[Q] nFinityGB v0.7 can't boot ? - Click General

I just flash this ROM yesterday. It was work fine before I open the PIN Code Lock on SIM Card.
and ... I can't reboot my phone after that ...
I closed the PIN Code on SIM by Other CellPhone. But still can't use this ROM. It's so strange. but this works fine with nFinityRom 1.18 ...

I format the "System" by using ClockworkMod v3.0.0.5 , and it's more stable.

[Q] help pleeease, phone app force close

I installed MCCM GB V2.0 Gingerbread HoneyComb Sense theme [kernel tytung_r5] and for the beginning everything worked fine. But after installing some apps and rebooting, the phone app gave robotic sound and asked for force closure. I tried to reinstall, reboot several times but same problem exists. I formatted sd card with SDFormatter 2.0 completely. Still prb exists. What am I doing wrong or is this a general problem everyone having? HD2 details as follows: WM 6.5 Build 1.66, Radio 2.10.8, HSPL 2.08. I would very grateful if someone could help me out with this prb.
How did u flash your ROM ?
Did u use CWM or DFT method ?

No, I just flashed it to sd. and another problem with my phone is I cannot flash anything radio, wm custom, etc. when i start to flash anything via active sync, RUUCustom starts bootloader on the phone, shows the progress bar (bar stays at 0% always) and it stays for approx. 2-3 minutes and gives an error "connection error" and goes to recovery stage. I remeber last time I just falshed HSPL. That's it. Since that time I can't flash anything like radio, magldr etc. That's why I flashed android to sd by just copying android folder to sd and running clrcad.exe and haret.exe. I'm a novice and don't understand much. But I have general idea. If anyone can help me to sort out above problems, I would be very grateful.
Got the same problem with that build. I heard that it's caused by some sort of memory problems, Anyway I didn't found the solution.
Could be left over data from previous build, delete data of the apps that keep crashing.(Dialer, Dialer storage), reboot, try again.

[HELP]SplashMOD v0.6 Rebooting

Hello,
I'm using SplashMOD v0.6 ROM and InfinityPLAY for CM7/AOSP kernel.
It all worked well, but I've tried to OC to 791MHz CPU (and I had selected option to boot with this parameters), than phone crashed.. I've rebooted it, but it started crashing again after I insert PIN (it's because of the option that I've selected to boot with 710MHZ after reboot)...
So I've tried out another roms, like IceCreamBread™ v1.1 - (2.3.7) by mrweqa (crashed on boot), CyanogenMod-7 Nightly Builds (GWK74/2.3.7) by arco68 / HCDR.Jacob (booted fine but always kept me asking my PIN after I've inserted it) and LotusMod S 1.0 Final by kaassaus (that works all fine, but I can't find there OC options).
So I've flashed again my Wildfire with SplashMOD v0.6 ROM. Without SIM card it works well, but only when I insert my SIM and put my pincode, it reboots some seconds after it..
I've tried another kernel: nFinity 2.6.35, but its continues to reboot after pin code insertion.
Before flashing new ROM I've always done Full Wipe.
I really like using SplashMOD v0.6 ROM, so could you help me to solve this problem of rebooting after pin code insertion please?
Thank you!
Have you tried flashing a stock RUU? If not, give it a shot. it may work, it may not.

[Q] Data Connection Issues caused by amarullz data2sdext?

Hi,
for some time now, I am experiencing problems with my data connection. When I am leaving home, my phone doesnt reconnect to mobile data connection from time to time. This also happens when being in the train or so: If there is no connection available and there comes a new, my phone doesnt reconnect. Switching data off and on sometimes solves the problem but most of the time, i have to reboot. Going to airplain mode often freezes my connection totally (like airplain mode OFF is greyed out/inactive).
As this problem only happens with some installations of roms and sometimes doesnt, i did a little survey and recognized, that its only and allways happening, when i am using Amarullz Data2sdext mod. I like this mod better then data2sd mods normally implanted in Hyperdroid so i am asking, if i do something wrong:
I Have a EU Leo, CLK 1.5 cwm touch. In the last time, i used differend Hyperdroid roms like 5.8 and 5.10 (left 5.9 out) and the ICS rom by tytung (V1.5). With Hyperdroid, i did the following:
1) wipe data/factory reset
2) wipe boot/system/dalvik/sdext everything alse despite sd
3) install the rom
4) boot once without signing in to google
5) reboot to cwm, installing the recovery version of amarullzdata2sdext
6) fixing perm
7) boot
8) reboot to cwm
9) fixing perm
10) boot + signing to google etc...
11) daily use
when i flash amarullz data2sdext, the installer says, that it removes data2sd before... may there be problems resulting due to data allready moved to sd before so i can bypass them by editing the zip, removing the old skript and integrating amarullz skript? Are there other possibilities?
Also one other question: in CLK 1.5, we can choose using last 24MB of ROM... may this result in rom freezes? I think I was experiencing so.
Thanks a lot,
Cmoe

After install CM9, Sim card doesn't work

At first after installation, when it restarted for the first time, it asked me the pin code of my sim card, which is totally fine. But it went to a loop asking me the pin code when I enter the correct pin code. (Don't doubt the code, I tried to enter the wrong code and it didn't allow me). It just wanted to start the phone with the right code but then the pin code request popped up again.
And then after a few tries. I restarted the phone. Now the phone never detect my sim card anymore. It's like I haven't insterted a sim card. Only wifi works fine...
Information of "about phone":
Model no. MB525
Android Version 4.0.4
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-gb08c3c8 [email protected] #1 Fri Jun 3 11:30:33 CST 2011
CyanogenMod version: 9-20120508-NIGHTLY-jordan
What I did: It was CM7 build (version no. I can't remember)
1. Wipe data. 2. install CM9 for defy Froyo. 3. Flash CM7 Froyo kernel. 4. Clear Cache.
5. Restart (Pin code request loop) 6. Restart, no sim card detected, till now.
Thank you very much...
Just check your phone with another SIM card to be sure if it is a phone or a card itself.
And regarding your contacts: if you have them on SIM only then maybe SIM card reader would help. It is really good idea to keep them doubled in comp or google account for example. In such cases they are available even through wifi only on a device.

Hi corrinti, thanks for your reply.
My sim card works on other phone. And other sim card doesn't work on my phone now.
I don't know where my contacts stored...I only sync part of my contacts to google account. Now I can't see no contact in my phone at the moment.
I'm going to flash to CM7 again. I don't know if I can degrade or no?
I don't know what to do now? Any suggestions? My phone is not completely dead.
I'm going to flash back to CM7 is it OK? But I have flashed a CM7 froyo kernel before installing CM9. (My phone was froyo in stock but I didn't know why I should flash another froyo kernel in the first place but anyway I did it according to the instructions: CM7 (froyo) Kernel http://m.cfa.aero/misc/CM7_Kernel-signed.zip
Now am I able to use the old CM7 build: update-cm-7.1.0-11-Defy-signed.zip
Or any other suggestion that I should do?

Hi, I don't know what that fix does. But mine is a green lens defy. I can use that?
one question: have you wiped cach and dalvik cache (which is in advanced?)
If not do it.
Red lens battery fix is not suitable, I suppose, it is for CM9 for defy+ builds.
Contacts: part you stored in SIM is available, the part synced to google account is available through gmail website, the part that was in the phone only was most probably wiped by you.
I would propose to flash again all zips (kernel CM7, ICS for froyo, ICS gapps) with all proper wipes as in CM9 thread

I have flashed my phone several times, still can't detect sim card. I now want to go back to CM7 now. I tried to flash CM7 but it couldn't boot up.
So flash CM7 with gapps zip, properly wipe all, but take care if your battery is loaded enough. Or any other CM9 - you have quite big choice. Maybe zip was corrupted. Would try quarx or epsylon (I flashed them many times)
You can also try proper sbf to check if SIM card starts

Thanks corrinti. I have spent this whole afternoon fixing my phone. I flashed stock SBF. Everything works again with this flash... And now I'm flashing to CM7. I will not try CM9 in a little while.
