My hd2 recenlty cause me trouble not charging. After a little try and no luck i decided to sent it back for repair.
So the question: how can i restore the phone to warranty status?
I' already flash the stock rom twice. Via activesync and then from sd card. Finally a hard reset is made just in case. Do i have to do anything else? Does anybody has prior experience with warranty issues?

If you have flashed the stock ROM for hour HD2 via SD card then you should be good to go for warranty reair. Just boot into bootloader to make sire you now have SPL o

Hey everybody,
My HD is acting funny at the moment. The screen isn`t going on anymore. The device self is responding, it makes noise when someone calls and vol up/down is also responding. I know where the vibrate button on the screen appears and when i press at this place it also responds. So the screen is responding but isn`t turning on. Also the green/orange light behind the power button isnt working. Maybe a problem with the backlight? The device is younger than a year so i should have warranty but I flashed the device. Should this cause any problems when i send it back?

I think your screen is dead.
did you drop the phone or some thing like that??
and if you want to send it back, you need the original rom from HTC or the custum rom from your phone company.
Do you alredy try to Hardreset?
Thanks for the replies! I didn`t drop the phone or something like that, it just started to do it. Hard reset is a bit of a guess if it worked because the screen isn`t working. A bit annoying because i also need to flash it back to original if i want to sent it to HTC...Any tips?
than flash it back you don't need the screen to do it.
I used USPL a few weeks ago to flash a 1.56 rom. Do i also need to flash back my spl than? Am i right that you first had to flash back the SPL to original 1.14?
Does anybody have a clue about the SPL i`ve got at the moment? Last time i used USPL to flash a 1.56 rom. So do i have the original SPL at the moment?

As long as you have stock rom on it and stock SPL you will be fine.
You flashed a 1.56 rom using USPL so chances are your SPL is 1.54.0000 which should be fine for returning under warranty.
Your main concern is getting stock rom on device which you should still be able to do even without screen working. Connect device to pc and run USPL as normal and then flash stock 1.56 rom onto device

I didn`t know SPL 1.54 would be ok to return under warranty. I did the following: I`ve set my phone in bootloader, runned USPL and flashed a cooked wwe rom. This was all completed correctly so i should be able to return it under warranty right?
I used this rom: RUU_BlackStone_HTC_Europe_1.56.401.0_Radio_52.62.25.34_1.13.25.24_Ship

As long as you have stock rom and your not using HSPL you will be fine
Yeah i meant stock rom, just got off the phone with HTC. They`re picking it up next Thuesday... I`ll keep in touch!
Hi Sharpedgedone - I've also got the same problem on my un-modded (standard ROM) Touch HD.
Just left a message with HTC support, hopefully mine will also be still under warranty.
Will let you know how I go.
The idiots lost the phone! HTC track site still said `we`re expecting delivery and will start repair asap´. Contacted with HTC and confirmed that the phone still hadn`t arrived and an investigation was started to retrieve the phone. They also said the phone was branded and they made a mistake taking the repair assignment. This had to be done thrue the provider and not directly by HTC. Called my provider and they say the device is unbranded, like i ordered it begin this year specifically. I mailed the pick-up order letter to the person who is investigating the whereabouts of the phone 10 days ago. Still nothing...
Any advice or experiences with this?
Just got the phone back, opened the box @ the postoffice. Immediately noticed the IMEI nr changed. Phoned with HTC from there, dont know what happenden, they earlier said the phone was send directly back by the package service when they found it. Starting an investigation again. They made the note to contact the repair center by myself. Contacted Eurotwice repair center (BE), they`re the official HTC repair center, and they said they also dont know and the device was sent to Dynafix (NL). Thats the repair center of the provider. Contacted Dynafix and they said the Mobo was swapped en sent back to Eurotwice and eurotwice sent it back to me...
Device seems to be working ok for now so thats positive . I only had to call for a total of 2 hours to find this out by myself. Anyone knows where i can demand this back from HTC or file in a complaint?
Because my phone keeps freezing about 5 times a day am thinking of flashing this rom (have the leoimg file on my sd card ready to install). Just want to know, now it's been out for a few weeks, what everyones thoughts on it is? Still fast & stable? No other issues?

dont flash via sd card! it can overwrite ur spl >.<! do it only via usb on a computer!
Overwriting the SPL won't be a problem as I need a stock spl if I ever want to send it back for repair. + I can always reflash hpsl2 if needs be
Seems OK
Only problem I had was I re-installed .NET3.5, as I didn't trealise the new rom contains a later version.
It ran like a very very slow thing until I un-installed.

flash the stock rom via sd card at your peril,the spl will be changed to 2.something witch is not stock and hspl2 can't change it
also if you send the phone for repairs with the 2.? spl in it tmobile will most likely void the warranty.
ps why don't you try Artemis, the roms are very fast and great for every day use.

that sounds bad. Id say either faulty battery, or more likely faulty power circuitry inside teh phone.
Warranty would be my first stop.

It has to be the correct official rom, unless you have hspl installed. Example, if your phone is rom locked to O2 (not sim lock, that doesnt matter) then opnly the o2 official rom will work, (unless you have hspl installed)
Yes, I have HSPL installed, (I went back to HSPL 1.42 and the I am trying to flash the latest t-mobile rom rom the HTC site.

i have same situation:/
I sent it back to the repair centre
HSPL/SSPL
when you flash official ROM you must install SSPL. When you flash custom ROM install HSPL.
so i got this refurbished hd2 from t-mo a few days ago. it had a reset issue so i installed HSPL 2.08 on it and put android on it. same problem. it resets/freezes every 3 min or so if there is a sim card it in. im gonna send it back but i need to make sure it is totally stock. I got the stock rom back on but how do i put the stock HSPL back on it?

i flashed my hd 2 and now my touchscreen doesn't work anymore
so i flashed back to stock rom from htc site
is this everything that i need to do or do i need to do something else also?
and how long will it take to fix it ?
i only need the serrial number right?

If you flashed by SD card it will be good, if you flashed by USB Hspl may still be there. Check in bootloader and rectify with hspl4 or SD card flash stock.
