If this is the same for everyone, I'm amazed it hasn't been noticed already..
When I hold my phone speaker up to my ear I hear what sounds like a cross between interference and buzzing/noise. The occurs whether I am making on phone call or else the phone if sitting in standby. I'm currently holding hope that this can be magically fixed by a firmware update, as of course, replacement is out of the question at the moment!
Has anyone else noticed this issue? Any ideas if it is a hardware defect or down to poor design?
..Sorry - Just found a duplicate post using different terminology. Please delete this thread.
When using a wired headset I practically have to scream for the other person to hear me. Looks like a number of people have reported the issue here as well: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=41860
Has anyone else had this issue? Has anyone found a fix for it?
EDIT: I called T-mobile tech support and they reset some **** on their end and I rebooted my phone and now my problem is gone. Not sure how it got fixed but it is now.
When I'm in a call, I get interrupted all the time and told that I sound like i'm muffled, like I have my finger over the microphone, but I'm sure I don't. I've cleaned the mic hole to no avail.
Does anyone have any idea what would be causing this? It's immensely frustrating being interrupted while I'm talking to be told they didn't understand me because I'm too "muffled".
huh.
well, immediately after posting this thread, i called google to ask about it and without asking any questions just sent me an RMA.
not exactly what i was expecting lol
Hi, I recently started to have a call issue where people can't hear me over their phones. Seems to happen with iPhone users a lot. Doesn't matter if I call them or if they call me, the other person can't hear me, no matter how I position the phone or how loud I speak. But if I turn on speaker phone, than they hear me perfectly once again.
I tried disabling voice enhancement which seemed to help a little bit.
I was wondering if there was anyone else that is having a similar issue.
I am hoping this is something I can fix, and not a hardware issue like a broke mic.
I am rooted running Tmobile clean rom. No major mods or anything.

I got a note 7 with a problem in the earpiece speaker, at first i take it to repair-shop and they kind weld something, them the problem came back, i startin to suspect of the earpiece speaker, but them the tech guy told me that he thinks that this part is the problem, honestly i got doubts, can you help me? Also if you can tell me the name of that part above the phone it will a big help for me.
You never said what the actual problem is.
The earpiece was working? I have and issue sometimes work and sometimes not... Very rare
I am having same issue. Did you manage to fix?
