Hi,
on my xda exec O2 I have installed the ROM Vodafone italy and everything he has gone ok.
When I have installed the patch for the extended memory I have begun to have problems.
The device thick freeza and it suffers blocks, Therefore I have decided to again install the ROM, but during to calibrate the screen it doesn't go anymore before.
It continues to for some then it jams.
I have tried to install other ROM, the Qtek but from the same problem.
Do you advise to use MTTY?
TiA
If so, remove it and test the response from the Touch Screen.
Screen protectors can interfere with the sensitivity and accuracy of the Touch Screen.
Attempt to re-align the screen by going to Start>Settings>System Tab>Screen and then tap on Align Screen or press and hold the Center Navigation key and then press the Internet Explorer Button. Note: To ensure accuracy, Screen Alignment must be completed using the device Stylus and no other object

Yhea! i'm here for the second time asking something about the digitizer. Now the problem is:
I've the digitizer disconnected and i've experienced (last time) that part of the front buttons don't work. Not important.. they're well replicated except for the red phone but it's another problem. I've jet ordered and payed a new digitizer and i'm waiting for it. The real problem is that now i can't use my phone because ita was going all well (without buttons) but modifying the start plugin by the schap's registry editor my vpa freeze on the splash screen. I've made a hard-reset and (as indicated somewhere) with the pone stopped on the screen "tap enywhere to start your wm bla bla bla" i've connected it via usb and deleted the link "c:\windows\autostart\welcome.ink" or something similar. I've bypassed the welcome procedure but now after boot my wm freeze with a strange screen situation.. i can see the top bar but the rest of the screen is occuped by the splash screen.. like it'is without screen refresh.
Is it possible that the welcome.exe adding useful information to registry that let the phone working well? May I insert them by hand with an editor launched on my pc with the pda connected? or my tytn is definitively gone?
The phone does not respond to any button except the power button (for standby and power off with the message window fully represented) and the button on the left that (if hold) start the recording note software as shap's default.
Tell me what you think and thank you!

Hello,
I recently installed Black Satin (Normal) on my IMate JasJam (Herm100). Everything went fine and when the system rebooted it asked me to align my screen which I did. After that I went ahead and installed Slither's Cube Version and Pimp_My_Black softwares. Now the align screen has stopped working. Its been over a week and now my phone is totally out of alignment. Whenever i click on Align Screen the phone goes to the align window and then freezes. Then i have to press the power button and when i put on the phone again, the window comes back to the Start/Settings/Screen Window. Please help me out
Regards,
UPDATE :
Resolved the problem. Seems like touchflo was the culprit. When i uninstalled it, the align screen has started working again. Too Bad, I loved the cube. Hope you guys can work something out and thanks for the WM6.
If you read the various threads on this the answer is clear; you can disable touchflo, then align your screen, then re-enable touchflo.
Happy reading.

Hi all,
Like many people's, my Hermes (T-Mobile Vario II) suffers from screen misalignment issue, and needs re-aligning almost daily. I've done all the mods but to no avail. It is out of warranty so I can't send it back.
Recently, when I try to align the screen (by pressing Confirm button + Message button, or by going to Settings > System > Screen), it just hangs in the "Align Screen" screen - it does not respond when I tap on the target cross.
Only a soft reset can take me out of the screen.
I am using Schap's January 2008 version.
Any idea why please?
But screen now is misaligned really badly and I can't re-align it...
Thanks.
EDIT:
But it doesn't happen every time. Very occasionally it would work...

Answer is easy... Schaps roms have "Ftouchflo" installed. It is nearly sure it is activated on your phone. In this case, the alignment utility is NOT usable. And the pda can stay with a non reactive touch screen till next reset.
Desactivate touchflo by using the touchflo configuration tool followed by a soft reset. So you will be able to use screen alignment.
Just tried and yes! Thats it!
Thanks a lot matey!
You are welcome
Perhaps this should have it's own thread but it is very similar.
My tytn (WM6) has suddenly developed a strange problem. When I go to align the screen, the crosses appear as normal and when I point to them, it appears to be working. Except... After pointing to the last cross, the whole thing starts again, and this happens continuously!
This started when I applied a screen protector and tried to align the screen through it. It was working fine before then. I have taken the screen protector off again, but there is no change.
As I've spent the whole day installing cab files and getting it as I like it, syncing etc. too, I really don't want to have to hard reset it again.
Any other ideas?
That usually means more than 1 point is touching the screen.
That's what I thought but I've cleaned the screen and done the business card trick all round the edges. I can't see where it could be touching...
Any other ideas or suggestions that may help?
I couldn't find a touchflo "disable" button anywhere on my Hermes, but I did go into "Remove Programs" and uninstalled the HTC Cube application, then did a stylus soft reset, then aligned the screen with no problem.
Hi,
For two days i have some screen problems. My touchscreen does not react on touch. If i use the buttons it works but on the screen it doesn't. Sometimes it does work for a few minutes.
The buttons always work (but ther are just a few buttons )
Anyone knows what to do?
Have the same problem. The touch screen goes dead but the buttons below works.
Anyone knows how to rectify this problem?
I had a HTC Touch earlier also and had to give that for repair for the same problem.
I have the same problem with mine, hopefully someone have a solution for this would be very appreciated.
MrQ
Anyone found a solution to this?
My new HTC also now is facing the same issue. The touch screen has gone totally invalid. The bottom buttons work but the touch screen does not. The other big problem now i have is that the phone is locked and i am unable to unlock it.
GOD, if there is a GOD, save my HTC.
I presume you've done soft resets to the phone and it doesn't fix the problem.
Have you flashed any ROM to your Touch? What ROM did you flash if you have? See if it's a common problem with flashed ROM's.
If not, and you're on generic ROM, try to do a hard-reset and see if it fixes the problem. (Hold down both green and red button and poke the reset button while still holding down the 2 buttons). You will lose all the data on your Touch.
If doing a hard-reset on a generic ROM still doesn't fix the problem, then I'm afraid you have a HW problem. Send it in for repair if it's still under warranty.
well u can also try this, it may be because of pressure setting for the screen
"install a reg editing software like PHM and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and then DRIVERS and then TOUCH PANEL; now change the value of PRESSURE THRESHOLD. Remember to increase the valur only, try doubling the value acc to ur need"
If you don't have any warranty and a hard reset didn't work (note if you hard reset and it doesn't work you will be stuck at the screen alignment) then you may be facing a defective digitizer. If you are brave you can take a look at this link (complete dissasembly of Elf)

to study how to take your device apart to replace the digitizer yourself.
The touch screen on a friend of mine's MDA stopped working in the middle and had lost it's alignment making the device hard to use. So I picked up an oem LCD assembly and replaced it. Now no matter how many times I try to align the screen it just keeps cycling. It responds to the taps and goes full cycle but just goes back to the begining. I have search everwhere to find a solution. I have done it in portrait and landscape I have hard reset it and upgraded the rom but still have the same problem. Any Ideas?
Did you try the way yet where you must put a dummy file named welcome.??? (cant recall the extension) in the root of youre phone?
EDIT: make a textfile and make sure extensions are visible and renamle the WHOLE name (including .txt) to welcome.not in the root of youre phone, then restart it and normally voila
I was able to get past the alignment screen but am unable to align it. It just keeps cycling as I press the markers. The touch screen is way out of alignment.
i d that before and i did a hard reset.
in my rom came de alignment after a soft reset so deleted it with startup manager
I was able to get past the screen by deleting the welcome.lnk with pocket controller. My beggest problem is that I can't calibrate the screen in order to make the touch screen usable. I do not know what the problem is. The screen responds when I touch the marker and goes through the cycle but never stops. I have tried going through it as much as 30 times portrait and landscape and it will not accept the alignment.
