[Q] Flashing WP7 problem - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting an

Hi there!
I've tried to flash WP7 to my HTC HD2 by using the correct method which includes Hard SPL 2.08, Radio 2.15.50 and Magldr 1.13. It all goes well until I have succesfully flashed WP7 (according to MAGDLR) and my phone reboots itself. After the reboot it starts up in MAGDLR with the text that it will load WPH and it does so, but after that, I get a black screen with HTC in the middle. After this state, is doesn't do anything. It should be starting up WP7, but it doesn't. I've read some articles about using Task29. I used Task29 and installed MAGDLR and WP7 again but it has the same problem. Just a minute ago I read that it might be my SD-card (that WP7 won't accept it).
What do I have to do?
Thanks in advance!

Quick Update:
I got it working now. It seems MAGLDR 1.13 was the problem. Using MAGLDR 1.12 worked for me.

[Solved] Problem flashing Android on HD2

Hey guys,
currently I´m trying to flash Android NAND on a HD2.
Apparently there are some problems with the bootloader.
I tried two different ways, which are explained in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905060
First I tried to install MAGLDR 1.13. Here is the problem that MAGLDR 1.13 seems not to be properly installed because the phone wont boot in the MAGLDR bootloader. It just hangs at the green/white HTC bootscreen.
As second method I tried to flash cLK 1.4. Here the bootloader seems to be installed properly but it´s not possible to install the ClockworkMod Recovery. Every time I start the batch file it hangs on "waiting for device".
Since I tried some things I only can boot into the bootloader and no longer load Windows.
I´ve installed the latest radio (Radio Leo 2.15.50.14) and HSPL (3.03).
Any ideas what I can do know?
when you install magldr it wipes windows off the deivce, you are aware of that?
when you start the device with magldr you need to hold the power off button til you get the menu up then you can use the usb flasher if it is a daf installer or you need to install CWM recovery and install a rom that way
either way windows will no longer be on your device
Yeah I know this. But the problem is that the magldr bootloader is not booting. It hangs on the white HTC screen. Without any other reaction.

what version of android did you install? you need HSPL 2.08 or it will not work anways
if all you done was install magldr without install anything else it will do exactly as you have described because there is nothing for it to load up
I think you misunderstood me
Normally if magldr was installed correctly I should see a screen like this (http://www.xda-developers.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/MAGLDR-boot-menu.jpg), when I boot with hold power button+left arrow key.
But when I press this combination it does not boot to this screen. It just does nothing. And this is why I can´t proceed with any instruction, because I need a working magldr.

I'm new to all this too so bare with me.
I think you may have installed the wrong HSPL. This is from the HSPL thread.
Android / WP7 / MAGLDR don't support HSPL3.03/OSPL3.03.
You need HSPL2.08 to run Android / WP7 / MAGLDR
When you installed HSPL you chose the wrong option. Someone more knowlegable will hopefully come along and tell you how to fix it.
After destroying and downgrading of HSPL with an original HTC Win Rom I could install a new HSPL again...
Don´t ask me how I´ve done this, but it worked
So thanks to all!

HD2 suddenly won't boot anymore, stuck in MAGLDR

Hey guys,
I use a android ROM for a couple of months. Last month it was a bit buggy, freezes suddenly but a restart fixed the problem. Today I had the same problem, but a restart gets me stuck in MAGLDR. I only get the title screen info on top.
I performed task29 and installed magldr again. Same problem, not able to get in the menu screen to flash a new rom.
What to do? Is my device bricked?
Just performed task 29 again, flash 2.15 radio and tried to flash with artemis rom. Get stuck on white HTC screen and it loops over en over.
What to do?!
Did you try reflashing the ROM?
I've tried to flash with artemis and I can't flash via magldr cause I get stuck on the title screen. There are no options on magldr, and yes I hold my powerbutton down.
Help is appreciated!
YES!
It boots on stock rom and everything is working fine. Can I install hspl 2.08 + mgldr again to flash an android rom? Or do I have to stuck with winmo?
I would try an SD ROM first just to see if Android will function.
Not sure if this will help. Sounds like the same issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=915839
everything is ok, sorry for opening a thread so soon but I was worried death.
For al people who have the same and read this tread:
-Performed task29
-Installed STOCK rom
-Performed task 29 again
-Installed radio 2.15
-Installed HSPL 2.08
-Installed MAGLDR
-Installed CWM
-Flashed android rom (on NAND)
Working like a charm!
I'm having the same problem... freeze when reading a message. Pulled out battery, starting HD2 and stuck on MAGLDR 1.13 forever.
Isn't this a MAGLDR issue ?

[Q] MAGLDR does not start, and stucks the device

Hi guys. Thanks everyone for the wonderful work you all do.
Today I wanted to try for the first time to flash some NAND stuff.
I installed cLK, then I thought it would have been better MAGLDR so i tried to install it just after cLK.
After the installation, the phone just does not show the MAGLDR boot screen. It stucks at the HTC green logo (of course i keep the power button pressed). The previous working WM rom does not boot.
The only solution i found, is to flash again a wimo rom through ruu_update, from the bootloader (i have hspl4), then I can begin again but MAGLDR will anyway not install properly.
Do you have any suggestion? Thanks.
Sounds like yet another case of not having both spl 2.08.hspl AND an android compatible radio. (2.15.50 for example)
as comes up daily, magldr WILL NOT START without both those criteria filled. It will simply hang on the bootscreen.
thanks for the info.
I had Spl 3.03, I understood that MAGLDR would require 2.08 or above. Radio, is exactely the 2.15.50. What should i do now?
wrong, magldr requires 2.08.hspl ONLY. no other will work.
from magldr thread, post 1 line 4......
You need HardSPL 2.08 before installation!

[Q] No Bootloader Menu after reboot

Hi folks,
I tried to flash my HTC HD2 for the first time. Read /watched different guides. In first 2 steps they were all the same:
- install HSPL
- instal MAGLDR
Done both, got positive responses on both.
BUT: after rebooting after installing MAGLDR I do not manage to get the bootloader screen. There´s just a white screen with green htc logo on it and nothing else happens.
Yes, I held the power button after reboot; about 1 min long. Nothing.
If I hold volume down button after reboot the stripey screen appears like after the HSPL installation. But there is also no menu.
Also tried to proceeed task29 with the HD2 Android NAND Toolkit. Got positive response there too and after this I begann from scratch. With the same results.
Does anyone have a clue what I made wrong or forgot?
Or a hint what to do now?
best regards
M.
What version hspl n magldr?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
and radio,
hspl MUST be 2.08.hspl ONLY
radio MUST be 2.xx.50.xx
Got hspl version 2.08.hspl from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
got MAGLDR version 1.13 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893618
cant remember the full radio version but I checked it before starting and it fits to requirements.
But I´m a few steps forward...
Meanwhile I flashed the newest Original HTC HD Win Mobile 6.5 ROM so phone boots up again
After that I installed HSPL version 2.08.0000 (now I know that was a failure) an tried again to install MAGLDR. But the progress bar doesn´t move - neither on PC nor on phone...
So I first will try to install again HSPL like samsamuel said and try again with MAGLDR
[EDIT]
Radio Version is now 2.15.50.14
SOLVED
Don´t know why but after dooing all step again (after falshing new HTC ROM) all ist ok and android is booting...
I think something was not in expected version on my old ROM on the phone. Never made an update before. So I recommend to do this before starting with all other

the only regular hd2 stock rom that includes a magldr compatible radio is 3.14, so if the ''old rom'' you flashed was any other version, it will have also flashed a non magldr radio, which is why it happened. (I suspect).
Sorted now,
the same problem
Hi,
I have the same problem.
Just white screen with green HTC mark.
But I'm not shure how to flesh win mobile again, because I cannot connect my HTC HD2 via USB (PC doesn't recognise the phone).
tnx
Hey MiMo,
Could you please post links and steps to help myself and anyone else looking on how to fix this?
by links I mean can I have the stock rom you used and the radios and such
Thank you.

[Q] MAGLDR problem...driving me insane

Dear All,
I have been flashing roms on the HD2 for several years, and now I have got the nexus 4 for a while I only kept doing it for my brother. I wanted to try another rom but he tried to do get back to factory settings first.
What I did (HSPL 2.08 was already on the phone):
With HD2 toolkit:
- task 29
- flashed MAGLDR, keeps on white HTC bootscreen, no menu
- tried to flash clk but I get an error all the time
- flashed stock rom, works like a charm
then I tried flashing magldr via DAF method but that doesnt work either...
I never had this problem because when I flashed MAGLDR it always booted into MAGLDR, then I flashed the right nand partion for CLK and then I flashed several roms with AD recovery menu in MAGLDR... But this time I really don't understand what might be going wrong...
Any ideas?
thanks in advance
grts Jochen
I'm not really that kind of guy that suggests something to replace a broken thing, but in this case I'm going to say why not try cLK?
Try to redownload MAGLDR's package and see if it works. Does the flashing complete successfully?
magldr stays on white htc screen: try reflashing hspl / radio 2.15.50
Magldr don't work without Radio Rom,
If your task29 in't the one modded by Dollop you have erase the rom radio.
As Says Gilbert32 flash the rom Radio and should be fine...
