X8 because I had to buy the new phone with a brand new SIM therefore new phone number, so I would be interested in ROM updates if there will be any.

You have no idea how right you are, Asycid. You have my deep sincere sympathy - I actually feel highly ashamed about the display of epically ill mannered behaviour which took place - and I actually detest the people involved in the bust up for driving one of the best developers away from here.
But then, they got what they asked for. I understand doixanh's decision perfectly ... he simply doesn't need to put up with it as he simply didn't deserve being insulted by a bunch of np-brainers.
Anyway, I think it was all for the better. They wrecked the experience for their phones themselves - I just hope they lack the allowance to move on to other, better, devices so they can't continue their quest to wreck this place.

thats true, like i said in my other post, were lucky we still have dx,
i am a kid but i dont like to be pushy, ill mannered etc. i like to help people and not make them upset. whoever it is from a junior memeber to a developer you should always respect them!

Ok guys lets have another thread that IMO will build rapport to our community.
Lately I was sad about what is happening to our community, there are flaming and trolling everywhere and it seems no one wants to hold back and bow down. In short we hurt others feelings. I don't know if you felt guilty when sometimes you know you over said it, well yes I do. This gives me the idea of creating this thread to express your sorry to the person you hurt and say thank you to people that helped you. I also noticed that there are several people who create thread that they are going to leave the community. That's sad, but before they leave let us make them feel our care and love so that they can share to other community what X8 community is.
So here is the mechanic.

Thank you for your message. It has been a realization about using warez. You really have the point about it, I admit I use apps that I didnt bought and I know its illegal as per the hardwork of its developer, but the fact that some roms outside xda include it in there roms I dont bother to removed it esp when I find it beneficial. I think its also a challenge for the developers to patch and secure their apps for any cracking, but also the number one responsibility comes from ourselves. I dont patronize nor support using warez, but I admit I uses some of it.
I wish that you will continue to abide the forum rules and help people if possible. I wish also that you enhance your English here so that people wont misunderstand what you want to say.

Im sorry for being vulgar to you about your deeds, honestly your one of the person who pissed me in the community but i try to hold myself as much as I could. Sorry to call you troll.
I thank you that even though people may hate you, you are still in the community and somehow help others in your own little way..
I wish you change your attitude and I wish you choose not harsh words on people . You can say things nicely that will not hurt people feelings.. hugs.

Im sorry to the mods for pissing them off so much that they warned & infracted me. I didn't know what I did was against the rules. Now i wont be able to apply for any title till October. I brought this upon myself and I shall wait for the next 5-6 months till the infraction expires...then i shall try to apply again and hopefully i get it who knows, maybe i may apply to become a mod (i have a really bad sense of humour)...im sincerely sorry to mods or anyone else who hates me on XDA

I want to apologize for my attitude against some persons(a little bit late, but I think that this is a nice thread to revive)...its true that I don't like some, but isn't this normal?!
I am not always a good boy and the most of times I have different opinions ?!!??!!!! That's kinda weird... but I always want to tell them even if they aren't liked by anyone.
I remember having some little fights..especially with wilbso...remember? it was solved through pm and we are friends now... I never wanted to offend anybody so sorry if my attitude made you feel like it.

i would like to say sorry to b.jay and egaleeyetom for my harsh comments about cwm recovery in gdx v25. I was upset and angry about bricking my x8 as its was the first time i had bricked and was not sure how to fix. Wot i should of done was ask for help about fixing my x8 of which b.jay and egaleeyetom would have been more then happy to help instead i flamed you both and for that i am TRULY SORRY
