I am having a hard time trying to put the adroid app on my hd2. it keeps saying that i don't have the right spl number and i am lost. My spl number starts with 210 but i dont know where to start. what do i download, how do i download it and what are the steps when doing it? I need to know how to do it from scratch. Please help.
you need to hard spl first. if you have tmo hd2 go to that forum I'm sure its a sticky.

what is hard spl?
search it hard spl hd2 you will find it I promise. hard spl is similar to rooting an android phone or jail breaking an iphone. be sure to read directions diligently! make sure your reading instructions for your type of hd2 if it says tmobile on it you have a 1024 leo or usa hd2

don't know were to start i have had my htc hd2 for about 1wk now i have seen folks with android on there phone but i want win7 on mine now i have been reading threw this forum, but i have know were to start, and what would be the best method in putting win7 on my phone with out bricking it,also does every app on the win7 flash work.any info with detailed instructions will help thanks for everyone that reads and helps me out.
Flashing WP7 to your HD is a pretty simple process and takes no more than 10 min. There are detailed installation instructions available here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=912416
Only trouble is if your phone comes with SPL 3. Then you must downgrade the SPL by flashing an older stock ROM first in order to be able to install HSPL 2.08.
On the other question: I've not seen an app that doesn't work on the HD2 under WP7.
thanx i will check that out
Hey everyone, this is my first post.
So, i recently attempted to put magdlr and the android nand on my hd2. But when the dft application to get android gave me an error. I found out that it was my ROM that was the problem. So, I flashed my Rom and bricked it. I have a new hd2 today with
ROM version 3.14
Radio 2.15
I still want that android rom and I ask if anyone can give me step by step processes on how to get it?

If you can get it to the bootloader tben it is not bricked. While the phone is ocf gold down the volume button and tap the power(end) button and the tri color bootloader should come up. let me know if you can do this and I will guide you further.
The phone won't turn on, charge, or even show a screen.
I can't go into bootloader, can't go into hard reset mode.
When I go into usb mode, all I see on my computer screen is something about Qualcomm. Nothing else, I can't even access the harddrive space.
I'm pretty sure its fully bricked.
the problem i have right now isn't returning the phone, I already have the phone in hand right now. The question i'm asking is..how do I put android nand on my phone right now? My ROM is the newest right now.

Oh yeah it is bricked then.
A few questions though. Do you have a T-Mobile HD2, I think you do. What exactly did you try to flash to it, I want spacifics like ROM name and Radio version. I ask this cause I garantee you that you flashed wrong radio version.
Using a JTAG and a ORT iz the only way to fix a bricked HD2. Go here to learn more.

Ok no problem just download HSPL 3 or HSPL 4. Run wich ever one you download and install HSPL 2.08 as this is the highest HSPL that MAGLDR supports right now. Next download MAGLDR 1.13. Afteryou have both of these installed pick out a NAND Andriod ROM from here and follow the instructioms of the ROMs' developer to install it to your HD2 as there is two different ways to install now via computer and USB flash or via SD card flash. For a great dtep by step guide got to XDA member MSkip's guide it is a really good giude.
Hope tbis is what you are looking for
are you guys sure that hspling my phone to 2.08 is okay even if I have rom 3.14??

Yes you are totally cool. Besides if you are going to flash a NAND Andriod ROM to your HD2 your Windows Mobile will be wiped from the phone and become a Andriod only device unless you flash something else to it.
The things you have to fear is flashing a non compatible radio for your HD2. Sense you have a TMOUS HD2 like me you have to make sure your radio is a TMOUS radio. Easiest way to do this is look at the third set of numbers. Example.
Radio version 2.15.50.14 Yes Radio version 2.07.51.22 No

As long as you have a 50 in that spot you are good with two exzemptions. Do not use radios that look like this.
2.04.50.xx or 2.05.50.xx They will brick your TMOUS HD2

Info:
I purchased this phone from ebay and it came today, i turned it on and it all worked fine, however when i took out the battery and put in my simcard it froze on boot and now the phone will not boot up, it just hangs on the HTC Logo at the start.
Problem:
-I am unsure if the Android 2.2 is installed on the simcard on the actual device.
-I have no idea how to get it working
-I tried a hard Reset however it froze when it was resetting
-Phone won't turn on.
I am unsure if its a LEO or what, its has T-Mobile written just under the Speaker.
What i need:
- How do i fix this issue?
- I would like to install Android 2.2 or Android 2.3 Ginger however all the threads are confusing and i have no clue what to do.
All help would be great.

Hi there,
Yes i have downloaded the Official ROM from T-Mobile.com and entered my IMEI, so i suspect its the correct one.
Tried updating from the Computer and it got to 5% and then said Update Failed. With the error 284 Lost Connection.
I also tried doing it from the SD Card with the leoimg file and that got to about 2 percent and then said Radio error, or something
I'm guessing this should have worked, however it didn't
Cheers

You did install this version of Windows Mobile Device Center? (WMDC)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-us/howto/wp6/sync/installing-wmdc.aspx
And as someone else asked about HSPL version, under Tri-color screen it should say HSPL 2.08 somewhere.

Hey there,
I've been using Nandroid for several months now so I thought I have seen a lot problems flashing and booting and stuff, but today I've been running into problems out of nowhere.
My HD2 lay silently on my desk during a meeting and when I came back it was turned off. Now I can start it but it only shows the pink/magenta circle and nothing more. I tried reflashing Magldr/HSPL/Radio etc. via USB and SD Card Flash but everyhting is erroring out. Via SD card flash of the stock rom it errors during the flash of the radio rom.
Is my device bricked? I'm greatful for any help because I don't know anything else to do. With HSPL on the device my warranty will probably not be helpful in any way .
thanks,
Neo
It wouldn't if just bricked its self Have you tried a task 29? I've never heard of the pink circle, you just seemed to of missed the task29

After the task29 try installing stock ruu from fastboot this should fix it

Use a clean SD that you know works with out any errors and make sure your ruu is named leoimg.nbh

Hey,
thanks for your answers so far.
Here are some photos of the errors after flashing by SD card method.
And my ping circle
Have you tried task29 then flash just the radio on its own
Sent from my HTC HD2
Have been running task29 few hours ago..can't remember the error. It's now running at 0% since 5 minutes
edit: and now it had a error 262
This thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=618084 could be intersting for you. On page 7 post #68 the OP found an sollution to solve this. Another user in this thread had the same problem and was able to fix this by trying to reflash HSPL.
Good luck!
- Reflashing HSPL says succeeded but does not do anything.
- flashing from an XP machine does not work either
Can anybody lead me in the right direction for a goldcard flash? the revskills website does not seem to offer goldcards for our leo anymore
Holy Sh*t I thought I was the only one this happened to. I'm on TMOUS running coredroid 1.6 and on day my hone was fine. Had it its case and when I pulled it out to make a call it was on the boot screen. Got another phone so now I have this paperweight. Ive tried task 29, reinstalling the HSPL rmeoving the boot screen and nothing. Ive even reinstallled Winmo and still nothing. Would be interesting if I found a solution. Can still get a nice penny for our phones..
@bx10r:
at least that means that I'm not going insane and my phone maybe really doing things on its own ^^.
Task 29 directly through MTTY also didn't work. I'll try to see if I can change the phone under warranty.
If that does not work I think I'll try this website:
http://www.gsm-technix.de/shop/prod...585-boot-repair-bootloader-reparatur-unbrick/
Has anybody from Germany tried this yet?
I thankfully got a new device unser warranty. Thanks anybody

Hey, my sister got a HD2 off ebay, and asked me to flash it to android, so i got to the point of installing MAGLDR, and after it successfully flashes, it doesn't boot into it, it just hangs on the HTC boot logo. I used to have a HD2, but it came pre-flashed with android.
I have flashed it with HardSPL too, before you ask.
how long did you wait? sometimes it takes 10+minutes before it boots.
did you try an SD version? it also boots via Magldr.
What steps did you take?
Did you task29 before flashing magldr?
My advice get the hd2 nand toolkit and Task29 before Flashing magldr
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
Symptom - Flashed magldr folowed by hanging at splashscreen and not entering magldr menu.
Cause - nearly always caused by forgetting that magldr WILL ONLY start when spl =2.08.hspl -AND- radio is tmous compatible (meaning 2.07.50 or higher, where the .50 is not. 51,,, 2.08.50 will work 2.08.51 wont)
Go flash radio 2.15.50 and whilst you are in bootloader check what the spl line says.
I think i forgot the radio flash, will try it tomorrow.
You have to be careful with the Radio flashing. It is a good way of bricking your phone. I have had the same radio on my HD2 since I got it and never needed to change it. I have ICS running on it now and I am still on the same radio. You may have used the wrong version of HSPL when you flashed that portion. I would make it stock and start from scratch...follow this guide to make it stock and start from the begining.
http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/15/how-to-restore-stock-rom-on-htc-hd2-video/
You only need to worry about flashing an incompatible radio with TMOUS phones, and as far as I know you shouldn't ever need to change the radio of those for Android anyway, so everything should be fine.

Actually, I don't think the OP mentioned the type of HD2. It could be either us or int.

We can safely assume he's got an EU phone as not only is he from the UK but he's got a .51 radio (Android isn't booting), and I think that all of the TMOUS phones come stock with a .50 radio (or bricked )
Same Problem
I know...I know I'm about to get a beat-down for not reading the forums properly on xda but, there's soo much information that I don't know where to start! It will be much appreciated if someone can help:
I got a HTC HD2 on T-Mobile (UK) - I have the one that reads 448mb of RAM
It has the latest official ROM since it was downloaded from the HTC site (site link no longer available)
The radio version is 2.15.50.14
I have also installed HSPL (it reads SPL-3.03.HSPL)
Tried to install MAGLDR via the HD2 Android NAND Toolkit
Now my phone wont bootup....just stuck at the loading screen (the pink circle arrow)
What do I do? :-s
You need hspl 2.08 to do install magldr!
clk works with 3.03.

If you know you're going to get flamed for not reading properly, surely the logical thing to do would be to go back and start reading properly? As shanman said, MAGLDR requires HSPL2.08 which you would have realised if you read any one of the numerous guides available (e.g. the one in my sig).
