Has anyone attempted to flash WP7 on their HD2 with a MAGLDR version other than 1.12?
I've been reading around the boards that MAGLDR is the cause of some of the battery issues. I'm wondering if MAGLDR 1.11 or 1.10 would be sufficient to flash it, or if 1.12 is absolutely required.

can't use 1.11 or 1.10 as in it doesn't have the option to load up WM7.
only 1.12 does.

I want to install Windows Phone 7 successfully on my HD2. I have been reading through these forums for about an hour now, and I cannot seem to find a consistent answer if my phone is compatible or not.
I have:
HTC HD2 by T-Mobile with 1024 Flash Memory. Model #: T-Mobile_LEO
Some threads are saying that I need HSPL2, some are saying HSPL3 works also. And one of them is saying that the models with 1024 Flash memory isn't compatible at all.
So can someone direct me to the right thread that can let me install Windows Phone 7.
I have not done any flashing, or modding to my device yet.
As you can read here the WP7 rom is compatible with all HD2 devices (512 and 1024mb): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953078
You need to flash Hard SPL 2.08 with HSPL4 and then install MAGLDR 1.13 and after that you can flash the WP7 rom.
Its important that you use a 2.15 radio rom so you have to flash it before.
So:
1. HSPL4
2. Radio Rom 2.15
3. MAGLDR 1.13
4. WP7 rom
Just read the threads here for more information.
Sorry that I am new to all this, but I did a HardSPL 2.08 through HSPL4, and I updated the Radio ROM to 2.15, and installed MAGLDR 1.13. Now when I start my phone I get to a black screen with 12 options. Is this normal? I did read that MAGLDR has these options, but how do I boot onto my WP6.5, or is that OS now gone? And how do I proceed to installing WP7 on my HD2?
EDIT: I figured it out. Thanks for all the help! Working Windows Phone 7 finally .
I have 448mb ram on my htc hd2 and I heard that it actually has 576mb of ram but it is not activated. I need 576mb of ram in order to install MAGLDR.
so can someone please help and tell me how to activate the 576MB of RAM
thanks in advance
Installed software on phone:
ROM: 3.14.405.2 (04666) WWE
RADIO: 2.15.50.14
HSPL: 3.03.0000
I need 576mb of ram in order to install MAGLDR

Not correct.
Magldr will activate the ram for you, you don't need to activate it in advance, and indeed if you did activate it (tmous based rom plus 2.08.50 radio or higher) then flashing magldr will remove the rom that activated it in the first place.
So long as you have a correct radio (2.08.50.x or higher) then magldr will work and the ram unlocked. Without the correct radio magldr wont start till you have flashed correct radio.
I have 3.14 rom and radio 2.15.50 would that work???
Where can I download tmous based rom plus 2.08.50 radio or higher???

The radio you have will work, just flash MAGLDR and then flash CWM (look in the ROM thread foe CWM portition size) and then flash your ROM. Click the guide linked in my sig for more assistance, look for the two complete how to install Android guides I have linked at the top of my guide.

i think it is normal for the device to get stuck on the htc splash screen after installing magldr...
this is because magldr is just a LOADER...your device still needs a ROM (which was removed when you install magldr)...after flashing magldr, you need to boot into magldr (turn on device and keep holding down the power on button until magldr appears). then, you need to go to the section in magldr for flashing a magldr compatible ROM. just read the stickies, you will find a guide in there that describes ALL of these steps in much more detail.

No MAGLDR is the ROM on the HD2 until it has a Android or WP7 ROM to boot. So until you give MAGLDR a ROM to flash your HD2 will boot straight into the MAGLDR menu and that is it. The OP is saying that MAGLDR is not even booting up.
At the OP if you have a 2.15.50.xx radio and HSPL 2.08 on your HD2 you should not be having a problem. But like Canontroutman said if you do not have HSPL 2.08 then this is probably your problem. I was under the impression though that if you did not have HSPL 2.08 that MAGLDR would not flash. Which now that I think about it sounds like what is happening to the OP. I just thought you would get a error message from the RUU.
Hi there!
I've tried to flash WP7 to my HTC HD2 by using the correct method which includes Hard SPL 2.08, Radio 2.15.50 and Magldr 1.13. It all goes well until I have succesfully flashed WP7 (according to MAGDLR) and my phone reboots itself. After the reboot it starts up in MAGDLR with the text that it will load WPH and it does so, but after that, I get a black screen with HTC in the middle. After this state, is doesn't do anything. It should be starting up WP7, but it doesn't. I've read some articles about using Task29. I used Task29 and installed MAGDLR and WP7 again but it has the same problem. Just a minute ago I read that it might be my SD-card (that WP7 won't accept it).
What do I have to do?
Thanks in advance!
Quick Update:
I got it working now. It seems MAGLDR 1.13 was the problem. Using MAGLDR 1.12 worked for me.
I just wiped my stock ROM HD2 (Task29) because I want to install MIUI on it. After the wipe I installed MAGLDR on it (v1.13) but when I rebooted the HD2, I was greeted with the white HTC screen. I hadn't checked my HSPL version and it turned out to be 3.03. So I downgraded to SPL-2.08.HSPL and retried installing MAGLDR. But after reboot, I still get the white HTC screen.
So what am I doing wrong?
Which radio are you on?
If I remember correctly, MAGLDR requires a radio 2.08 and above. Try to flash radio 2.15 and see what happens.

Yes, that was it.
I thought I had 2.15 installed but that was on my other HD2 (I have two). Turned out this one had 2.07. Flashed 2.15 and I was able to install MAGLDR without a hitch!
