Hi, I noticed that more people are trying make the android in NAND version and the SD version start to sink.
I really like some android builds; however, they are NAND version. Is there anyway to convert NAND version into SD card? I tried to move the file named "system.img" into my android folder in the root of SD card, it won't work. Do you have any idea?
I want to do this, because I don't want to loss my windows mobile and want to keep two operating system. Although some people state that the NAND version is smoother and faster, the SD (Even RAM) version is still my best choice.

If you want to keep your windows i think you must use the SD version,not sure you can convert the NAND version to SD.
They're totally different. If you want SD then you have to use SD builds.

If you have ever use HTC Kaiser (with android boot from SD card and boot from nand), you will know why I ask this.
Basically, they are same. Just the way how they boot. That's it.
I am pretty sure there is the way to do that. Otherwise, the developer should create another version instead of NAND version.

The word of "should" is just simply a suggestion. It is not a big deal and it is much polite rather than I say "MUST"
I want to keep windows mobile too! There are some applicazioni like gps gate and gpstuner, tcpmp, coreplayer that i love and i don't want to loose! I like also my Artemis Rom.
For every day use i prefer to use Android (more user friendly than wm), but sometimes when it disconnect or lag or i'm using my bike and i want a gpstrack, use gps gate and google map and listen to music (streaming or not) i use windows mobile that is more stable for the moment! But there are always more nand than sdcard version and it'ld be useful convert them into sd version. When MAGLDR will be very good probaby i'll can boot all i want from where i want but for now convert roms it'ld be useful sr 4 my bad english!
I haven't bothered installing the MAGLDR yet because I am very comfortable with my setup, I have windows mobile 6.5 with android SD, however would it be possible to dual boot Windows Phone 7 with android or Windows Mobile 6.5 on the Nand? Like for the TMOUS1024 devices? I've read on the chinese site for the DFT that its possible but the instructions are very hard to understand. I can't be the only one wondering this or wanting this? Any ideas guys?

Is it possible to boot a SD android version via magldr?

I would love to try "Windows 7 NAND and Android SD" even If it is complex. Do have a detailed instruction on how to do this, or know where I can find one?

i think in the future u should be able to dual boot both from nand if u have the 1024leo because the windows phone 7 rom only uses half of the nand

At least that's the idea. Two OS's from the faster NAND memory, rather than the slower SD. Only applicable, of course, to the 1024MB version of the HD2. I know this is difficult, but if the chinese are doing it, why can't we ? This would just make this phone more awesome than it already is.

What chinese are doing it? I've never seen 2 OS's both on nand on a phone anywhere... even those cheap chinese fakes that claim to run both wm and android are just running android off the sd.
I, too, hope one day someone makes this possible... but not sure if it will happen or possible yet.
Also, HD2 NAND is not faster than a good quality SD in most cases. You might get a little better random access speed from nand, but if you find a good sd, even that is probably about equal. Even WP7 is now using SD cards as internal memory, now, but you need a good SD card that matches the NAND speed for it to work right. SD Android builds run at the same speed as NAND builds in most cases, but most SD builds aren't updated like NAND builds are.
But anyways, I agree that I would like to see 2 OS's from NAND on our phones.

I have a nice tutorial on how to do this. You have to be careful to choose the right SD Android Builds which you can use. There are only a few which are compatibe with SD Magldr. In my thread there are some of the more popular ones which has been converted to work with more coming shortly.
When Nand first came out there were a tutorial which I came across to convert SD Builds into Nand so in theory reversing the process you might be able to convert Nand back to SD and convert that to work with Magldr. It is something I have been wanting to look into for a few weeks now so I might just make it a priority of mine cause any build to dual boot with WP7 would be pretty awesome.
I think its possible, but its difficult because Windows properity OS may conflict with Androids OS so someone would have to configure it so that they both won't conflict with each other.

I have been using a NAND Android ROM since they came out and love it, but I'm curious about Windows 7. My questions are as follows:
Does Windows 7 run off the SD card or NAND?
Can I go back to Android if I don't like it?
Does everything work on 7?
Is there a working Pandora hack?

2) Yes, simply flash your preferred NAND via MAGLDR
3) Yes, if you get your activation code to use Live services
4) The jailbreak is called "Chevron" and is cooked into most custom ROMs - but not the very first "Leo70".
The nice thing about the HD2 is you can install wp7 on your NAND, and still boot android off your SD... I went from NAND android back to SD android builds so I could also use wp7, and I've noticed almost no difference in performance and battery life between NAND android and SD android. Only thing you miss out in with SD android is that there's no clockwork recovery... but it's easy enough to boot different builds and make backups with SD android.
WP7 is great, but it's still missing some functionality and apps that android has, so having both is perfect. At this point, I would have a very hard time choosing between the 2 OS's if I had to get a different phone. WP7 grows on you very quickly. Can't wait for MS to put out the update that gives multitasking to WP7.
So I want to try out some SD ROMs for the HD2, as there's just so many to try. With Windows Mobile, you could boot into SD Android using Haret.exe. I'm wondering, is there a way [ via an app or Terminal or something] to boot into an SD ROM from NAND Android? I know the usual way to do it is from MAGDLR, but I have the issue with my end call button messing up my screen's responsiveness, so I'd like to avoid using MAGDLR if possible. Thanks for any help

Unfortunately no, if you are using a Nand rom then MAGLDR is the only way. The file selection process is exclusive to WinMo

But my screen became altogether unresponsive, so I'm getting it replaced and will be able to easily boot between SD and NAND without the worry like before. Just this time I'll be very careful with the use of my buttons!

I am using my HD2 with dorimanx´s android Rom and I am happy with my running system but I really want to test Tango (or Mango) booting from SD.
Is there any one you can recomment me ....
usually I read about it and test ..... but I just want to give it a try.... and dont want to touch my running system ...so far.

dxdy said it. Any Windows Phone build must be installed and run from the NAND memory. So you could backup your Android system (with NANDroid), backup SD-card, and install WP the way you'd normally do it. You'd always have your Android build backed up and packed away. It's easy to restore it, if you don't like WP.
Other than that, the only way to dualboot the two systems is with SD Android and some special SD-partitions, as far as my knowledge goes to.
