ok so i want to know if i were to flash android after using wp7, would all the data still be there when i flash back to wp7?
because from what i know wp7 saves data to the sd card. would i have to unlock again and all that other mumbo jumbo.

Just did this lastnight and nothing happened to WP7. Infact Android failed to flash to nand so I'd say no.
Might as well wait until MAGLDR 1.13 dual boot may be included

You will need to unlock again etc because the unlock affects data on nand not your SD card.

It failed because you did something wrong. I have flashed WP7 and Android to NAND multiple times without problem.

You can dual boot WP7 and Android already. You simply have to partition your card correctly.
Check teh SD forum stickies for the partitioning guide, its really easy.
I'm currently booting WP7 from NAND and Android from SD.

yea i thought it could be the sd card too, but i tried to boot android from a different sd card,no luck. I will read up on how to do a nand rom and hopefully figure it out.
Google "SD Card Formatter" and then use FULL format with ERASE ON.
format
thanks i downloaded a panasonic sd card formater did a full full erase with it checked to "ON" it was reformatted but it said the device does not support Flash Erase.... im gonna try it out now
DUDE U ROCK MAN THAT DID IT THANK U SP MUCH!!!!!!!
I know this has been asked but i couldnt find the answer. I have Cope's gingerbread CM7 i booted the first time and it worked fine then i rebooted again and it just didn't pass the green htc screen. i waited 15 mins. what should i do? Delete and reinstall? format sd card? help please and thank u
I've seen a couple of things cause this...
1) The SD card may need reformatting... Of course (should go without saying), backup whatever you have on it first.
2) Pull the battery and try booting again.
3) If you're using CWM be sure you're using the 150MB partition setup for MDJs CM7 ROM.

CWM = Clockwork Mod which is used for flashing and backing up NAND roms. N/A to you as you are using an sd build.
As was suggested above, your best bet is to format your sd card and start again. Ensure you have a .50 radio - 2.07.50 or above IIRC

Well, its a time for you to use NAND builds. No more HARET and CLRCAD with WM 6.5
Do you know how to do that?

Do you have the correct radio version? IIRC for sd Android builds you need 2.07.50.xx or higher .50 radio.

I also experience that way. What I did was try to flash task 29, flash magldr 1.13, flash CWM (be carefull that each rom require different partition lay out) and flash the Nandroid roms.
Good luck

except the op wants android and winmo, so no magldr/cwm
OP - try upgrading your radio, the stock one probably isn't high enough version to run android, which requires a ..50.. radio, and (unless you have a tmous) you may have a stock ..51.. radio now.
ive formatted my sd card but its not going into android .
ive got radio 2.15.50.14 is that the right radio to have ?

And you are sure you reflashed your HSPL? once you reflashed WinMo, it eliminated your ability to start Android. Make sure you flash to current HSPL or you won't boot. Also make sure your bootloader or Android build is running CLRCAD.exe before it starts HARET.

You don't need HSPL to boot from SD card using haret. All you need is WM and a .50 radio.

Try going into your Android folder in Windows Mobile by using File Explorer, and deleting your data.img, or moving it to a separate folder on your SD card. This will erase any data you had under Android before, but at least it should boot, the 1st boot should take a bit longer than usual, because a new data.img will be creataed. If this doesn't work, you'll have to download and install a new build.

thank you tryin it now.....
and thankyou to the rest of you guys for helping me , hope this works
edit*** nope still not loading , f**k knows why . cant think why it wont load , must be missing something,
i'll try a different rom and see if that works
what also can be a problem is that when you mobile is creating a data.img there isn't enough memory on your SD for the data.img, then it will get stuck on HTC logo

Did you do format to fat 32 with a full wipe? Our did you just do quick format? Do the full one. Or your d/l could be corrupted.

No.. as long as you perform a task29 once in a while then you should be fine.. Just don't loose the Key for WP7 if you have one..
I switch around all the time
I know to do this we can boot into MAGLDR and install the Nand Android Rom. However is that all there is to it or do I have to reformat the sd card first? If so how do we do this? Thanks.
Hello everybody,
I can't seem to find an answer to this, though it seems to be a rather basic question.
Is it possible to run two different Android roms on one HD2?
I am currently running Hyperdroid cm7 (Clk-version) and would like to try either a MIUI Rom or a beta-ICS SD-Version, anyone know if and how this would be possible?
Thanks in advance, JW
sure is, through magldr, choose boot ad sd to boot to sd android, or boot ad nand to boot to nand. then, in magldr - services, you can set which you preffer to auto boot, or you can set it to always show the magldr menu and let you decide which to boot.
Thanks for the answer, though I'm not sure I'm willing to go back to Magldr, i like being able to charge my phone while its off.
Thank you though
and just how often is your phone off? mine hasnt been off for, oh, 18 months,,,
You are right on that one, but when I was used Magldr I used to be paranoid about my battery dying since I would have to somehow turn my phone on so it can charge (I am not sure if that would even be a problem, but I feel safe now ) - hope you understand what I mean - in my head it kinda makes sense^^
hehe, in teh event of a dead battery, an old usb cable with teh end cut off, red and black wires bared and held to the battery + and - for 60 seconds will give the battery enough juice to start booting and charging starts halfway thru booting.

Did you boot into MAGLDR, select AD SD Dir then boot into AD SD? If not, try booting into MAGLDR then selecting boot AD SD, should work

Yes, just go into bootsettings in Services (in MAGLDR) then select AD SD.

I was running WP7 and SD AS for long time and wanted to try NAND but when I tried to boot from SD again it would boot loop NAND boot screen. I flashed WP7 back to NAND and SD works, so I think there is something in the boot partition to allow for SD boot in WP7 build and not in the NAND since most of them use SD-EXT.
I also want to try out ICS, but need easy access to my daily SD (ACA)
I had the same problem. I learned only few Kernels are able to boot SD Builds via Magldr, as described in following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1375554
I changed to a different Kernel that actually worked for me. But now I stuck at another problem. I wanted to apply a glitch fix but it seems that broke my SD AD .

War_child,
Which kernel should be changed then, i'm little confused. The NAND or SD. This might be a dead end since I would like to try ICS on NAND instead of WP7
You have to change the Kernel in SD Android

Hmm, so the SD kernel boots fine when WP7 is in NAND but the same kernel doesn't when Android is in NAND. Interesting

Seems like the other Kernels are scanning NAND for Android and only if nothing is found they boot from SD. But I'm no dev so it's just a guess
