right now im on the touch it 4.1 and i want to go back to the stock rom. ive used the RUU but it just goes to 1% and then the phone restarts and then the process comes up as an error. can anyone help?
Have you Hard SPL'ed your phone. If you have, you need to read the forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=364543. This was a lifesaver when I needed to send my wing back for a replacement. It has step by step instructions for flashing Stock ROM. Just curious, why are you going back to a Stock ROM?
st
buddy ur a lifesaver!!! but actually im doing the same thing, sending it back in.lol. and yes i did hard-spl
Glad to help.
Ok I searched before asking and hope this isnt somewhere else but I have a downgrade issue. I want to downgrade from the OTP 7.7 to the original t-mobile rom but every time I try it goes to 1 percent and the phone resets itself then causing a update 262 error I have tried putting the phone in bootloader and even tried putting the phone in flight mode. None of these have worked. I am on hour three now of returning my WIFES wing back to its original state to no avail. My wife is starting to think I cant change it back and is getting upset PLEASE help!!!!!!
Try to install Hard SPL 4.70 yang again, maybe this can help you. I had an error like this, when I tried to flash back to HTC-Rom before a while.

are you trying to restore the wing back to original tmobile stock ROM and remove hardspl (for warranty purposes) or just getting the stock ROM back?
are you hardspl?
This is not a development thread. Please keep all non-development threads to the Herald or Herald 6 forums.
If you hardSPL'd, you can't flash because of your current SPL. You can do two things:
1. Use USPL along with the tmobile stock RUU to bypass the HardSPL and overwrite it with the original SPL.
2. Take apart the RUU and put it back together without the old SPL (and resigning it with a non-tmobile/htc signature which is done automatically by the tools.)

a similar question has probably already been posted
i have a tmobile hd2
i successfully hardspl to it
i flashed the energy reference rom
then i realized that i needed to use the task29 tool before
i flash any rom... did that, hard resetted, and then tried flashing again (energy referecne) using the sd card method
and i just get stuck on the "NRG" screen
tried the other custom ruu method getting the same results
using the radio 2.07.50.27
i put back the regular spl to flash a stock rom but still no luck
i know the phone isn't bricked i can get to boot loader, hard reset
any help would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance!

ok as from my knowledge you dont necessarily need to do task29 if its ur first time flashing (cuz i didnt and i got very good results) so i think u messed up in tht part.. but its ok, now you prolly want to first --> do a task29 again... second ---> get the nrg rom and flash it.... third -->get a radio of 2.10 or higher and flash tht....and just to play safe flash everything using custom ruu (i got better results using them...just saying)... also when u do each flash and its suspenseful dont boot up the phone, just take out the battery and back into bootloader.
hope this helps... report back lol
^thanks man
Okay so heres how it goes, my phone is def not bricked
custom ruu has only worked once for me
now whenever i try to use it it always gets stuck at 8%
i found that if i flash it at night and hard reset. wait til morning and turn on the phone
then it loads past the nrg screen and into the OS.
i'm currently trying to get it back to stock and i downloaded the tmobile update
but it doesnt seem to work, it also keeps stopping at 8%
i disable the anti virus stuff and i plug it in to the back of my computer
sounds like a defect
sorry to bust your bubble bro but it sounds like you got a classic case of a defective leo, i too did the same steps you did and it turns out my main board wasn't any good and the phone kept overheating, turns out when flashing custom roms they tend to put more pressure on the snapdragon then a regular stock t mobile rom. i know this sounds crazy but i believe it to be true, so with that said you got two options, one get back to t mobile customer care and get a replacement. or do what i did and find a repair shop and let them know that your leo either needs a new mainbaord or a new heatskin like mines did, it cost me 80 dollars which wasnt bad since my leo was a gift and i couldnt give it back to t mobile... hope that helps in some way
p.s. sorry for the edit but if you cant do either of those of what i suggested, try this get yourself a nice icepack nthe size of your phone and mount the leo on top of it whenever your using it, so that sucker wont overheat. once again i hope i helped
My Leo's touch screen finally died on me over the weekend, which I guess is a good run since launch till now. But anyway, I am getting a replacement phone and got to send this one back. Now it has android loaded onto the nand and I am not to sure they would be happy to get it back like that, so should I just go get the newest update off tmobs website or someone got a link?
Can I reflash the stock rom without needed the screen, if I remember back then you just plug it in and run the exe and it did the rest?
Also is there anything else I should do before sending it back?
If you are using a t-mobile HD2, then yes, you may flash the newest t-mo stock rom. Do it from your sd card if you want to remove the HSPL. But you can also remove the HSPL through Cotulla's HSPL 4, just run his exe and choose the latest SPL.

Thanks but how do you run it from the SD card? I normally just use cwm for flashing roms, and I want to just purge the phone clean. Then I got to pull up all the info to reflash my new one lol.
Don't remember lawl. Just search it up, there's bunch of other threads asking the same question in here. There's one right now in general.
Ok, guys I REALLY NEED HELP WITH MY TMOUS HD2.
I currently have HSPL 2.08 but everytime i go into the bootloader and install a WinMo 6.5 Rom it gets stucked at 8% percent for awhile then goes to 100. After i installed it, it gets stuck on T-Mobile, Stick Together screen with the R G B thing on the bottom.
I had NAND on my HD2 but it keeps freezing in every rom anytime I use data connection, recieve calls, or use browser or anything that uses the Data Or T-Mobile Connection. So i decide to reflash everything starting with Radio, and I recently installed Radio 2.15 something like that in A radio thread somewhere on the forums. I chose that one because im assuming it's the newest one. I flashed it, and removed MAGLDR, and etc. I currently tried using Task29 and flashed stock 2.08 radio but had the same problems. I CANNOT FLASH ANY ROMS. I TRIED REFLASHING MAGLDR AND CWM AND I CANT GET INTO RECOVERY I GET A FATAL ERROR1. Should return the HD2 to T-Mobile? They don't sell the HD2 anymore so i assume HTC will have to give me one. I'm currently deciding the only choice i have is to return my HD2 to T-Mobile. I flashed SPL 2.08 so it's back to stock. I cannot install or load any roms without it being stuck in the T-Mobile screen. Any help? Or i just have to replace it with a new one?

your phone is currently out of warranty, do not send it to HTC.
Download the tmobile stock ROM by going to the tmobile website > support and they will aks you for your IMEI and SN, enter it and it will give you a download for the stock ROM.
Download the ROM, then extract the file.
Take the .nbh file and rename it to LEOIMG.NBH
put that on the root of your 8gb or less SD card, pop it in, get into bootloader, and hit the power button when it tells you to.
IF this fails it sounds like a hardware issue.
Put your phone in a plastic bag and stick it in th fridge for 10 minutes, take it out and reflash as above, after flash call HTC on a warranty claim because your phone will be stock and hence back in warranty.
I've tried that, i only have a 16gb sd card and it works, but it gets stuck in the stick together crap. D:
seems to be cropping up every few days lately, this problem, though it's always been around. 'stuck radio', 'spl wont change ' 'flash fails at 8/9/10%' and variants thereof, , android gives fatal hit, nothing sticks when flashed, and teh phone never gets past teh rgd screen (cos the radio is shafted)
so i cant send it to htc? then wtf..?

Well from reading this thread I agree with samsamuel, it sounds like you are having a hardware problem as most of the HD2's that people have that show the symptoms Sam mentioned can not be fixed with software solutions. Bu there is the occasional anomaly that someone manages to bring back to life but even m,ost of them eventually completely get "stuck" and then they are useless.
As for what to do. You can take it or send it somewhere to replace the mainboard for you. Or just buy another HD2. That is it short and sweet.
so whats the update blahblah 13233?
Thanks guys with all the help possible, I went to a T-Mobile store and asked for a replacement, it should be coming in 2 days. I had to pay 5$ Shipping. So when I get my new phone I gotta give my old phone in some container or whatever and mail it to htc or give it to any T-Mobile store Thanks guys with giving me ideas. The people at T-Mobile said it's a hardware problem like the guy stated above. Oh well, I hope it doesn't happen again.
