Screen alignment problem with t-mobile

hi everyone today i have noticed screen alignment problem with my t-mob mda vario 2 , it has serial number HT632xxxxxxxxxxx . it has been almost a week since i ve got it and this is the first time i have noticed it. The only difference since last night is 2 app i have installed. one is ae button plus and other one is pocket music. now i have removed them and tsting it again. will post further.
is there any one having smilar issues?

I Just hard reset mine, did not load EXT ROMs and I'm on my 3rd day now...

since ihave removed aebutton plus it seems fine but you know once you have seen such thing you get bit suspicious about everything.
I have also emiled developer of aeb but not sure if he will reply.
and I have also asked tmobile what would be the solution. they don't recognize screen alignmet issue as a fault yet and advised me not to belive everything on the net :S
they also won't replace device but refer me to htc. I don't know if another support guy would tell different but since I ve still got some time until free to cancel period over, if I get same problem again I will cancel my contract and stick with old wizard some time

change it.
i go back to my seller (before 15 days) dans i change it, now ht630xxx and no probleme

i have cancelled my contract with t-mobile. gprs connection was crap here

That is illegal under the 2000 amendment to the Sales of Goods and Services Act 1982. Anything that fails within the first six months after sale will be deemed to have failed at the point of sale and you have the choice of repair, replacement or refund.

but problem is, fault is very hard to demostrate. it reminded me my sony digital camera, power button wasn't responding time to time and randomly, i have sent it to sony explained whats happening. after a week i ve got reply. they were explaining how to operate cameras power button!!!
another example is today before i have cancelled my contract i was asking customer care why its almost pain to connect to internet in my area . after sendin trace and ping results via email response i ve got was:
I have received your e-mail as re your issues I have looked in to this as the software is not supported by t-mobile you would need to contact Microsoft for further support

I think that if you look in the warranty you will find that this is incorrect. If you speak to HTC and give them the IMEI, they will be able to assist you further.

I just loaded everything on my unit... and it's back to once a day misalignmnet ...!!
It could be the digitizer driver is being allocated to unstable segment of the memory. A dopod HK technician tried to replaced the digitizer and it's no use. He is waiting for the official ROM release for HK dopod 838Pro. It is still on hold here in HK.
He even mentioned that replacing the digitizer with a less responsive one (cheaper as he said) FIXES this issue. But it would be also costly for Dopod to replaced the hundreds released in Singapore. But waiting for a fix from HTC also costing them !!!
Well, it's purely marketing !!!

Need you help . I purchased a new Imate JASJAM after few days of using the PPC , i noticed a strange thing happening on my phone. All the application just closes automatically . when i open any apps it just closes within seconds , i am just able to receive calls and no other functions work . I took it to the imate service center couple of times now but after they handed over the phone to me , the problem persists after using the phone for 2 days . It seems very strange to me . Request your help/suggestion and solution to control this problem so that i can use the PPC again without any problems

What did the service center tell you was wrong with it?
And have you tried just doing a system restore?

The service center restored my mobile device from WM6 to WM5 as it was not compatible, earlier they thought it was an software issue and then the hard ware was also checked but to no avail. after sometime of working on the ppc , the programs just closes immediately within seconds of opening.

It should run WM6 just fine, they also have a wm6 rom for your device so that should tell you somthing.
sounds like they didnt know what was wrong with it.
Tell them your unhappy with it and you want a replacment, thats if u havent unlocked it>
Or maybe someone else here willl reply with a better solution.
To me though it sounds faulty

Well the phone is not under any warranty , checked lots of links in google but never helped . Just hopes somebody comes out with a solution . Already have paid enough for service of the phone at the service center .....pls help

If you got the phone from a legit source it should have had some type of warrenty at one time. And if so was it in for repairs during that period. Just asking cuz thats your proof that the problem was never resolved and they should still provided you with a replacement.I could be wrong but Id look into it more.

Ok, real long shot. We have several Jasjams. One of our Jasjams had an issue with a broken OK button (near the scroller). The button just stopped working altogether. Is it possible that yours has lost it's click and it keeps pressing ok, shutting the programs? If that's the case, see if it's possible to reset the function for the broken button in the settings.

Hi there, what ver of WM6 you upgraded to? the ok button theory seems true, but just tell me what WM6 did u use? did u try 1 Version only or you tried many?
if you think this is a OS problem, try upgrading to Schap's 4.22 or TNT.SE, these are the best two versions ever, i am using Schap's on my JASJAM and its just perferct wihtout flaws, try installing it and see what happens with you.

if you bought it from a legit place and haven't put any cooked roms on you should be able to get it replaced if it goes bung in the first month. the store should replace with no questions asked if there is a problem that they cant resolve..... imate also has a years warranty on new phones so you should be able to send to them and be fixed AT NO COST TO YOU (excluding postage).
suggest taking back and if they say theres no problem test b4 taking out of the shop. all the help i can give, Cheers.

Help needed!

I have bought an Xperia X10 from Ebay and now get stuck on start screen shows me the start-up animation continous.What i can do my Pc sees my Xperia like Xperia X4 instead of X10 and doesn't find any driver.

first off i find it interesting that you joined jan 2008 and THIS is your first post!
if you've been here since then you'd probably have noticed by now that most people include as much information as possible when posting if they want their question answered.
And.. not to mention you probably noticed each forum has subforums with different categories.. like the one for GENERAL? I don't see Android DEVELOPMENT having anything to do with your phone not starting.
let's start over.
A. what version of the phone did you buy? unlocked?
B. what carrier are you using it on?
C. is there a SIM or a microSD in the device when you are attempting to boot it up?
D. What version of windows are you trying to connect your device to?
we might have a better understanding of what's going on if you could answer these questions for us.

Killerskincanoe i use my acount only for tutorials,downloading applications and roms and till now i didn't have any problems with my phones.
I bought the phone from Ebay unlocked and i used with Vodafone but worked fine with Orange..etc.
My phone is Prototype Ap1 and my Pc sees it like Xperia X4 but the phone is 100% Xperia X10 because i used few weeks and everything worked right.
I tried to boot it up with/without sim or card and nothing changes.
I'm using Windows7 64.
Krabman i don't know the combinations of buttons to try an hard reset and i can't install the driver.
Sorry for my english.
Any help will be apreciated.

I would contact SE to get the button combo for the reset as its not in the manual which only shows the menu path. You did pull the battery and let it set for a few minutes before putting it back in right?

Hi. (Hai noroc.. )You can try the following. Go to the official sony ericsson website, and download UPDATE SERVICE. Start it, then follow these steps:
-Remove and re-insert the battery (make sure it's more than half)
-Press the back (<-) button while connecting the phone to your PC (keep pressing untill further notice)
-Usually after the phone has been correctly recognised, it will let you know.
Even if it's a prototype it should work and update the SW.
My only concern is.. How the hell did you manage to buy an acceptance unit online?!..
And more.. WHY did you get it? It's a known fact that prototypes are the most unstable..
Anyway.. if the update service doesn't work.. It's most probable that is a very early proto, or a chinese replica like reb0rn said.

I had this exact same thing happen to me today. i sent a text message at midnight last night it sent fine and i went to bed. i wake up at 4 am for work and i have had this issue all day. full signal but its not connecting to a network.
If you happen to find an answer before anyone replys could you post the fix please, it would greatly help. and i will do the same.

I have tryed a full wipe and flashing a new rom just to se if it would help since this issue occured aswell, ive also tried taking the sim out and back in and restting and manually selecting my network provider to no avail.

ialright buddy, i just checked my imie number and it appears to be incorrect, this would result in not being able to make/recieve calls,texts. ive still not found a fix for the note 3 yet if i find one i will post it. It might be worth a check on your phone too. press *#06# in your phone dialer to display the imie on the phone, then cross reference it with the imie number on the box your note was supplied in (providing you still have the box).

i can not access odin at this period in time becasue i dont have access to windows enabled pc or laptop atm. i will give it ago myself asap (probably a few days time) if this doent work or someone else hasnt chimed in with any suggestions i am giving up on this piece of **** phone.
I dont mind bricking a device (to a degree) through my own tinkering or error. But for a phone to work fine then 4 hours later when i wake up suddenly being ****ed, is just rediculous and makes no sence.
only thing i can think of as a slight possibility (and not very likely) is i have been using crash rom since it came out and have the OTA updater installed, maybe it tryed auto updating itself over night and ****ed up resulting in these issues

Put your sim card into another phone and check if it works?
Just to make sure there is NOT any problem with your sim card or your mobile service provider.

Thats a not a bad shout, will give it a go. thanks always fail to over look the obvious

And also try another sim in your phone... Maybe the sim card is not being read - hardware problem

Thanks alom, this is my first micro sim phone so i dont have a spare sim to test it with myself, i will pop down to vodafone tomoz and borrow a sim of them and try mine out in one of their phones.

Went down vodafone today and tryed their sims. Their cards do not work in my phone but mine works in their phones. The lady in the shop said to re flash the stock rom and factory reset it and they will send it off as a hardware failure rather than software and hopefully they dont notice the knox has been tripped. She then said if they do notice and refuse to fix it, to put a brick through the screen and make an insurance claim.

EDIT:: it'll go to a Vodafone repair shop anyway, so they won't notice KNOX tbh. If they do, then LOL at them for actually doing their job..

Looks like it be a easy fix for them. It was nice of them to say all that and be so helpful. Looks like they know what they talking about for a change lol. ..

hehe i wasnt expecting it perhaps she had a rooted/custom rom phone too she seemed to know alot about it, she also said that the latest official OTA update from samsung has been causing this issue for lots of people on the Note 3, she thought thats what the problem initially when i said i had no service, so perhaps my blower auto updated itself whilst i was asleep if i didnt have auto update disabled? either way someones dropped the ball at samsung if there knackering phones using the OTA update.

Visit the mentioned EE thread if you`re legit and straighten it out, supposedly it is reported as stolen or fraudulus somehow. No one will help you here and i suggest that you delete this thread or you will be reported. Discussing these things are illegal on XDA!
