On the serious note, my setup is on my signature. Try to compare different radios, wm roms and different android builds as they all work differently for everyone else.

My setup atm:
Android FroyoStone_Sense_V3.2
Bootloader: HSPL 2.08
Radio: 2_12_50_02_2
ROM:CleanEX OzROM V5.10 WM6.5 21916
Installed this setup today, I gonna try it for few days now then i will report back here

Put it in your signature, don't really need a thread for it (you can just look at other peoples sig's) and certainly not in the development forum.

my setup is the one on my signature

Fast, stable, look at my signature ...

check my sig

If U want ****ty Sense free ROM I would recommend U my set-up:
1 : WM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=774417
2: Android : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=823471
3: Kernel : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9304396&postcount=234
Works perfectly, no SOD no TS Freeze , and NO HTC SENSE !

WM: OzDroid 2.00, Radio 2.14.50.xx
Android: Mdeejay's Clean Sense 2.3, Hastarin 8.5, LeTama's wrapper 0.7
Feels like native android. Really smooth and everything works. (Only using sense because of the better dialer and non-snse builds giving trouble with my Parrot CK3100 car kit_
Battery usage is real good, take it off the charger at 7am and have about 25-30% remaining around 11pm, with 3G sync on 2 Google Accounts, Facebook, Twitter, Weather, etc. Some web browsing, incidental GPS navigation and about 30mins calling time a day.

4 or more icons in one row on X1i possible or not?

Tweaks for Diamond for more than three icons in one row in Programs and Settings not working on Xperia X1i
Is possible tweak this feature on X1 for generic UK firmware R2A?
I guess you mean the IconConfig reg key.
I have tried lots of values found in other threads and cant get it to work on Xperia.
If anyone has more luck than me I would be intested in making better use of the screen without scrolling
Yes, i mean IconConfig for X1...
example for Diamond:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433635
4 or 5 row icons wont work with OEM rom,
try 1 of the cooked rom and it will works!
that is y i using cooked rom!
So there is absolutly no chance on the original rom? What is preventing it from working?
not working on Jack's 2.2 Medium WWE ROM
+1 here. Jack's 2.4 rom. No change at all.
It works if your rom build is from the blackstone roms. Try a rom with a blackstone build and it will work.
i tried with the cab that changes the registry on my Touch-IT 3.5 RC1 and still see 3 per row, no good also here
try a rom with build 210xx or build 211xx, and it will works!
example: build 21014 or build 21109

Thankyou
Hodai
Click the link in my sig and at the bottom of the first post you'll see a "ROM / Android ralated...." section and in the list is a "how to install roms" guide. Follow it and I'd suggest you go with an NRG / Energy Rom found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784 they're safe and fast. If you get stuck just search for help or ask if you can't find it. Feel free to post a question in my thread. I'm on vacation and so I'm on here a lot.
The only way you'll brick your phone is if install a radio with XX.XX.51.XX in it. Don't install a .51. radio. Also Don't install a radio lower than 2.08.XX.XX. That too will brick your phone. All the rest your good. I've attached a image of the some random radios so you can see what I'm talking about.
After you conquer the flash, installing android is stupid easy.

Poll Followup - Post your Samsung Vibrant ROM review HERE!

So for a follow up to the Poll that are currently running at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=850556, please if you want to help other make an educated decision, write a review of the ROM you are running.
If you are a daily flasher (you can take that however you want ) you are more than welcome to write multiple reviews. Or if you are keeping your own website with reviews please post a link.
This thread is going onto the WIKI to help people in their search for their perfect ROM.
WIKI Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Samsung_Galaxy_S_SGH-T959
A quick outline that you can use:
Name of the ROM
Version of the ROM
Summary
Kernel you are running with your ROM
Any extra modifications that doesn't come with the ROM
Pros
Cons
Any screen shots if available
ROM: Onyx
Version: 4.2
Summary:Basically a smooth Froyo based ROM developed by Team Whiskey. Its the TouchWiz-less brother ROM of Obsidian ...the best ROM i ever had....in my opinion the best one out there.
Kernel: ULF(Universal Lag-Fix) - Ported from the i9000 ROMS...
Extra Mods: BlackFroyo Theme, JI6 modem
Pros: Too many to list....never had a problem with freezing and the ROM is super fast without any lagfixes and is lightning with a lagfix..it even comes with the modified ULF..thanks to the ULF kernel....you may pick the lagfix you want....ranging from OCLF, simple EXT2 or EXT4, are even Overkill JFS which i am running now.
Cons: I was 1/20 people that got their internal SD cards wiped...this was a kernel issue not a ROM issue...the warning was present but not attention grabbing....a PC backup is recommended.

DOES YOUR HD2 BUILD run IN RAM?

There is a new thing going on now with the builds for the HD2. There is a genius named Darkstone1337 in this forum. He gets his clean android build to boot in less than 1 minute. Check it out here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870518.
And after you try it, torture your acquaintances by asking them: Does it run in RAM? Because ROM, NAND... that has become obsolete.
I'm downloading it right now !
But I have some basics before I use any build for daily use no matter how fast it is.
1st It has to be least battery consumer, Which I found best are MIUI's builds ( ~2-3 mA/h) .
Second thing is some builds don't wake-up from standby (no, not all builds have this) which I found that does wake-up are Desire Z/HD, MIUI Builds .
If these two basics are met, then my daily use would be DS's Froyo RAM.
Hopefully, It does ..

Click to collapse
I'm consistently seeing 3 to 6mA after standby, which it wakes up from reliably.

[Q] Current status of Linux on HTC Typhoon?

Hi there, I recently uncovered my Typhoon (Orange SPV C500) from the attic where it resided in its original box since we moved house 2 years ago.
To my surprise the battery was still good and after charging it up I decided to play around a little. Having upgraded my old Oxygen (HTC S310) to WM6.1 a while back I thought it would be cool if the much older Typhoon could run the same Windows. Using Karhoe's tutorial should do the trick.
So after some hassle getting it unlocked I upgraded.

}
Then I discovered it will even run WM6.5 which isn't even available to its younger sibling Oxygen. Upgrading was a breeze since the unlocking etc. was all done.
Of course, somehow the age-old question came up: "will it run linux?".
Sure it will.
Following the instructions from here and here I used HaRET to boot the linux kernel.
OK, so now what? Booting a kernel and having some limited shell access does not an OS make. So, has any progress been made? Last progress I find is roughly somewhere in 2007. I know the phone is over 7 years old and don't really expect anything but if anyone knows of news (Android?) plz let me know.
I would not bet on anything similar, simply because of the very limited RAM and ROM size of the Typhoon. Aleut's WM6.5 is the latest and best ROM you can get for this device.
I am in the process of releasing a simple kitchen based on that WM65, so you will be able to cook one yourself with the parts contained that you like.
Still the Multimedia and MMS integration is not as good as I would like to have it, but after this is done the kitchen will be released. It will generate a ROM that fits any Typhoon/Feeler/Amadeus as the keyboard drivers are all included in one ROM.
