No.. as long as you perform a task29 once in a while then you should be fine.. Just don't loose the Key for WP7 if you have one..
I switch around all the time

I know to do this we can boot into MAGLDR and install the Nand Android Rom. However is that all there is to it or do I have to reformat the sd card first? If so how do we do this? Thanks.

Flash NAND from SD

Hi
Me and i know a lot of you out there have got a big problem on our phone, and broken the usb port. So no flashing ROM from USB sync :S.
I'm hoping that Cedesmith's CLK NAND loader + CWM flashed from an .nbh using the sdcard method will be the solution we are looking for.
Hope some of the great devs out there think of a way for us to flash NAND or even WM7.
Just get the port fixed?!
PS. There is no such thing as "WM7".

Get your port fixed, or If you can try to flash cwm recovery.

Dude once again with fixing the port... If that was an option i would be asking for a .nhg so i could format the phone. I've got MAGLDR installed using the SD card now, and i know about cwm, i want a way to partion the phone from the SD for Android or WP7. If i knew how to do that i would be asking...
Thanks a lot
same here
Hi,
My USB is also broken. This is somehow not covered by warranty. Repairservice wants to charge me for 536€ and Amazon sells the HD2 already for 499€.
I cannot afford a new one nor the repair.
Beeing able to flash everything including HSPL and MAGLDR from SD-Card.
I would be very greatful for that option as the standard software provided from HTC is very disappointing with all the great options for the HD2 out there.
Best Regards,
Joe

Well you're wrong!
There is no "Windows Mobile 7" The OS you are referring to is called "Windows Phone 7" and its a completley new OS and nothing to do with windows mobile, hence it doesnt run any of WM programs.
i have a question in regards to the clockwork mod recovery now on hd2, I have installed magldr1.13 thats fine, i have also flashed the clcokwork recovery as well.
I am totally lost as to how you are supposed to be able to flash rom zips from clockwork instead of nand flashing. I know how to nand flash, and I also know how to use clockwork on regular android o.s systems , but im lost as to what this clockwork recovery works with nand roms and regular zip or z7 roms.
If I flash a regular nand rom like i have, and then get into clockwork and try to install a rom from clockwork it messses up?
Are the cockwork roms for the hd2 specific as in zip format or can you intall a nand rom from clockwork it seems people have merged some nand roms with sd .
Any insight or guide would help.

Yessss. Please make a way to flash new partitions with sdcard. I have a USB port with a broken contact between the mainboard and the USB port that can't be fixed.

Just did this lastnight and nothing happened to WP7. Infact Android failed to flash to nand so I'd say no.
Might as well wait until MAGLDR 1.13 dual boot may be included

You will need to unlock again etc because the unlock affects data on nand not your SD card.

It failed because you did something wrong. I have flashed WP7 and Android to NAND multiple times without problem.

You can dual boot WP7 and Android already. You simply have to partition your card correctly.
Check teh SD forum stickies for the partitioning guide, its really easy.
I'm currently booting WP7 from NAND and Android from SD.

The same way you flashed WP7. That is, of course, the Android ROM you want is USB flashable. If it is a Zip, you need to follow the instruction for flashing from an SD card. Android ROMs that flash from a card (CWM) will have instructions. And there are a few ROM that flash both ways; from USB or card.
here you go! think backwards... how did you install WMP7??? and how did you first install NANDroid??? then theres your answers!... good luck
All you have to do is Task29 from bootloader then re-install MAGLDR then follow the instructions from the Android Build you choose

[Q] How to install Winmob + Android (SD) 1 MAGLDR??

Hi,
I hope this question will not touch your nerves...
I already can flash Winmo or Android (SD or NAND). I Know how MGLDR and CWM are working. Now I wanted to install WinMo 6.5 AND android on SD, and keep the MAGLDR as bootloader. But, if I flash a WINMO rom, then I loose MAGLDR, and if I install MAGLDR after the winmo, i get Win no booting anymore.
How can I do? Thanks!
i think it's not possible.

Not possible, MAGLDR completely replaces WinMo and vice versa. Although, you could flash WP7 from MAGLDR and have Android SD if you wanted Or, if you wanted to keep WM6.5 surely the logical thing to do would be to run WM6.5 and an SD Android build? MAGLDR serves no functionality with an SD build of Android
Thanks both!
Yeah i realized it's not possible. I would like to have he best way to boot android (mounted on SD) without struggle woth windows each time. I want to keep the 6.5. At the moment i'm trying rundroid out, any better suggestion?

Nah RunDroid was the best for me when I used SD Android
As for the skipping WinMo part, if you never want to use it again why not flash NAND Android?
i agree, i don't understand why people ever want to run WM on their HTC HD2, android is way better in my opinion.

I agree, I was die-hard WinMo when Android first started working on SD and I only played with it as a hobby. Now I haven't used WinMo since earlier this year and will never go back. Team Blue Droid on Nand and ICS on SD is my way to go now.

HELP! Hard reset

I have [DFT] MAGLDR 1.13 installed on my HD2 and the AD Hardreset function does not work.
I tried using the hardware key to hard reset the phone, it did not work as well.
I am trying to get rid of this install so that I can install other custom roms onto the SD card instead.
Can someone please tell me how I can get rid of my [DFT]MAGLDR 1.13 installed on the phone?
Thanks so much.
doing a hard reset will not set you back to windows and original install you need to flash back to stock windows for that

I don't need it to flash back to original windows, just want to get rid of the current Android stock on the memory and flash to something else.

Will I be able to use task29 and then install other custom Android rom?
Will want to install new custom ROM on the SD card instead of NAND.
Thanks
Then just flash a stock Windows Mobile ROM and go from there with your SD Android.
Get a dual boot application that will ask you every time what you want to boot.
Just curious, why do you want to go back to SD Android?

Task29 removes everything from nand. So you can flash any other NAND rom. Clk Or magldr.

You can't run the system from SD and install to the phone. SD android doesn't touch the nand in any way.

Oh. So I still have to have a stock firmware on the NAND.
If that is the case I will just flash it to a latest NAND Android.
Thanks everyone for the help.

well not quite, you could have android on nand and another android on sd, or wp7 on nand and android on sd.

Try to do adrecovery and factory reset, so you can flash another rom, I just did that now switching to another rom =P

It would be really nice for your not to post stupid questions. I told him to go back to winmo to see if everything is working. Flashing from winmo is easier then from this "unknown" state. I think he got all help he needed.Ad recovery and factory reset wont help him much.
