Outlook Error

We're having a problem syncing your information. Try again later.
Last tried about a minute ago.
Error code: 8500201F
i've tried restarting the phone, i have tried deleting and redoing the account - i have talked to my IT team at work - no idea what is going wrong. it was working fine then this.

I think this is related to the mailbox oversize.
Try to free some space by archiving or deleting some items.

Re: Outlook Error
Please follow this process:
1. Enter your Windowslive ID in the User name box
2. Enter your password
3. In the Server box, type (m.hotmail.com) and sign in, done!
Let me know if this work for you, bye.

Is the date and time on your phone correct?

I had this issue, but also realised it had screwed over my Outlook 2010 install on my laptop. I resolved it by deleting the email received immediately after the last successful sync by using OWA. What may be relevant is this email is auto-forwarded and permanently deleted by an Outlook 2010 inbox rule. Hope that helps someone.

Mailbox size
I had this problem, sorted emails by size and archived/deleted the massive ones. Problem solved.

Old Email Messages Deleted Automatically

Hi all,
I 've got the Qtek9100, and with both the default rom it shipped with and the custom Tmobile 2.17 ROM I've had this problem. I use Gmail on my phone via pop3, and my problem is that the phone is constantly deleting my old email messages. Its not sending them to the deleted items folder, but removing them from my inbox as though they never existed. Have any of you encountered this problem or know of a way to fix this? Thanks.
I have a Cingular 8125 and I have the same problem. After I close the email its gone!
Same problem here too.
set to get first 999kB of message.. it is the only work around that i found
Loosing Emails.
I had this type of problem with SMS's and emails - basically anything with Pocket Outlook.
The solution was to Close outlook fully (not with the 'x') before soft-resetting the phone. Pocket outlook does not seen to write the new emails to it's database until the app is closed. (i.e running programs - stop program)..
Since I started closing outlook fully before soft-resetting I have not lost 1 message.

Actually, closing outlook fully does not stop email from being deleted. This happens even when I don't soft reset the phone. I'll try getting the first 999kb of a message, though I worry that this could fill my phone quickly if I don't pay attention. Also, I don't have this problem with SMS messages.
I figured it out.
Under Tools -> options in Pocket Outlook is an option to "Display messages from last x days only." I've unchecked that, so here's hoping that takes care of the problem. Hope it helps everyone else who had this problem.

I had this unchecked already, and I still have the same problems.
Any other ideas?
Here si the fix on the HTC and disappearing emails
1 start/message/click email account/menu/tools/options/tap email account/edit account setup/next/next/next/next/next/download message 3 pls days/advance setting/keep them on server/next/ finish
Do this for all accounts
Now go to your computer and outlook tools/email accounts/view or change email account/next/change/ more settings/advanced/leave copy on server/ how many days is up to you
You must do this for all you accounts on that computer. then do the same to all the computer you use to get the same e-mails.

push gmail problems?

Hi!
I was trying to use push gmail but I only got an error
0x8600050c
I can sync contacts and calendar, but no emails, if I check the email, then i got that error.
Someone else is in the same situation?
Same error here... Anyone got solutions?
I've reset the phone, input the settings multiple times (I'm sure they're correct), checked that my carriers default internet access isn't set via proxy, turned off/on POP on my Gmail settings....
A couple of pointers to look out for:
-You want to make sure you're only trying to sync Calendar, Contacts & Email. DON'T try and sync Tasks or Texts cos they don't work (yet hopefully).
-Make sure the username you're using is <myname>@gmail.com not @googlemail.com like the tutorial used to say.
-If it stops syncing after a few weeks of use. Sometimes you just have to do a manual sync by going into connection manager and hitting the Sync button and sometimes the only way to solve it seems to be just delete the whole Exchange profile for googlesync and set it up again from scratch.
Hope one of these is going to solve your problem cos I'm all out of ideas. Works fine on my WinMo6.5 device.
Yup, I was aware of both the @gmail and restriction to Cal/Contacts/Email, neither of those are my problem.
Mine is syncing using @googlemail.com but it does not work when doing send/receive for my folders which is annoying as I don't want to keep on syncing hundred's of folders each time I get a new mail.
also youc ant have a "/" in any of your gmail labels (which are often autmoatically created when you imap your gmail on your desktop i.e. Inbox/ebay Inbox/work etc
Same problem here...
I have the same problem and the same error code.
Tried to sync my phone for the first time yesterday and spent the better part of the night troubleshooting why I was getting the 0x8600050c error code... Tried all the possible fixes including making sure Tasks are deselected, Syncing only Contacts & Calendar, no '/'s in labels etc....
However, now I realise that after browsing the google help forums that a lot of people seem to be having this problem in the last 24-32 hours. Quite a few recent messages have been posted on this.
It seems like Google Sync push has been erratic ever since it was released. They fixed the problems in the middle, but it seems that they are back now. You would hope that a firm with the resources like Google would atleast put a status page updating users of outages...
If someone figures out a solution to this problem please post...!
Phone: HTC Touch Pro2
OS: Winmo 6.5
Carrier: Vodafone UK
Same problem for me here!
I'm sorry (I'm not rubbing it in honest ) but my GMail has been working perfectly for the last couple of weeks. So maybe it's just newly set up accounts?
For those that have gmail working via activesync, how quick is it? when a message arrives on your desktop how much later does it take to arrive on your phone. I am seeing some delayed responses and having moved from Blackberry back to WM its not good.
I have it running over HSDPA (3G) with exchange server and it arrives on my phone before it gets to my desktop pc.

I know its been done and said, but would you mind doing a checklist on what settings you have got working for you?
On Gmail do you have POP3 enabled and IMAP enable or one on and the other off.
i've been having the same issue - calendar and contacts fine, but i can't sync mail.
i know it isn't the settings / labels issues mentioned here as I have it syncing fine on my kaiser...
Hmm. OK think we got crossed wires there. I thougth we were talking about GMail syncing in general. I was talking about my Tinity. Now I have the HD2 setup, it's not working for mail ether.
Same as everyone else, I have contacts and calendar working but no mail. It will get the mail if I set it up as a normal mail account but not with the syncing push type exchange account I can't see any errors, it's just not getting the mail
The thing is I get my mail, but just slow. I am not syncing contacts or anything else.
Sympathize with you Chimpsinties
@Chimpsinties: Welcome to club miserables! No response from Google or anybody else till now....

Found a hash in one of my labels, deleted it resynced and it seems things are moving ok. Let see how it goes

hmmm. no hashes in any labels (i never imported / synced) from outlook. but still no joy...
same problem on my td2.
syncing of calendar and contacts works fine. but no mail.
funny thing is when i set it up the last weekend it all worked perfectly for about two days and suddenly error 0x8600050c.
i played arond a lot with googleapps after the setup and i thought this might be the reason it s not working any more.
so here is a list of things i tried to get it working again, well, still without success:
- looked for hashes in my labels (never had any though)
- deleted all labels
- change language from german to english and back
- deleted the tasks from my tasklist in gmail/calendar
- changed my password to alphabetical characters only
- registered a new gmail account without any changes
- changed the mail folder of gmail in wdmc that should be synced
some things that surely wouldnt help since it seems to be a google issue but i was desperate
- reinstalled wmdc
- flashed different roms
but damn it s still not working again. *sigh* gotta switch to windows-live if they dont get this fixed.
Hmm I think the problem with the gmail sync makes the rom of the hd2 itself because I also have a Touch Pro 2 and a Toshiba TG01 and on both of them its working fine so I try to import the active sync files and if it will work after that I´ll tell you!

Tattoo and Microsoft Exchange Server

All,
I'm sure, that this question is easy to answer for most of you:
Does the Tattoo supports an Exchange account? I have read that it is not supported (only over third party apps)
Please help me out on that!
Thanks a lot in advance,
Asterix
A friend told me that it does support MS Exchange.
He is using it.
But he sad that he just can't download attachments so he has to send those emails to his gmail account and then to download them.
The Mail app allows you to add an MS Exchance account. But it has NEVER worked for my email account. It might work for yours... who knows... But the Tattoo does support Exchange server.
It does work, but there is an issue.
I have access to my work email (via Exchange Server and the Mail app) and it was very easy to set-up. It works really well, the app is quite nice. It will do things like listing your emails by conversation.
However, I can only read emails. I can't send emails.
This is a bug in Android. Not sure whether it is being fixed in 2.1. I do think you can get it to work though if you have help from your IT team. I have read that they can change some of the security permissions on the Exchange server (ie exclude you from certain protocols). I haven't tried it though.

works great
Hi Guys, I was having the same problem with not being able to send mails and download attachments, even the mails which were longer, wouldn't load fully.
I requested the company's IT team to take a look at it and they changed some settings as Admins on the exchange server to get it working (I believe Android does not provide remote-wipe/ pin-password lock feature to be enforced, they had to bypass the check for me)
Hope it helps.
I had the problem of emails not sending when I set my son's Tattoo up.
I then accessed remote.xxx.com (where xxx is my domain name) and got an error, I tried again and it said the certificate was invalid, once I accepted it it let me in. I tried to access the Internal web site and got the cert error again. I accepted the cert again and just got a blank page.
I exited and have since been able to send emails without a problem.
I believe it's a certificate problem but mine has somehow resolved itself.

Interesting.
Sadly, tried it and didn't seem to work for me. It just kept defaulting to our corporate webmail server. I had heard it was a certificate problem too, but also the remote wipe etc needed in the security settings on the server.
Great that you've got it working though.

no problem
Hi!
Thanks for all the answers. I got my Tattoo now, setting up the exchange account was no problem at all, everything working fine. Some parts are a little bit not as fine as I'm used from my WM phones in the past. (times to set up when it should get the mails, which folder should get synchronized,..)
Thanks,
Stefan
I spoke to soon.
My son's phone keeps on saying it can't send - so I received 10 copies of the same email until I deleted it from the outbox.
There is a definite problem - has anyone found a solution?

ActiveSync / WMDC error 0x85010014: my solution

I've been trying to solve this error (0x85010014) and tried each and every proposed solution that I could find in Google and here in xda-developers. Re-create computer-phone partnership, hard reset the phone, repair Outlook, uninstall and re-install Outlook... and none of them worked. The phone connects to the PC without trouble, either by cable or by bluetooth, but cannot sync, and every sync attempt ends with error 0x85010014.
But I finally have found a solution that works; at least for me. So I'm posting here just in case others can benefit from this solution.
Conditions: Windows 7 installed from an upgrade (I know, I shouldn't have done that), Outlook 2007, HTC TyTN II, no Exchange server.
First, and this is common to other solutions, backup your Outlook database. Now close Outlook.
2: delete partnership on your computer and on the phone.
3: Find the mail setup (it's slightly different in XP, Vista and 7). In Windows 7 go to Control Panel, User Accounts, Mail.
4: In the Mail Setup dialog box, click Show Profiles.
5: Add a new profile and make it default for Outlook. This is the key point because, at least in my case, the defective item was the profile, and this is not repaired by SCANPST, nor detected by the repair Outlook option. Even when you uninstall and re-install Outlook, or you delete the Outlook database, it respects your previous profile, so the error remains there, untouched.
6: Delete the older profile.
7: Now when you open Outlook, import your backup database (you did the backup, didn't you?).
8: Connect your phone, create a new partnership and everything should work now. Note: If you try to sync without deleting the old partnerships (I did try this) you will receive an error indicating that the sync profile doesn't exist.
I hope this helps other people who might face this obscure error. I've been helped many times by the solutions posted in this forum so I'm now giving my 2 cents in return.
Thanks.
ActiveSync Error #0x85010014
After having the same error come up, and my failure to correct it on my own, I called Verizon tech support. All they suggested did not correct the issue. With the tech on line I did a Google search for this error and found quite a few responses that were years old.
Yours, however, was not only more currently dated but it pertained to my exact situation having Win 7. The tech and I agreed that this was something to try, which I did.
Very happy to say, by following your step by step suggestion, the issue is resolved
Thank you very much for your input!
The error may be a result of the PST corruption which needs to be solved immediately for the proper working of Outlook. PST corruption leads to major problems in Outlook and results in inaccessible files or data which can be solves with the help of scanpst repair tool. you can solve the error with the help of this repair tool and enjoy error free working over outlook.
telecharger scanpst pst file (Download scanpst.exe)

[Q] Outlook setup in HD2 witn Windows 7.5

Hi,
I am using HTC HD2 with XBmod-Yuki Build 8107.
i want to setup Outlook on my phone but its giving me the following error
"There is a problem with the certificate. Error code: 80072F0D"
I downloaded the Root CA certificate from my PC and installed it on the phone but the error persists.
Can anyone help?
Regards,
On every ROM for my HD2, I have to install 2 certificates from my Exchange Server. I forward them to my Hotmail Account and installed them, after this everything works fine.

which 2 certificates? I installed the Root Certificate from my company exchange account . The other one?
Regards,
I have two, one is from the Certificate Server (Root CA) and the second one is for my Exchange.. I dont know how to explain..
i never tried exchange server . can anyoen shed somelight to me ?
still struggling with Outlook Exchange setup... funnily it connected once, downloaded a number of emails and then went back to the same error.
Can't figure out what went right for a brief period before going wrong again
Help please.
regards,
I never had any issues until Ultrafruit came alone, what I find now is that whilst I get the error is does actually download and sync with exchange, bit of a pain but it works, on the initial setup, tell it to download everything, then when it fails roll back the sync to only the last 7-14 days
Exchange can also fail if...
A your time zone and date isn't setup correctly
B you have a corrupt email in your inbox ( it will look ok, and will display fine but something in it is broken that you cant see)
C you have a email in your inbox with a HUGE attachment
D Cert errors, although as I said, mine was working with Xbmods rom

Hi thanks for the info, but i have none of the 4 issues u mentioned above but still can't connect to exchange.
Its possibly a problem with HD2/HD7 and Microsoft Outlook

The error is very much a certificate error, im not 100% sure but i don't think its just a case of getting the cert off the exchange, you need the Root cert to who issued that cert.
basically there needs to be a trusted chain of authority and WP is having a fit because it cant see that chain,,,,
i think
