This is the wrong section to post this.... but all you have to do is pick out a winmo rom you want from the winmo rom section...here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=534
I always used energy rom... it's one of the more popular ones and works well with android on sd.... here's link to energy thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784
Once you pick out rom, then to flash, go to bootloader by holding the down volume button while you turn phone on. It should go to tri-colored screen. Plug into usb on computer. Wait for any drivers needed to install. Word on bottom of phone screen should change from serial to USB. Once it says USB, then run the rom update utility that's in the rom folder you downloaded and follow directions. And it'll flash the rom and you'll have winmo back.
It may be a good idea to task 29 it too, but it's not necessary. Search about task29 to learn about that, or read the sticky rollup threads at top of winmo rom section.

It's very simple.
- turnoff your HD2.
- Press "volume down" and press "power key"----> you HD2 go to bootloader.
- Plug cable into PC and your HD2.
- open folder rom_stock and run "ROMUpdateUtility".
- about 5-10 minutes, your HD2 is WM6.5.
And what do you do if vol down and power key doesn't bring you to bootloader but to reboot ? and if vol- vol + power does'nt reset ?

It means your HD2 is going broken down.
Not really : nandroid works fine !!!!
You have to turn off your phone first, then turn on pressing vol - and power key and release the vol- only after seeing the tri color bootloader
The same question...
I have tried to use HTC reset tool.
However, it is not successful.

Well, my forensic analysis has come up with the following technical and somewhat difficult solution to your present problem: "Click the search button"
Now I know it may sound intimidating, but I tested that feature out for you and came up with this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905841
matt
Shut down completely your phone (remove batter for 15 sec too)
Place battery back and now hold volume down button.
Still hold volume down button and switch on your phone.
You get 3 color screen.
Now attach your usb cable and connect it to PC
Find on this forum your phone stock win mobile rom (link to officila roms thread)
Run stock win 6.5 rom exe (this is sample name: RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_3.14.479.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe)
Follow instructions on your PC screen. On final your phone reboots.
Enjoy your stock phone.

Switch off, hold vol down button in and switch on.
As ClydeB1, states you must hold the vol down only and not hold the power button.

when you get ready to power back on you have to hold volume down and keep holding it while is booting and it should switched to the tricolored screen, plug the usb cable and it should say usb at the bottom when it connects, and if you have hardspl which I know you have after running android, you can use any custom winmo6.5 rom it doesn't have to be an official rom.
can i flash wm6.5 rom into magdlr usb flasher?
No, flash from bootloader.
awts...i cant enter into booloader mode....im so sure what im doing i sure i follow the instructions of you guys....holding down the vol button and switch on
Are you holding it at the bottom of the button and not in the middle or top, ie as if you are turning the volume down?
I don't think you can flash WM6.5 with flasher. You have to restore from recovery screen by remove battery and restore.

yeah im sure i was holding down the volume botton and switch the power on
Does the vol down button work normally in the Android rom or when moving around in magldr. To be sure, remove the battery and leave it out for 10 minutes then put the battery back, leave the cover off and try again.
I have heard of one or two users who have also had a problem where the vol down button stopped working. If that is the case there is no way back AFAIK.

volume botton is perfectly working it work around in magdlr mode actually i flashed my hd2 into android rom right now flashing is done without problems, but its not boot normarly it boot only in splash screen....
can you guys post a link of task 29...i will try this method and flash stock rom
but the main problem is i cant enter into bootloader mode
I use this tool for Task29 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917807
Once you run Task29 though it will wipe the NAND memory and magldr and if you can't get back to bootloader mode then you will be stuck on the splashscreen.
Hi,
I'm also having problems, but in my case the progress bar on my phone when installing the new ROM stops at 0% and will stay there indefinably. On my computer a connection problem will be raised.
The same happens with task29.
I've also tried decompressing ROM Utility, putted leoimg.nbh on my 2GB fat32 formatted sdcard, hold down the volume key.
I will get a new screen with "Loading..." on it, but it freezes there.
So, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
Any help will be appreciated.

Are you sure you still have hspl installed? In bootloader, check your spl version- it should end in hspl.

If you have a NAND Android ROM, you have MAGLDR installed on your device.
Just go into the MAGLDR screen and flash the WP7 ROM of your choice via USB.
If you run Android from SD card, WinMo still your core OS, you first need to install some other stuff (make sure to have a correct Radio ROM, HSPL 2.08 and finally MAGLDR).
Also, for a smooth WP7 operation, please check your SD card, if it´s one of the critical ones, you might have a bad experience.
WP7 ROM on Android 2.3 Nand
Hi, I tried gettin into MAGLDR screen by
1] removing battery and scard
2] Power on with vol down
3] it shows triband
4] I connect USB to phone and pc
5] I see USB written on Phone
6] Message on bottom status bar of phone identifying the phone
7] I run the DWI.exe on the desktop, but it just keeps on searching the phone on USB. does not proceed ahead
Please HELP

To flash from MAGLDR screen, you should not go into the standard bootloader screen (the tricolor one), but MAGLDR itself. After turning off your device, keep holding the power button, until you get the MAGLDR screen, select option 5 (flip through with volume buttons, confirm with phone button), and there you go.

You need to install MAGDLR by following the steps above to connect to your PC. Then restart your phone while holding the POWER button, which will get you into the MAGLDR options menu. Select option 5 with volume up/down and bottom left key.
thanks guys
OMG you flash it through MAGLDR, not BOOTLOADER.
First what you have to do is check whether your MAGLDR version is 1.12 or 1.13(recommended) if you want to install WP7, if not, flash it first and then enter USB Flasher in bootloader and run DWI.exe.
Thank u friends. I did it. Installed WP7. worked fine except the live services. Too much of a pain to activate live services on HD2. Not worth the efforts. Do we have key gen or a simple process? I just needed the gtalk. Have switched back to gingerbread.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Nope, there ain´t no keygen.
My own efforts actually were minimal: I sent an email to MS support, couple of hours later I had my activation code.
Look for .xap for gtalk and sideload it... I have an activation key but since there's a limit to each key on the number of activation. I'd rather have the .xap of the apps I use then like that I can use wp7 without live services... Because I know ima be switching between os's
@OP,
Please read the sticky guides in future before asking questions, there are MANY good guides on how to do everything, all you have to do is look at the sticky threads.

Hi
I installed a gingerbread nand on a test device and I now wish to revert back to Win mo 6.5 official rom.
When I run through the update utility it doesnt see the device whether I have booted android completely and then connected the usb cable or when I have booted to magldr and selected usb flasher.
Can anyone help?
Yes, As I have done mine today as I am sending back to HTC for a repair. All you need to do is to download the Windows Rom and Radio and then flash it to your phone by powering off your phone and then power your phone back up whilst holding down the volume button. Connect usb and then install the radio and then the rom and your back to windows.
Thanks,
where can I get the radio from?
If you click on this link, you will see the reply to my post. I downloaded both files and all works great. You do not use magldr to flash windows rom or Windows custom rom. All you need to do is enter bootloader by having phone off and then power up with volume button down.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=956529
Or you could go on the HTC HD2 Windows 6.5 Forum and download a custom windows rom and Radio its up to you

Hey Spendy
Hope the warranty service works out for you.
As for silentbob - Just download a Windows Mobile ROM. Since you already have HSPL on your device you don't have to re-flash that. Just put your phone in the bootloader (power off, then hold vol down and then power it on). Attach your phone via USB and run the RUU to flash the Windows Mobile ROM to your phone. That will blow away MAGLDR, NAND Android, etc.
If you're not sure where to get a ROM, then go here.
Fingers crossed they will give me a nice new shiny screen and I will be happy. The day I get it back though windows will be history and back to my Nand Android. Thanks for you help today saved me a big headache.

Reported for being in the wrong section.
Sounds like you need to reflash a stock windows rom and start again. If you dont know how to do this i suggest you read the oficial magldr thread.
All you have to do is when you reboot hold the power button down it will bring you back into magldr. Also the next time you have a question use the Q & A section.
This information can also be found in the magldr thread ill post a link for you.

Turn off your phone then hit the power button only hold it down until you see magldr. Don't hold down the volume button unless your trying to get into the boot loader.
a) Ask "questions" in the "Q&A" forum. (Common sense really).
b) Use proper titles that are descriptive of topic not something silly like "Help me!" (Also common sense).
c) Use search and read stickies before creating a topic that has obviously been discussed many times before. (Again, yes you got it common sense).
d) If you want the magldr menu, turn on phone and then press and hold power button when you see magldr and it will load up menu for you instead of booting into a kernel.
e) If you want to go into bootloader you hold down "Volume Down" after powering on untill you get the tri-color screen. You can then either flash via USB from windows or flash via SD card if you have a rom on your root of sd called "leoimg.nbh" (WM6.5 and Radio roms ONLY).
Hi Guys,
Stupid question probably, but I could not find a clear answer (you will bump me now with several links ).
I have win 6.5 on my HD2, I’am running Darkstones RAM Android build.
I want to experiment some more, but at this moment I boot my WM6.5 and then run Haret to get to Android.
What does change in this process when I install MAGDLR 1.13?
As far as I read about it , it is an additional step in the booting sequence that you can activate by holding the volume down button.
Does it mean when I do “nothing” on a reboot, my WM6.5 starts and I can still go to haret to start android and…
When I hold the volume down I can start android directly from MAGDLR (..to SD)
Thanx for some clarification

No .. IF YOU INSTALL OF MAGLDR And ClockworkMod Recovery ..
You Will NOT Have WM6.5 Anymore !
It Replaces WM6.5 .. You Will no longer be able to duel-boot WM6.5 and Android.
Install MAGLDR And ClockworkMod Recovery and android ...
When Your Phone boots .. It Will Automatically Run Android.
Thank you, that was all I needed to know.
Now I can start reading if I do this how I get back
