dxdy said it. Any Windows Phone build must be installed and run from the NAND memory. So you could backup your Android system (with NANDroid), backup SD-card, and install WP the way you'd normally do it. You'd always have your Android build backed up and packed away. It's easy to restore it, if you don't like WP.
Other than that, the only way to dualboot the two systems is with SD Android and some special SD-partitions, as far as my knowledge goes to.

[Q] Do I have to use the SD method if I want to keep Winmo?

I am about to install Android on my HTC HD2, and the advise I was given was that I must use the SD method. I just want to be sure.
I need a system where when I start the Phone Winmo starts up, and then I run another program to run Android, and then I can go back and forth (via reboot or some other way).
Thanks for your advise and information!

So far as I know, you'll have to go with the SD variant if you want to keep WinMo. That way, WinMo is only a re-boot away. It's the method I prefer as I'm not so taken with either Android or WinPhone to go for the full NAND flash.
yeah, you would need to use the SD card method, i would recomend using RAM builds because they are very fast!
Yes, you must avoid the NAND versions, cause these will erase your Windows Mobile ROM and replace it by a Android ROM.
Thus, you have to choose a build inside the "HD2 Android SD Development" thread.
But here inside it is not always simple. Cause for some SD builds you will need to flash MAGLDR to be able to boot these builds, while for others the old method of executing CLRCAD and HARET is much simpler.

[Q] Can I have an AD ROM on NAND and another AD ROM on SD with SEPARATE storages?

I currently have a dual-boot system with WP7 on NAND and several Android ROM's on SD. Even though the storage for all SD ROM's is the same (for example, you take a picture in one and it's visible in the gallery of another), there is absolutely no file sharing between my NAND OS and my SD OS's.
Well, I am now planning to get rid of WP7 and I want to have an Android ROM on NAND and one or more Android ROM's on SD and I want the same thing: to partition my SD card in a way that the NAND build only sees, say, 3GB of my 8GB card and the SD builds see the other 5GB.
Is this possible? How can I achieve this?
well i guess we can do everything with our hd2 ...but not something like this ... once u install android in nand it's the only os in ur phone ...and u can run another rom only if u delete the one before

What? No, that's not correct. Using MAGLDR, you can have a NAND Android ROM and as many Android ROM's as you want on SD. That's not what I'm asking.

there are a few process that you need to do, as of now you have WP7 which took up almost 99% of your SD card, so you must process that card so that you can either put an Android SD or Native SD, I hope your card is big enough to make other partitions.
Try the links below & use what ever you need, BTW if you made a mistake in the process you can't/ won't access your WP7 anymore
But you can make a back up image of your existing WP7 SD card to another card just in case.

Oh i see.
So if this is possible would it be possible to triple boot, wp7, stock android, and android with htc sense?
Also, is the android installation on the video the same for every other android rom such as this http://www.ihelplounge.com/how-to-flash-mode-hd2-htc-android-with-htc-sense-35-custom-rom/ for example?

You've chosen a NAND ROM, you need to choose an SD ROM.

What can be installed without SD-card

Hi
I just wanted to know what operating system beside windows mobile 6.5 I can install on a HD2 without an SD-card?
I know it's the best to get an SD-card for installing something else than WM6.5, but I get the HD2 tomorrow and the SD-card arrives to the retailer on Monday, so I can't wait to get going. I mostly wanted to install Android 4.x.x on it, but from what I read, it's almost impossible to install Android on it without an SD-card.
Welp, you can't install Android on SD, that's for sure, and installing WP7 without it is not a good idea since the OS takes majority of internal memory and you are left few megabytes. You can also install some old Android ROMs which are distributed not through zips, but through special exe files which are compatible with magldr. The rest (which is all the newer ROMs) needs to be installed through recovery which needs SD card to install it.

[Q] Dualboot with WP7 [NativeSD]

Alright so here is the situation. I have HD2 with NexusHD2-JellyBean-4.1.2-CM10 V1.3a installed with NativeSD version. Is it possible to dualboot WP7 without wiping off the Android? Most guides I've seen always mention to install WP7 first, but they are outdated, because they always say to install both WP7 and Android to NAND which I'm not using right obviously. So is there any way to install WP7 with Android existing already?
Note: This isn't really THAT importnant which is why I'm not keen on wiping Android. I just want to experiment.
Hi!
I'm afraid you cannot install WP7 on sd card. Afaik there were experiments with WP on sd but several problem occurred so the best way is installing it on NAND.
If you don't want to lose your data on android you can back it up with Titanium Backup and restore your apps, sms etc. after installing a nativeSD rom. Or you can make a nandroid backup from recovery, try WP7 and if you don't like it just restore your old system.
I used mengfei's tutorial for dual (triple) booting: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896213 :good:
I don't want to install it to SD. I want to install it to NAND along with my Android being NativeSD, but I don't want to wipe Android first but as I understand it installing WP7 into NAND now will most likely break the Android which is why I'm asking if there's way to install it to NAND as a second OS rather than installing it first. Sorry if my English sucks.

Nope, unfortunately there isn't a way to install more than one OS on the NAND (at least as of yet). And Windows Phone requires the memory card to be formatted.
I can list you some options:
- Do what NxStep said and make a nandroid backup, flash WP7, repartition and reinstall the ROM.
- Theoretically, you could make an image of the ext partition on your sd card, and after installing windows phone you restore it. I am not sure of this one, haven't tried or heard someone try it before.
I suggest doing option 1.

Oh well I understand now what you just wanted.
Marvlesz is right, you cannot have both on nand. WP is quite "strict" with installation but you have more options placing the android system as described above. If you install WP right now, it will format your entire phone including nand and the whole sd card as well.
