HTC Desire HD
Don't know if many of you heard but HTC have brought out an HD version of our Desires, here are some of the specs:
Android 2.2
4.3″ capacitive touchscreen
8 MP camera with 720p HD video capture
WiFi
HSDPA
GPS
Accelerometer
4 GB internal memory expandable via microSD card slot
so who feels swizzed! lol
wonder if some of the DEVs can port some of the features, in particular what makes the 720p
Isn't that just the 4G renamed for areas where 4G networks aren't available?

not excatly, it's a GSM version which is very similar to the Evo 4G but the EVO's hardware is currently incompatible with UK infrastructure.

It works fine - apart from the relatively low framerate. I don't see how the Desire HDs firmware is going to help here, since it is likely it is linked to the radio firmware and/or the camera CCD, which will be different on the Desire HD.

Man, this is development forum.
Do you know what development means?

It's a dev forum, so no place for these stuff here, I guess.
Anyway, what do you want to port ? WiFi ? HSDPA ? GPS ? Accelerometer ? Android 2.2 ? Hold on, I'll do it for you.
4GB internal memory ? 8MPixel camera ? 4.3 screen ? That seems a bit out of these devs skills. No offence to anyone.
720p works ok in most instances, you would have to replace the lens to see big difference.

I think there is a ROM out there that boasts 720p @ 30fps on our HTC Desire phones.

Yep, It's still in development, and it overheats your phone after prolonged use. :S

supposedly Roufianos has worked on it though you can only record for about 2 or 3 mins max and then the screen gets too hot or something. his thread got locked because he was either being too vague and wasn't giving answers.
Maybe the occasion to grab new sofware from HTC able to record 720p video with a decent framerate ?
Wait and see...
What you're asking for is impossible.
Although anything over 800*480 is overkill on our phones because of the resolution,I'd much rather have developers try and enable 720p playback without lag / stuttering / jerking. That way I could enjoy my 720p vids without having to reencode to lower frame size.
After that, I'd welcome the idea of 720p video recording.
I wonder if you will need to lug a car battery around on your back and keep it plugged in like the EVO, or will you get more than an hour of battery life...
Desire HD is closer to the EVO, then to Desire. So I guess no ports

As long as it uses a compatible/similar processor, porting should be easy enough.
The framework and apps are portable, just move them to where they should be.
For the native libraries and apps it has to have a similar cpu, and it does have one.
Of course there are some libs that are Desire/Bravo-only and have to be used in the port.
What remains is kernel hacking. (Getting bluetooth to work, camcorder, etc)
Sounds possible, as long as there is someone willing to undertake this herculean task.
720p @ 30 FPS recording is smooth at Desire HD. I manged to get it drop down to 28'ish by shaking the phone and filming into bad lighting conditions, which would force the camera to re-focus.
Looks promising.

Hi!
First of all, I buy 2 days ago a Touch HD (im getting this week), but all the more I read, my thinks are that HD is not a great device finally.
Pros
- Big screen
Cons
- GPS Lag (ultra important)
- Video doesnt play smooth (80 90%) on coreplayer and have lag
- Camera lag and bad quality photos.
- No [email protected] videos
- Lot of devices with dead pixels
So, why buy this device instead staying on a Diamond/pro or buying a X1? If I stay, I only lose a bigger screen that not cost 600€ for me (usb from the diamond have adapters to 3.5 minijack), and if you buy a X1, only lose the big screen but wins all of the cons of HTC devices plus more ram and better battery.
So, what are your reason to buy the Touch HD? Im thinking on cancel my order on monday.
yes, cancel your order and buy an iphone , this solve all probs about camera , recording , gps lag etcetc

I doubt this ... because:
I am not sure that this big screen is effective enough. For watching movie and video, yes it is. However, for browsing the internet, without a doubt, you can see more content compare to 2.8" screen ... but is it directly readable without zooming? I dont think so ... Still nice though.

My reason? I dont know ... probably I will stick with my Kaiser ... and wait the next 3.8" WinMo ...
Or probably wait WinMo 6.5? Probably this can add some more functionalities.
Well right now i want a WinMo device and i want it with a 3.5mm audio jack, so that leaves me with two options:
X1 and Touch HD
Since X1 doesnt have an acclerometer (which WinMo7 is going to use heavily), has a recessed screen and TouchFlo doesnt play nice with it yet and since i can't use the keyboard fully in my language, i'd rather go with Touch HD's bigger screen.
GPS and camera aren't so crucial for me (for 3 years on my old nokia, i've used the camera ~10 times, haven't had a GPS and don't imagine i'll need it much (though its nice to have)).
Devices with dead pixels are covered by warranty, so that shouldnt be a problem.
And the only other argument you have is video doesnt play smooth, which isnt that good, since i plan on using it a lot, but when i asked here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=443245 the guy says that non-AC3 movies from the net play ok and on one review, the reviewer was playing an ep of House on it and it looked OK to me, so i guess it'll do for me.

Actually it is. Played for 30 mins with one at a shop the other day and zoomed out everything was perfectly readable for me (though i'm young and don't use glasses, don't know about old folks (a lady at the Xperia forum returned it for that very reason)) the only thing that bugged me is that you can't click links directly from a zoomed out standpoint, first you have to zoom in, but that's Opera's fault, not Touch HD's. The guys at Opera should fix it
Which Windows Mobile phone can do that?

X1 can and it haa pretty much the same specs as Touch HD, except for the camera, maybe that's the problem.
Also Nokia N95
iPhone might as well not have a camera
its a nice phone but not the killer device it was hyped up to be, but i hope it will improve god willing when the developers have a go at it.
...Frankly speaking, you should have waited if you had been disappointed by the HTC devices in general. If you don't like to fiddle with your telephone, suffer for improvements, contribute to it and refresh your OS every week - then an HTC is probably not the better choice, many other companies make good telephones and similar sexy toys. The touch HD is, in my opinion, the most innovative personal platform which has appeared in the last years - it just misses Linux which will arrive soon...
i think that HTC telephones are a technology platform to have fun, like PCs 20 years ago.
If you were expecting an "out of the box" apple performances and finished ergonomics there is no need of investigating: i would suggest to cancel your order and buy an I***** (...oops, i cannot even write it....maybe an allergy? )
BTW, i have a touch HD already and i have been driving at least two hours with it and i continously hear about the GPS lag: WHICH GPS lag? If it is a 20 m lag, at which speed you drive?
Since there is a lot of speculation, shouldn't everybody clarify if they heard/read about a problem from internet, or they had/saw the problem themselves?

For the ones that say that I need and i****, I am not gonna buy and apple device in my life, but is frustrating seeing the same errors on every new device of HTC.
playbacks issues, gps lag, bad sound quality, etc etc
And the touch hd who can be the perfect model if they fix this, now is the same with a bigger screen, thats the problem, they sell the same again and again.
And the gps lag is not only 20 metters it is maybe more than 40 50 in some situations and the gps lag of the diamond have made me to skip a lot of detours and streets, it is a BIG issue.

compared with the touch pro, the touch hd is a big improvment. Battery life seems increadable - with the same use the touvch pro would have died hours ago and i still have 50 % left!1 Gps sensitivity is as good as my old kaiser - the touch pro could never get a lock indoors.
Not sure what htc have done, but its all good.
Coreplayer says 80% so the video playback is bad?
...
lol
Ok.
TonyPlayer says 100.5%.
All these reports of crappy video playback are starting to worry me, that's one of the main reasons why i'm buying it...
Why do you use CorePlayer when WM6.1 comes with Windows Media Player ?

Dear Kersh,
i don't understand what is real and what is speculation: which sound quality? which lag? which playback issues? which etc.etc.?
I have been driving with it on highways, city and walking my dog. I couldn't see any lag. If the diamond had a lag (i don't know) you should not extrapolate that the touch HD behaves in the same way. Please let me know of a conclusive and quantitative test you'd like to see and I'll try it out.
I have one and i am very happy. At the same time, software improvements on such a machine can make it improve even further and extend the satisfaction of owners for years. In my opinion, this device offers the best performances which are available on the market today.
My old trinity improved a lot with time - thanks to the people here trying hard to improve these devices!
By the way, I don't believe that Iphones are bad at all - simply they are like Apple PC: good for my mother and my wife - but i want to be at the frontline and contribute to it.
All the Best,
Let's make it clear iGO v8.3.1.57021 corrects the lag ! and many more improvments

Dear pzucchel,
as u mentioned in the second paragraph, would u be kind enough to do some simple test for the gps lag issue.can u drive at a speed of 80 to 100 km/h,when you physically reach a junction or an interchange ,where is the current location(i.e car icon or triangle) of your device showing? if its exactly parallel to the junction or interchange, than there is no lag..the difference between your physical location and your device location is the actual lag.Another simple test is when your car has physically turn into a junction, how long would the device take to show you are now driving on a new road and direction.and if you could be kind enough to specify what navigation program you used for the test..that will be wonderful.
Thanks in advance for your help
I've been looking forward to the touch hd for a bit now, and I still plan to get it. If there is anything i have learnt from these forums is how a lot of problems is software based.
Anyway, one main reason i'm getting it is that chance to have android on it when it gets ported on.

It depends on the software you use.
I have tried Garmin XT and iGO 8.3.1 on my HTC Trinity.
The Garmin was always a little bit behind, where iGO was always on spot!
And guess what:
I have tried both on my Touch HD, and have exactly the same findings!
I too like Android OS on the cell phone. I have been trying to tolerate the Sammy i760 I am now using, but the HD and the Omnia 16gb both look good. I also am thinking of the Invidia Tegra 600 series as it WILL play at 30fps. Would this be the "one" to wait for? or is it in something and I don't know due to all the Dr's I have to see and travel too? Thanks, JASTECH

Hey guys
I'm looking into purchasing a hd2 from my friend or possibly doing a swap for my desire
My question is what are the chances of seeing a fully working Rom with windows 7 ?
I no about the hardware limitations but is anyone currently working on a Rom ?
Would it be even possible ?

why would you like to change Desire for HD2?
i'm going to change my HD2 to Desire or Nexus One cause i'm tired of WinMo, with it's low quality apps, and the lack of apps and games that really worth this 4.3" display and HD2's hadrware.
about WP7, there is no working ROM, and no one even know (except Da_G) when it will be working
As far as i know, Da_G is working on it.
Yet still, there is no proof that it will work.
and even if it does work someday, i doubt it will be anytime soon

Well the fact is i get very bored very quickly, iv been on android for a good 18 months, also had a play with Meego and done some developer work on that, i love the screen and i do alot of travelling on trains work wise, its much easier for me to carry a 4.3" mobile around then my 17" laptop to watch a couple of movies. The Desire screen is great, but the video player is an absolute pile of cack, the ones on the market place add very little, sometimes with a file sizer over 2gb i find the playback shocking.
On my friends HD2 playing back a 2gb video file its much much better than on my desire

But let me remind you that you will miss a lot of android's cool features.

But 18 months is already too much i think, so go get a new one

well my battery life is nothing short of awful, granted i have my desire rooted and running a custom rom and it is slightly overclocked, but also running at a lower voltage, i barely get to the end of the day with facebook running in the background, and also googlemail running,
on a stock rom i get just over a day, i have a 1600mAh extended battery aswel
Whats the facebook and twitter apps like on the HD2? those are my most used apps on my desire
Also can you guys advise how well gogolemail works and also how easy it is to setup, have HTC added in any setup wizards? and does it push email directly to the handset?
oooh another question, iv just come accross some details about the PSX emulator, how good is this? that would pass the time on the train playing some FF7 or FF8!

Hey everyone (this is my first post although I've been following the forum for a couple of weeks now!)
Like most everyone I've been eagerly waiting for the Desire HD and getting impatient for the delay. I just watched a video comparing Desire HD and EVO 4g on engadget, in which the guy says the Desire HD 3G won't work in the US? I'm an absolute newbie and have never had an Android phone...can anyone confirm this? Thanks!
Here is the said video:

EDIT: I just found another similar thread that answered my question...wanted to delete my post but don't know how...well at least there's that engadget video ...

to be honest. i think only a retard would sell his Evo 4G to DHD. as i personally think the EVO 4G is superior to DHD in many ways its not even funny.
its kinda like the europen/asia/middle eastern people got a stupid low version of the EVO 4G.
1- no 4G
2- No second camera
3- no kick stand
4- no mini hdmi port
are they serious ?
and on top of all that, there are some hardware problems with the DHD it self that needs to be fixed " sensor, touch panel etc".
i think the DHD is a total fail. with all respect to everyone who bought it.
and i really hope it bombs hard to htc think twice before f****ng up their customers outside the US.
too bad the evo is CDMA only. i would have paid 700$ for it :/
4g hasn't even been released in many places outside of america, it's capable of handling hspa+ speeds..
I don't know anyone who actually uses the secondary camera. I've had it on my n95 and touch pro 2 and never missed it going onto my nexus one.
No hdmi port because we have dlna.
How is the desire hd a fail? It's been noted worldwide that it is one of the best, if not the best android phone out at the moment.

1- just because its the best in europe doesnt mean its the best world wide.
the evo 4 G destroys it and its an older phone. the DHD is stipped down version in terms of hardware " dont give me newer cpu crap that no one actually use. the android is running super fast on a hd2 . let alone evo "
2- just because you and others dont use the front facing camera doesnt mean its not important. most of my calls are video calls for your info. its more fun and i actually see the girl/guy i am talkin to before we decide to go out and have fun etc
3- dlna is nice. but i am sorry. not all HDtvs have dlna. including my 2 years old Sony Bravia . full hd. hdmi port. no dlna " as far as i know. nothing in the options when i checked "
should i go now and buy a new HDtv ? please. and many others are like this too.
sure the HDMI output is NOT a standard on Mobiles. but the EVO has it. why on earth they took it off from DHD. they are friggin charging the same price for evo as dhd. why should i be ok with the dumped version ?
i am sorry you are ok with the dhd. i hope u have fun with it. but there is no way in hell i am going to let htc get my money on this.
they should have a released a superior phone than Evo considering the evo is old now. but no. we get a worst version for the same price. and on top of that, it has some hardware problems.
oh yeah no **** off
4- the Evo is CDMA only. so its not released any where outside the US. and its sprint exclusive too. so even if i import it. it wont work
How about a newer gpu? I couldn't run asphalt on my nexus one smoothly (it ran the same chipset as the evo) but it runs just fine on my desire hd. I suppose the bump up in inbuilt memory as well as the increase in ram means it is still stripped down hardware wise? It's a 50% increase in both cases.
Do you really walk down the street while your video calling? People who video call in public are ignorant lol don't you use facebook to see who you are going to date?
DLNA is standard for most tv's today, if you don't have a compatible t.v. for dlna then use a ps3, xbox 360 or a computer to stream it. If you're going to watch something off of a t.v. you're more likely to stream over dlna than carry a cord around with you. Who watches stuff off of their phones anyway, get apple or google tv if your serious about your media
We have an updated chipset, what more could you want?
Sure people talk about the gpu and cpu improvements but it also brings support for more video codecs (we can play divx natively whereas the old snapdragon can't), uses less power and has the 8th generation built in gps engine (its a lot quicker to lock on). Not to mention speeds of up to 14.4mbps HSPA+. "4g" that you are referring to barely reaches 3mbps for most people in america. All of these features are things people use on a daily basis.
You sir are crazy to prefer the evo over the dhd

all this crap about new CPU/ GPU doesnt really mean anything. the galaxy has a monster of gpu. and what games take advantage of that? zero .nothing really is new in this tech crap. more of a tweek to the CPU. the software isnt even supporting it. i have smooth experience in my hd2 after tweeks. and so in my galaxy s. " i had hd2 "

sure i can use my DLNA on ps3 or my 360. but the idea of mini hdmi output was if u want to watch at your friends house. why would i plug my mobile to tv if i am at home already and can plug my external hard disk or laptop ?
also, why we are arguing about this? EVO has hdmi output. DHD doesnt. EVO win. period. whatever u will ever use it or not. its there for you if you ever did.
same thing for front cam. 1 day you might be kinky and ur at your work. u call ur gf at home and tell her to show u her ass so u can rub 1 in the bathroom office. the cam is there she can use it lol

See when people try to use the kickstand as a valid point for how the EVO is a better phone, you just realise that they are clutching at straws.
Front facing cameras have been available on phone in Europe for near enough 6-7 years, times I or anyone else I know have used one = Zero
The "4G" argument, fair does the US has WiMAX, but it is not fully available all over the US.
The kickstand, come on. Never have I ever thought to myself, know what, I wish my phone had a kickstand so I could watch stuff a little easier.
The DHD has an upgraded CPU and GPU, that right now might not have many more advantages over the EVO, but in the future it will do. When the OS becomes more demanding, the older first generation of Snapdragon devices will become less supported officially for updates etc. That coupled with 256mb more RAM backs that up.
The HDMI port is a bit of a bummer, but for me it is hardly a deal breaker. It would be nice to have, but I can just stream to my PS3 or my TV wirelessly, seems like a fair trade off. Why go digging around the back of my tv which is a cable jungle when I can just do it through wireless?
Anyone who says that the lack of front camera or kickstand is a deal breaker is obviously either a total idiot who just wants more more more regardless of how much they will use it, or is just a spec junkie who wants to brag or look cool online.
The vast majority of phones out there dont have a kickstand or a front facing camera or HDMI out, does that make them bad phones, not at all. It is only recently that people have became fixated by such things, to the point where they are fooling themselves into believing that they matter.
Just my thoughts. To me the DHD is the next step up. I would say it's personal choice, but really the tech is much better with the DHD. I'm in the states, and am much happier with the DHD (even on 2G only. I'm always by wi-fi, so it doesn't matter) than I would be with the Evo. All the things the DHD can do blows the Evo out of the water. Maybe it is just me, but like one poster pointed out, some of the things the DHD can do can't be matched by the Evo. Plus Evo is Sprint only, and I'm on T-Mobile, and plan to stay here. There is no other 4.3 Android for T-Mobile (not that I would care since the DHD rules the world).

1. I'm sorry but the DHD actually has faster hardware than the EVO, end of discussion.
2. I have NEVER seen anyone use a front facing camera on a phone. Why would HTC include one if 90% don't want/need it? It's like demanding a 6,3mm jack on the phone because a couple poor guys have headphones that use a 6,3mm jack even though 95% of people use 3,5mm.
3. A lot of new TV's do have DLNA even though your cheap Bravia doesn't. Again, seriously. How often do you use a HDMI output? Again, I have never seen anyone use it.
Why are you even comparing DHD to the EVO when they are not even intedended to be sold on the same continents for god sake. Besides Android is way better imo than WM which I believe the EVO has. Oh and no, it doesn't have hardware problems except for the first batch of phones, so no, you can't generalize that "the DHD has hardware problems"..
PS. Learn to write for God's sake.

More hardware extras for their buck? So let me get this straight, you would rather have a kickstand than a faster CPU/GPU combo?! You would rather have a front facing camera than an extra 256mb of RAM?! That's pretty sad tbh. The hdmi output requires a cable to be bought. The DLNA doesn't need anything to be bought unless you have an old tv in which case you will be able to buy the HTC media link.
So let's recap, you would rather NOT have an upgraded CPU, upgraded GPU, 50% more RAM, but as long as you have a kickstand and front facing camera that's better. LOL!!

WiFi: B/G/N + DNLA | B/G

DNLA is moving forward, quickly. Don't have DNLA on your TV? Don't be a tool and buy a new TV. Use your common sense and go buy the cable to connect the Desire HD to the TV. Its about 1/1000th the price of a TV.

Touch pro 2 is the best phone!!
...
Seriously, I would defend my phone if I had that one. NOw my touch pro 2 is broken and I ordered the DHD.
There is a lot of competition out there, not only the EVO 4G.
It's just what you prefer. Design?, the evo 4g probably wins. Inner hardware?, the dhd wins. The 4g has more outer hardware: kickstand, 2nd camera, etc.
So it does have more features. But then again, maybe it doesn't because HTC is comming with a lot of new features by software.
It's just what you like the most. When you only think of the phone design, the 4g wins. But then a lot of phones in the past were designed even better (touch pro 2 (A)) Fact is, the DHD has more power under the hood what makes it last a little longer.
Everyone uses their phone diffrently, so for the people who use the kickstand and front camera, go with the EVO 4g. But most people do not really use it, so the DHD probably is the better choice because it will last longer in the future.
The quality of a phone isn't just decided by strenght or just by design, but also the new technology. That's why a newer phone is almost always better then an old one.
in this case, there isn't really a winner.
With the discontinuation of the HD2, and despite the fact I will retain the handset and make good use of it, my Free upgrade date is fast approaching....
Which handset appears to be the best handset on the market to rival our HD2s? The Desire HD looks a lovely piece of kit and the Incredible S, although slightly smaller than The HDs also looks good!

To be honest, I think they'll all run about the same. Along with all HTC's current phones they'll run excellently. It's all about which you prefer the look of tbh. I think the IncS and DHD have the exact same specs if the IncS has 712mb of RAM.

I agree that the HD7 has the lack of Android capability, currently, and WinMo7 is currently very limiting, will be interesting to see what happens there after Mango... The only thing Spec-wise that the HD7 offers to me over the HD2 (But is still well lacking behind Incredible S/Desire HD) is the way they have set the speakers into the Handset so the sound is projected out through the screen side of the handset, so you don't have to cup the phone to watch a movie clip!
Desire HD and incredible S I think the main difference, is screen size and internal storage, both in favour of the HD...
Just an aside, does anybody know anything about the HTC EVO 3D...? Has the Chav'iest name for a handset ever, but at the same time it potentially looks an exciting handset, would like to know more details on it's internals though!
EDIT: one a little research, to be honest it was far from difficult... The Handset
is due to be launched this week! These are the reported/expected specs
• 4.3-inch 3D capacitive touchscreen with 960×540 pixels resolution!
• 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU
• Dual 5-megapixel rear cameras for recording 3D video at 720p — 2D
video is recorded at 1080p.
• 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls
• 4GB of internal memory, microSD expansion slot (8 GB card comes
inside the box).
• GPS, Bluetooth and “standard” sensors
• DNLA support and HDMI port – for beaming videos to the TV
• Dimensions: 5.0×2.6×0.48 inches
• Android 2.3
No news about the RAM as yet, but will surely be 768 MB or better... or
me a great sounding handset, and I'm not due my upgrade until August,
think I'll sit pretty and wait to see which UK carrier takes this handset
on... For me fingers crossed Vodafone

Supposedly the EVO has RAM that changes depending on how much of it you're using. Can't think of the correct term but something like that is supposedly what its going to have anyway. Seems weird.
I'm a phone enthusiast so I don't deal with contracts. I pay straight up. Rather that than being stuck in a contract. And if I want a new phone I'll most likely trade somebody.

Hey guys,
Just wondering...is there a mod to get 1080p recording on our MT4G via interpolation??? I've noticed applications and/or updates to other Android devices that allow for 1080p recording from 720p.
Is this at all possible for our device? Could a camera.apk be developed with 1080p capabilities?
Would love to hear everyone's input..
Times like these, I wish I had the knowledge of a dev so I could help develop ideas into solutions
Hardware limitation.
No mod that I know of.
My 2cents is that I am pretty sure that trying to do that via sw would require some very serious processing and doubt it could be done wo dropping frames, at least on the device...
Realize that you would also be losing quality when doing that. even if you did it off the device with sw conversion tool.
Short answer: No
Our hardware only allows for 720p recording. Anything that tries to do 1080p will crash, like the Amaze camera mod when it's set to 1080p.
You can't get the HW to record in 1080p.
All the attempts to convert 720p to 1080p will only drop the quality of the recording.
Why would you want your phone to record with higher resolution (even if it was theoretically possible), but lower frame rate and quality? The end result is a movie that you'll be seeing, and this movie's quality isn't in its resolution. Just for bragging rights? I think you need to rethink the reasons for your request.

Secondly, you're absolutely right about me not knowing about the framerate dropping. I was just asking out of curiosity.
I was only wondering if it was at all possible because it would be cool to record in a higher quality, obviously that's not the case with this phone.
@JACK_R1 No need to be rude with your response. As estallings said, you probably do have more knowledge and since I'm still learning.. I figured I was at least allowed to ask a question without being put down or feeling stupid.

Are you saying the app? yes. theres a rom in the dev section. The actual camera HARDWARE...i'm thinkin no, but even if you did you wouldn't get 1080P due to the lack of dual core in our phone
the frames per second on the 720p is already pretty low... i cant imagine a 1080p would be good...

I was thinking about the actual hardware, but I forgot that the internals are totally different.
Ahh, gotta love planned obsolescence eh?

720p on a phone was new tech when this phone was released. It was almost the main selling point until they changed the release name from MyTouch HD to MyTouch 4G at the last minute. All technology becomes obsolete. That's the nature of it. Would you prefer it cease advancement?

No, that is not what I was implying either. Neither would I prefer advancement to slowdown accordingly to match my budget. That is why I was griping about PLANNED obsolescence. Nevermind...
