Remap Search Sofkey to Camera

This should work on ANY rom
This remaps a longpress on the search softkey to the camera. aka....a long press on the search softkey will pull up the camera.

And people like you are reasons why other devs dont like to help us out. Give credit, and most of the time, they allow. I used 5 diff devs stuff in my release. Got permission from all of them. They said, thanks for asking. Thats all it takes. Its called respect. And working together.
EDIT: XDA must have thought he was bad since they banned him, but he is now back again.

alright look, im not fighting for him only stating that this is a forum dedicated to doing things your told you can't, correct? i don't agree with the fact that hes not giving credit to other devs or posting links back to original files. trust me i understand how having things stolen feels. but in his defense mabey speaking with him instead of accusing might be a good idea. Apple is suing GOOGLE for stealing ideas. honestly our phones seem to have been built around stolen ideas,

It's so that anyone can adapt it however they want. I could even care less about credit, since that's the OP's choice.
And being that it's such a low level hack, all it takes is a little bit of tinkering to figure everything out.

Thanks for giving credit to decadeance. Just FYI for anyone else that might be wondering, using the work of others without giving due credit IS against the rules of XDA-Developers.
12. Using the work of others.
If you are developing something that is based on the work of another Member, you MUST first seek their permission, and you must give credit to the member whose work you used. If a dispute occurs about who developed / created a piece of work, first try to settle the matter by private message and NOT in open forum. If this fails then you may contact a moderator with clear evidence that the work was created by you.
Convincing evidence will result in copied work being removed. If there is no clear evidence you created the work then in the spirit of sharing all work will remain posted on the forums.
These rules apply to all software posted on XDA unless that software comes with a license that waives these rules.

Since this was resolved in a matter of which did not require a moderators attention then no warnings will be issued since it seems to have been an honest mistake. It is true that this is OPEN SOURCE however that does not mean that you can claim rights to another developers work. We are striving to aid others in achieving more with the community but a house divided against itself cannot stand. Work together, treat each other with respect, resolve issues/problems/differences via private messages whenever possible to keep the forum from getting out of hand and always remember to follow the rules.

Actually... the OP's account was disabled until further notice because enough compelling evidence was recently discovered to prove that he was "guilty" and because the fact that he is a repeat offender we had no choice but to take the necessary actions.

- Fasted release yet – I AM SERIOUS (getting towards the end of development until A newer leak I am afraid)
- Rougly 75% optimized
- Fixed some syntax errors in vital scripts
- Cleaned up each boot
- Fixed Permissions issues
- Cleaned up build

Isn't that the point of "OPEN SOURCE" I mean lets be honest here. No dev and I mean NO as in NONE OF THEM build an android Rom from scratch. They take from the release and build it to what they want right?? So.... what did King really do? He didn't give credit?? Funny I look through these thread and no one gives credit to Android or HTC or anyone like that. Ban them all I guess!!

Aria has been more difficult than originally thought but i sure someone will have one out soon dont give up hope

He is actually giving credit to other devs for it on his site, its a decent list so it prolly is just all of their work with one thing changed by him again.
It is not the fact he did not give credit that bugs me it is the fact that he would take someones rom change one thing then call it his own, if he really knew how to dev there would be more work on his end.

You mean like Defcons CM6 Test builds? I'm pretty sure he didnt even change anything just a straight rip from cyans github and nobody got on his ass about it. Cyanogen even helped him out a little stop hating on King just cuz it was the thing to do like 2 weeks ago every dev is using the work of others and calling it their own with a few little changes else every Rom should have the words HTC or Google in the title. Cyan changes quite a bit but in reality its just a drop in the bucket compared to the original work put into the source we're all handed and encouraged to freely modify and distribute any way we desire with or without credit given

Then why don't you get everyones work and make a rom out of it? I honestly don't think that it's easy to dev, spending hours on tedious work. He still put it together and got it running which is more than I can do alone. Is a giant Android Jesus going to come down and smite him of his deving powers? No. He puts time into it, that's all I need to know. I see roms like someone mentioned before of roms from Cyo's github and his other mods. People got crazy a while back when someone made a rom from Cyo's github for a rom that Cyo hadn't even released and he had to lock the thread...why? Because people get butthurt and think that it's "stealing" or whatever they want to call it. Every dev is different, they have their own preferences and all have different setups. Some create things for other developers to use. >:O

As I was saying king was using other people's work then, would call it his own, and he never gave credit to the work and mods done by others, had he done that he would still be here and maybe wold have finished a rom (completely).
People please stop saying we should just forget the meaning of open source... open source does not mean and is not an excuse for copying others work. Also if your defending him.. put some thought into it.

So he has fixed nothing as normal but it gos like a bat out of hell.
In other words he is using a new version on winzip
And you forgot to add the credits to the people that did the DEV work in your post!

Lag Fix - Clear the confusion lads :)

This is not intended to be mean personally, but this confusion needs to be sorted out.
1. there is a reason why mimocan's lagfix is the only fix stickied.
2. there is a reason why cyanogen has chosen supercurio's voodoo fix to be implemented with Cyanogen *A hugely famous ROM*
I think this speaks for itself. I urge people to consider the fact why are Cyanogen choosing the voodoo method to implement as their lagfix and not the one click fix.
I know not much on this technical details of all this. But logic tells me that if Cyanogen is behind supercurio then that is all that needs to be said. beta2 will be out within days, as for a public release hold tight.
Just wait and see, and donate some money for the hard work I know curio has put in.
Ryan I welcome a rebuttal on this, but you can't really argue that the team at cyanogen are incorrect in supporting the 'wrong lag fix concept'..

Well I don't think Cyanogen would have flipped a coin to decide whichfix they will use..
Give cyanogen team some credit please..

Give RyanZA some credit. He's never claimed that his solution is the only solution, or that it's the best one. It is a solution.
As for Mimocan's, I'm guessing it's stickied because he was the first person to come up with a solution.
RyanZA's fix has gained popularity IMHO because it's easy to apply.

You are missing the point of the thread then.
It is confusing for users with the fixes available. The better/safest one needs to be pointed out.
Ryan has done a great job and I praise his work and intentions.

Please be open and kind about this discussion, I apologise if the tone was set in a negative way.
The aim is just to inform the newer users that the preferenced fix is endorsed by a hugely respected dev team at cyanogen.
This forum may have alliances towards the wrong advice.
I am simply putting it out there as an external view point on this, it is important to note that for cyanogen to back the voodoo fix, this itself holds great merit in this debate. as apposed to the in fighting/tension that has been in this forum.
I do not apologise for pointing out the elephant in the room though.

cmon, the tone of your post is already a huge disrespect to RyanZa. I've been using lagfixes since Modaco Paul's nand-fix, then Mimocan, then RyanZa and now Supercurio's voodoo fix.
I have huge respect to all of them for the work and dedication they do which makes our life a little better. I'd just like to offer an observation, when RyanZa's one-click fix came out, he was being cheered and praised like a popstar. Then later when Supercurio's voodoo fix came out, some of those who cheered ryan previously quickly turn to disparaging him. What hypocrites...
I am not here to argue about the merits and demerits of each lagfix. I am not nearly knowlegable enough. But what is the "BEST" method?? there are people who are still happily using Modaco paul's nand-fix and lately there are some who has stopped using lagfixes altogether because they felt samsung's latest firmwares improved the situation for them. Should we then try to "convert" everyone to use supercurio voodoo fix just becoz some ppl feel it's the best and cyanogen team has chosen it? Cyanogen team has also chosen to use ADW launcher only. Should everyone else stop using Launcher Pro?
The point abt android systems is CHOICE. this is why i use android phone instead of Steve Job's "we know what's best for you" iphone.

Just a recap,
First there was this modaco fix by Paul, moving apps into dbdata, even zenkinz do it in another way, which is to shift all the system data into the dbdata.
Then came mimocan's fix (believe there was 2 versions: ext3 and ext4)
Next came ykk_five idea, which RyanZA had followed on, in fact there were 3 versions. version 1, version 2 and the apk. Tayutama's uses script to install the lag fixes, and Chainsfire lagfix where there is a better UI. All these are variants.
All these fixes were applied by the various people, at different times, and most, if not all gained from these fixes, be it temporary or permanent.
As the product evolve, so does the lagfixes. The beginning was using adb commands, and later evolve into one app which can be downloaded. That's how we progresses.
And at this point of time, sc's fix is an excellent way of eliminating lag, but I definitely don't believe that it is going to be the last.
Of course, YMMV.

You talk in vague term, repeating "there's a reason why..." without naming the reason you mean. You say "I think this speaks for itself". What speaks for itself? And what does it say? You haven't told us.
You're showing that you have a strong opinion for or against certain devs or solutions. You did not make this topic because you are actually asking for people to tell you which lagfix you should use. You made it because you want people to change to your point of view, or discredit you disagree with. And you do it by talking vaguely, without any relevant arguments. The only type of argument I could find was "Well, I think A is cool, and A is saying B is cool, so that must mean B is pretty cool! Guys, go for B, it's the only true path!"
Right now you sound to me like someone who wants to whine or *****, but knows he shouldn't, or who is too afraid to. I find that quite incorrect and annoying.
Please behave. Please let people make their own choices about this stuff by reading whatever they are interested in, without this weird type of drama-starting behavior.

What are the rules about posting other peoples work, i.e. ROMS and themes? Im not sure but I see over in other forums, like the EVO for example where 5 people are making ROMS using a base that they give credit to one guy for. I only ask this because over here in the D2 section, there is only 3-4 different groups working on stuff, everyone is tight lipped and not willing to let anyone in on the "secret". I see random posts where it says that the source for the base of ALL these ROMS is open, meaning ANYONE should have access, and ANYONE should be able to do as they please with them. I know that is not the case and it comes down to who you know, just like anywhere else in life, but I think the community is only being held back because we only have those select few working on new stuff....DONT get me wrong, all the devs. are doing amazing work for us D2 users, I just think we are being limited alot. I sent a pm to one dev in particular asking him to release a variant of his themes with the ApeX flip and fly out transition animations added. They are really cool and they compliment his ROMS well. I even got permission from some others to use those. I not only didnt get a response, but when I pm'd him askin why he hadnt responded, he said he never got it, (I still have it in my outbox). I just think it would be cool to have, say, a Fission Blackout ROM with the blackout Swype and android keyboard, and the cool transitions from ApeX, and only have to flash one zip in recovery. Im just sayin. Im not being ungrateful so please dont tear me apart, just puttin it out there

Hello Guys,
I'm pretty sure you are aware of the controversy between me, DesignGears& Pulser lately with my ROM (Infusion) and below is the whole truth, I'm not hiding anything anymore as you deserve the truth.
Just going to cut straight to the point.
Yes, I stole Cognition 1.13 and applied my own theme and claimed it as my own, I also stole Villain ROM 2.0 & also claimed that as my own, the situation got WAY out of hand and I have personally apologised for Pulser & DesignGears for his.
Me & Pulser are in talks to resolve the issue with my ROM & most likely it will eventually get deleted, as, honestly, I am not a ROM cooker, I'm a theme creator & wanted to show my themes potential in a ROM.
I will continue posting my themes on XDA, I just hope everybody can forgive me for what I've done, I have refunded all donations received as I do not deserve them, you should be donating to Pulser & DesignGears, I did nothing.
I have a new theme coming up with permission for use from BoyRacer and we're working on something great.
Take it easy & I'm sorry.

I'm not even going to attempt to make a ROM to be honest, let's leave that to the professionals I do have a theme coming up which I'm creating now, do you remember the Spectrum theme from the SGS1? Well, it's like that, but better

And you say your a themer, you f*****g port other peoples work. Even if you had permission that doesnt make you a themer maybe a porter.

I think you're looking at this from the wrong perspective. I AM using his theme as a basis of what my theme is going to be like, it's not going to be just copying and pasting and done, I asked for permission from the dev so I could use just a few images from his theme and he agreed and wished me luck, technically it is his theme I'm just adding to it to make it better for the SGS II. So, it's half porting, half adding to.

Good of you to man up, apologise and refund donations. Anything less would be unacceptable, as I'm sure you know...
You were in the wrong, you know it and you're doing as much as can be expected to make it right.
The many people here who will have lost any faith and trust in you is going to hurt, I reckon, but it's deserved.
Why not start again by updating the black theme that you had started on (with permission, for those who didn't know)?

Lots of potential there, some bugs need ironing out though. See that job through and get some credibility back!

I actually used the theme I ported from the SGS version just added a CM7 battery to it. Should of told you.

Interesting,I realy liked that ROM,hmmm,thanks got,I've found a replacement ROM,which is rock stable.

Regarding the thread. I'm all about sharing stuff and if someone can improve it in any way then great and I don't care for these arguments about who "burrowed" what from whom as long as the person's work is credited. In a way falsely taking credit for someone else's work is kind of a shady move but manning up and doing a full apology with disclosure of what you did kind of makes me like the OP a bit. I'm hoping it's lesson learnt and we can move on with the OP doing some great themes for the community.
