i have had a t mobile touch pro . one of these mda windows mobile with a slide out key pad .
after 3 years , the screen is not sensing my touches now. before i could re calibrate it and it would work for few hours before it needed re calibration yet again.
now it just wont sense i am pressing on icons any more . i am having to luckily use the start key on the key pad and then the navigation keys to navigate my phone .
do i need a new screen ? or just need a new digitizer to replace ?

Yhea! i'm here for the second time asking something about the digitizer. Now the problem is:
I've the digitizer disconnected and i've experienced (last time) that part of the front buttons don't work. Not important.. they're well replicated except for the red phone but it's another problem. I've jet ordered and payed a new digitizer and i'm waiting for it. The real problem is that now i can't use my phone because ita was going all well (without buttons) but modifying the start plugin by the schap's registry editor my vpa freeze on the splash screen. I've made a hard-reset and (as indicated somewhere) with the pone stopped on the screen "tap enywhere to start your wm bla bla bla" i've connected it via usb and deleted the link "c:\windows\autostart\welcome.ink" or something similar. I've bypassed the welcome procedure but now after boot my wm freeze with a strange screen situation.. i can see the top bar but the rest of the screen is occuped by the splash screen.. like it'is without screen refresh.
Is it possible that the welcome.exe adding useful information to registry that let the phone working well? May I insert them by hand with an editor launched on my pc with the pda connected? or my tytn is definitively gone?
The phone does not respond to any button except the power button (for standby and power off with the message window fully represented) and the button on the left that (if hold) start the recording note software as shap's default.

on my xda exec O2 I have installed the ROM Vodafone italy and everything he has gone ok.
When I have installed the patch for the extended memory I have begun to have problems.
The device thick freeza and it suffers blocks, Therefore I have decided to again install the ROM, but during to calibrate the screen it doesn't go anymore before.
It continues to for some then it jams.
I have tried to install other ROM, the Qtek but from the same problem.
Do you advise to use MTTY?

If so, remove it and test the response from the Touch Screen.
Screen protectors can interfere with the sensitivity and accuracy of the Touch Screen.
Attempt to re-align the screen by going to Start>Settings>System Tab>Screen and then tap on Align Screen or press and hold the Center Navigation key and then press the Internet Explorer Button. Note: To ensure accuracy, Screen Alignment must be completed using the device Stylus and no other object

Hi I have installed s2u2 (slide to unlock App) in my T mobile htc wing it works fine but since the touch screen locks by default , When unlocking the mobile fist i need to unlock the touch screen by pressing the power switch on the top of the device and then do the slide to unlock processes . So Is there any way to stop/ bypass touch screen locking . So that I could use the the s2u2 directly . ie just tap on the screen and the s2u2 interface will come and not by fist unlocking the screen by pressing the power key and then do the slide to unlock .

Why would you want to ?
If you disable the screen unlock (power button), not sure it's possible, your screen would be on all the time. Wouldn't it ?
Try this: S2U2 settings-Others-Unlock by D-Pad. When enabled just right click D-pad and watch slider go. It's faster than the stylus or trying to do it with your finger.
What i mean was I want to tap any where on the touch screen and then then the slide to unlock should come to action . My brothers nokia phone has this facility basically if the phone is kept ideal then i would go for a screen lock/ Back lite off, but when you tap any where on the screen then it would evoke the slide to unlock function .So I would like to configure my T mobile wing like that if possible.

Don't think it's possible. 4-5 years messing with windows, can't say I've ever heard of something like that. Unless 1 of the builder's can make it.

My beloved HTC Prophet is stuck at 'Tap Screen to Align'
History:
It fell from my hands and hit the floor with set facing down, touch screen stopped working at once, hardware buttons were working but I couldn't use the phone as I had placed a password for unlocking
I connected it through USB and used mobiler .... everything else except the touchscreen was working fine
I did a hard reset by using MOBILER
unfortunately my cell does not go fwd from 'Tap Screen to Align' as it doesnt accept any Taps
Repair:
I went to (an unauthorized) repairing shop where they instantly replaced its (upper) touch screen, but in vain.... they say they cant understand the problem
Kindly help me ... I dont want to lose my beloved prophet

this problem came out after I reboot my nexus this afternoon ..
ok , firstly I have to say that I hided the original virtual key and install another one to trigger the virtual key from the screen edge for long times
I used it for half years and it worked fine , but today after I reboot my phone , i could not trigger the virtual menu anymore from edge touching ,I dont know if any update of other software have conflict with it .
then I uninstall it and showed back the google original virtual key again , but sadly, the button dosent work after they appeared again !!
the bottom touch screen actually can work , if I rotate the screen , the virtual key will show on the top of the screen and work normally , also the bottom screen can be touched . but once I rotate the phone back normally , the virtual key goes back to bottom part again , then it totally dosent work .
i also tried to flashed the google original factory rom , but the problem still there , I cant understand how this kind of problem still being there even I flashed the official rom .
any one meet this same problem ? and can you tell me how to solve it ..

if I press the bottom part longer , actually I can call google search out ,which means the bottom part screen is ok . so I
