I just flash this ROM yesterday. It was work fine before I open the PIN Code Lock on SIM Card.
and ... I can't reboot my phone after that ...
I closed the PIN Code on SIM by Other CellPhone. But still can't use this ROM. It's so strange. but this works fine with nFinityRom 1.18 ...
I format the "System" by using ClockworkMod v3.0.0.5 , and it's more stable.
But, Still DOWN sometimes...
I've installed Faux123's [ROM] (v1.2.3_r2) Nexus AOSP Gingerbread 2.3.4, and everything works perfectly and smoothly but I keep running into one problem every time I power up my phone after recharging it (from dead battery).
When it gets to the lockscreen, it doesn't take the pin code that I have set (which is being entered correctly). So everytime this happens, I need to reboot in recovery mode and wipe out my data and reboot the phone.
Has anyone else ran into the same issue? and if so, what was your solution?
Thanks for any help in advance.
like the title says everytime that i install last oxigen and last cm7 .32, i try to turn on the wifi and the phone restarts and after i try to turn in on again and it gives to me the error.
is there a way to fix this, because if i use miui and the stock rom i can use wifi without any problems but with this two is impossible.
i have already install first a stock rom the b138 and after the cm7 or the oxigen but the final resoult is aleways the same,
help people since i can use the new rom, the .35 version, because of my touch atmel.
thank you
Check if you have imei=0...
Your only solution for that will be to use stock rom or FLB
yes, my imei is 0, but i have done the backup and i put it on the place and restat the phone and the problem continues
At first after installation, when it restarted for the first time, it asked me the pin code of my sim card, which is totally fine. But it went to a loop asking me the pin code when I enter the correct pin code. (Don't doubt the code, I tried to enter the wrong code and it didn't allow me). It just wanted to start the phone with the right code but then the pin code request popped up again.
And then after a few tries. I restarted the phone. Now the phone never detect my sim card anymore. It's like I haven't insterted a sim card. Only wifi works fine...
Information of "about phone":
Model no. MB525
Android Version 4.0.4
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-gb08c3c8 [email protected] #1 Fri Jun 3 11:30:33 CST 2011
CyanogenMod version: 9-20120508-NIGHTLY-jordan
What I did: It was CM7 build (version no. I can't remember)
1. Wipe data. 2. install CM9 for defy Froyo. 3. Flash CM7 Froyo kernel. 4. Clear Cache.
5. Restart (Pin code request loop) 6. Restart, no sim card detected, till now.
Thank you very much...
Just check your phone with another SIM card to be sure if it is a phone or a card itself.
And regarding your contacts: if you have them on SIM only then maybe SIM card reader would help. It is really good idea to keep them doubled in comp or google account for example. In such cases they are available even through wifi only on a device.

Hi corrinti, thanks for your reply.
My sim card works on other phone. And other sim card doesn't work on my phone now.
I don't know where my contacts stored...I only sync part of my contacts to google account. Now I can't see no contact in my phone at the moment.
I'm going to flash to CM7 again. I don't know if I can degrade or no?
I don't know what to do now? Any suggestions? My phone is not completely dead.
I'm going to flash back to CM7 is it OK? But I have flashed a CM7 froyo kernel before installing CM9. (My phone was froyo in stock but I didn't know why I should flash another froyo kernel in the first place but anyway I did it according to the instructions: CM7 (froyo) Kernel http://m.cfa.aero/misc/CM7_Kernel-signed.zip
Now am I able to use the old CM7 build: update-cm-7.1.0-11-Defy-signed.zip
Or any other suggestion that I should do?

Hi, I don't know what that fix does. But mine is a green lens defy. I can use that?
one question: have you wiped cach and dalvik cache (which is in advanced?)
If not do it.
Red lens battery fix is not suitable, I suppose, it is for CM9 for defy+ builds.
Contacts: part you stored in SIM is available, the part synced to google account is available through gmail website, the part that was in the phone only was most probably wiped by you.
I would propose to flash again all zips (kernel CM7, ICS for froyo, ICS gapps) with all proper wipes as in CM9 thread

I have flashed my phone several times, still can't detect sim card. I now want to go back to CM7 now. I tried to flash CM7 but it couldn't boot up.
So flash CM7 with gapps zip, properly wipe all, but take care if your battery is loaded enough. Or any other CM9 - you have quite big choice. Maybe zip was corrupted. Would try quarx or epsylon (I flashed them many times)
You can also try proper sbf to check if SIM card starts

Thanks corrinti. I have spent this whole afternoon fixing my phone. I flashed stock SBF. Everything works again with this flash... And now I'm flashing to CM7. I will not try CM9 in a little while.
Hi,
I'm trying to use Multiboot on my defy (Red lenses and GB kernel). My original rom is the latest CM9 by Quarx.
Every ROM I installed (I tried MIUI V4, XIUI and CM10, all for Defy+) I get com.android.phone FC and, I think its because of this error, i cannot find network (yes, I tried to switch my baseband to the correct one).
I tried Multiboot v0.6.1 and v0.5.1 and get the same error. I tried v0.7 with TWRP, but with this I stuck at Motorola logo.
Its the firist time i'm trying to use multiboot, I did all the steps of more than 1 tutorial and give me the same error. Anyone know something I may have missed? I'll keep trying and if I got something i'll post here.
Thanks.
did you get multiboot working?
if not, what error does it gave??
and what steps did you followed???
Basically I instaled multiboot V0.6.1, then installed Multiboot Manager Free and created an image with cache: 150Mb, data 250Mb, and system: 350Mb. Then I flashed one of the ROMs tha I mentioned.
I get it working, I can load the system, conect via wifi, navigate and etc, but after startup I get com.android.phone FC and get no signal. This happened with all the ROMs tha I've installed.
EDIT:
It seems that I could solve it, I uninstalled Multi Boot Manager and installed Vibhinna, deleted the old system image and did everything again. Now I get no errors.
Thanks.
You should also be aware that if you have a GB base ROM you should download the Defy+ versions of the ROMs you want to use in multiboot.
