Every rom i flash works fine but whenever i soft reset it gets stuck at the bootup screen for ever ive tried 3 different roms now. The only way to get it to work again is holding volume down+power and reflashing a new rom. Any ideas on whats wrong?

first check your radio version is correct, (i.e if you have a 576 enabled rom, make sure the radio is a ..50.. version)
If not that, do a task 29.

Hi All,
I have an HTC HD Touch which was running Win 6.1 and I flashed the rom to Win 6.5 found on the Rom thread here. It seemed to work ok and was running for about a day. Since then it turned it self off, and now the screen does not come on. It appears to be on as if you dial it ti will ring, but nothing on the screen.....is there a way to flash it back or have I fried it?
Many thanks in advance
hi, strange behavoir, i've you tried to hard reset the phone? or just enter the bootloader?
To enter in the bootloader
Press and keep pressed "vol dn" then press the power button, you should enter in a red, green, blue, white screen.
If you can enter there and your screen is on, then I think an hard reset is what you need.
WARNING, hard resetting the phone will erase all your data on it, not the SD Card just the phone. Just for be sure, take out the sd card before hard resetting.
To hard reset press and keep pressed "vol up" and "vol dn" key and press the power button. Then follow what's on the screen.
Hope it helps.
bye
What I'd also do is check your SPL. If you've flashed a wm6.5 rom you need to have the correct SPL to match. Did you use HSPL or USPL to flash rom? If HSPL, your SPL should state 1.56.Olinex if not then you need to change your SPL. If you used USPL, your SPL should state 1.54.0000. Again, if not you'll need to change your SPL
Follow this guideline here for flashing roms. The symptoms you are describing could be due to you having wrong SPL. Either way, its easily fixed
Hi All,
For the past few months I've been running a DFT NAND build of Android. Yesterday, the phone was running extremely slowly with some odd behavior in the Android menus. When I restarted the phone, loading got as far as the DFT splash screen but then nothing else would happen.
I have since used MAGLDR (1.11) to attempt to boot a fresh Android image from SD card but this hasn't worked. Have managed to use the USB Loader to attempt to flash another NAND build (both Android and WP7) but even though the download process completed, this still didn't work and am stuck in MAGLDR now.
Have read through the forums here and have tried most (if not all) of the suggestions, however nothing seems to be working.
Can anyone offer anymore advice?
Thanks,
Kev
As MAGLDR gets removed if you flash a stock winmo rom I suggest you to try that!
Before you install the winmo rom you can also use Task29 to completely wipe the nand.
good luck
Thanks,
I shall give that a try this evening.
Kev
Unfortunately none of the suggestions have worked. I'm unable to flash a stock WM6.5 ROM as the RUU doesn't detect the phone.
The device does show up in Windows as a Microsoft USB Sync device, however.
Task 29 does not work either due to the same problem.
I've attempted to flash a new Android ROM release but when the phone reboots, it gets stuck on the green HTC logo screen and won't proceed any further.
I don't seem to be able to get MAGLDR 1.13 on the phone either, as DAF.exe complains about some "Config load failed" error.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Kev
*sigh*
you need to read up on "how to flash stock rom from sd card". no need for RUU i believe; sd card method involves copying a file extracted from the stock RUU and placing it in the root of your sd card and letting bootloader detect and flash the file. search for a tutorial or see the stickies.
once you've done that, make a special note about the part that says you need to boot into bootloader (hold down volume down + turn on phone + keep holding volume down until a 4-color screen appears). i suspect you are not doing this step, this is why windows, mtty, etc are unable to detect the device.
if you have already done the above, ignore my post
*sigh* too.
I've already tried flashing from the SD card but I have the same problem. I get to a green HTC loading screen and nothing else happens. I just get stuck in a reboot to MAGLDR and try again loop.
I've read through plenty of posts on flashing custom ROM's and troubleshooting but nothing has helped.
I don't get a 4 colour screen when holding down VOL-DOWN and the power button, the phone just goes into MAGLDR.
Kev
Just to add to that, Windows DOES detect the device but the RUU doesn't. Only the DAF applications find and can talk to the device.
follow me
1. is the battery have enough jiuce? what HSPL you use? hope its HSPL3 2.08HSPL
2. bootloader . . . .
Thanks for your post.
Plenty of juice in the battery.
I believe it is HSPL 2.08 (well, whichever allowed me to get Android on the thing in the first place)
Bootloader what?
Kev
getting into boot loader (4-color screen) is the key to the whole flash with sd card method.
keep trying. read on how to enter bootloader.
i can remember a few ways.
DEVICE IS ON
1. if phone is already on, hold down volume down (keep it pressed HARD)...don't let go of it!
2. push the little reset button under the battery cover. don't let go of the volume down button!
3. don't let go of the volume down button until the 4-color screen appears.
DEVICE IS OFF
1. remove the battery. reinsert it after a few seconds.
2. hold down volume down (keep it pressed HARD)...don't let go of it!
3. tap the end call button and don't let go of the volume down button until the 4-color screen appears.
remember, entering bootloader is the key.
EDIT: it is better to ensure you have sufficient battery. however, flashing via bootloader SKIPS the battery level checks.

in post 4 you noted you tried task 29 but was successful
you are not even familiar with bootloader, ??? makes me wonder
I'm very familiar with a bootloader, your "bootloader..." comment confused me.
Task 29 was unsuccessful. I've read in a number of posts that you can use Task 29 and start from scratch back at the original bootloader (rather than MAGLDR) but this obviously isn't the case.
Holding down the VOL-DOWN key does nothing other than get me to MAGLDR, which is what happens even if I don't hold any keys down.
I fully understand that the key is entering the bootloader, nothing seems to let me get there.

briefly press power/call button
now your in bootloader
this will show your hspl
Battery removed
VOL-DOWN held
Powered on
VOL-DOWN still held

if you are now unable to enter bootloader
in this manner, there is only one thing i can think of
you got a bricked device,
you might get some help if you post your querry in the
HSPL thread, or PM cotulla and team
I'm of the same opinion; it is virtually bricked.
The stupid thing is that if I select Android Flasher from MAGLDR, I'm able to flash a different version of Android to NAND but it just won't boot.
Will try a different forum.
Thanks,
Kev

I have the same problem...does the HD2 charge itnself in Magldr ?
After flashing MAGLDR113 to install an NAND build my htc get freezed in the startingscreen. I can´t get into the bootloader and i also can´t do an hardreset.
What else can i do to get my hd2 working? I hope you can help me.
maybe usefull:
radio rom 2.15.50.14
Goatrip stock rom
greets schueffi
phone completely off
press power to turn on, but keep it pressed, dont let go.
phone will vibrate as it starts, then you see the first boot screen, (keeping power pressed still) then the screen jumps black with yellow at teh top, keep pressing power until teh menu items apear.
thanks but i´ve tryed that for many times but nothing happend...
is it possible to flash an rom without getting into the bootloader?
have anyone an other idea what i can do?
Not sure if this will help you, but I was being a noob and trying to use the touchscreen with magldr to select a menu item, but you're meant to use the volume up and down keys and the call button to select an item. To flash, select usb flasher. Hopefully that was of help
Hi, is there a solution for this? I have the same problem.
I wanted to install NAND Android on my HTC HD2 device actually running WM and Android on an SD card. I followed all the steps carefully:
I flashed HARDSPL with HSPL4
I updated the Radio version to 2.15.50.14
I installed MAGLDR113 and the installation gave me no problems, but when rebooting, the phone gets stuck in the initial screen and it doesn't either boot or let me go to the boot menu no matter for how long I press the power or the down volume button.
Anybody can help?
Thanks
Hi All,
I have been running a few NAND Android ROMS but seem to have an issue where pushing the power button on the HD2 no longer locks the phone, it just brings up the Power Off / Airplane mode options etc.
I think the button is damaged and sticking so wanted to go back to stock WinMo ROM to test this and if necisary send back for repair.
I have downloaded the stock O2 ROM from HTC.com but cant work out how to load this ROM. I presume I need to boot to HSPL?? only thing is I cant boot to it, I just get the MAGLDR screen.
Not sure if I'm doing something blatantly stupid or even if the button is not actually broken, although it does exactly the same in all Android builds I have tried. Is there a softkey that can be set to lock the screen?
Any adive much appreciated.
Thanks
Denno
Phone off
hold vol down
tap and release power
keep holding vol down till coloured screen apears
plug in usb, wait for serial to chnge to usb, run the flash.
If you have the 3.14 stock you also need to run hspl4 and choose 3.03.0000
Or
flash from sd card (look it up) will do both the flash and set 3.03.0000 all in one go.
