I had installed HSPL tried to install HSPL2-Run and the installation stopped in the middle and left me a message: HSPL IS DUNE since got deleted the HSPL went back to the SPL 142 and when I try to install again HSPL from different kind of shows me a screen three colors is followed by a white screen Rewrite him LOADING device we get stuck and when I take out the battery Machshr Neidlk acts which re-update but not a rum or HSPL.
Does anyone have a solution? I want to upgrade ROM, but I am afraid to do so without HSPL
Thanks for help.
Try HSPL 1.
Once the update has completed you'll get a message on the phones screen
'We Hacked It'
You'll then get a message on the computer asking if you can see 'we hacked it on your phone' - click yes and then wait til the phone boots into Bootloader.
It should now say HSPL
I Think you may have unplugged your phone during the We Hacked it screen - this is too early - i've done the same myself and wondered why it didnt work.
But just another note -- Never Install a cooked ROM without HSPL!!!
I tried but the black screen installation which ran from 1 to 100 does not cost at all but we get stuck on the white screen of the device we get stuck LOADING

Hello!
I tried to unistall HSPL from my HD2 by installing 1.66 ROM from Sunnysoft. I put leoimg.nbh on my memorycard and got into bootloader mode to install this rom. At the beginning everything was fine, i pressed the power buton and installation started but after a few seconds a screen with 4 colours appeared. And now, nothing can bring my leo to life: hard reset, task29, installing rom directly from usb or doing again this process. I don't know what to do . Help me, please. (I want to sell this phone)
It seems that you have interrupted you update-process which is not good...
Try this: Another try from your SD, don't worry if it switches on and off while the progress; it is finished, when there's "Update SUCCESS"on your screen", before you shouldn't touch it.
If it does not work, install HardSPL again; bring phone directly into bootloader-mode (coloured stripes) and run HSPL2, install some ROM; I guess your failed update has already brought you back stock SPL, so that you cannot use RUU or Task29.
I waited a long time (2 hours) after this 4 colour screen appeared and nothing happened. But i'll try installing HSPL one more time. Thank you for the reply. I'll post a reply if it works.
Ok, it helped but when i again tried to install 1.66 from sd card, again after installing the first part appeared OK and then phone restarted and appeared the inscription: Not allowed and again 4 colour screen
Could I unistall the HSPL by installing 1.66 ROM by usb cabel not by sd card?
No, you can't. Try another SD. And again. Do not touch your phone once the process has been started. Take out the battery when there is "SUCCESS" on the screen in highlighted letters. Then put it back in again and normally start your phone.
EDIT: Make sure, that you really take the ROM that you originally had on your HD2 (branded, unbranded, aso.), no matter what version.

you haven't given any details about your phone whether its a eu or us version also what radio or hspl you are using.
id say 1st step, try to update hspl, select 2.08 then try task 29 again
sorry
eu version
Radio: 2.15.50.14
WinMo: OzDROID ROM 2.00
Android SuperHD2_v14
kernel 8.5
hspl3 2.08
tried to flash task29 from sd card and that worked, but didn't help. i can't still install a stock rom, but can install for example Ozdroid but that don't help much, it still white screen when i turn it on
I had something similar I ended up sending it for repair and got a new phone as they were unable to remedy the problem. Maybe you will need to do the same.
oki, but what about when it is HSPL and warranty.
it could be nice to flash it to stock rom first, before sending it in. but it says fail when it comes to Radio_v2 on installation from sd card
Can anyone help me please... I'm trying to upgrade the rom to the latest HTC HD2 rom for O2. I connect the phone via USB, sync it and then run the RUU program from HTCs website. The phone starts the process and boots the phone to the 4 colour screen and then to the black HTC progress screen and then it hangs on 0% for a few minutes until the utility finally tells me its lost connection with the phone (Error 262). I've done soft resets and hard resets. Disabled firewalls. Tried on another machine. Even ran the utility under XP SP3 compatibility. Still no joy. Can anyone help?? Thanks
Sounds like you might have a bad USB cable or that you are having timing out problems. First forget about the ActiveSync. All ActiveSynce does is help insure hour HD2 is ready to be flash by checking the battery level and such. Power your HD2 on but hold the volume down button down while powering on. When you see the tri color bootloader screen connect hour USB cable and wait for the Serial in the white bar of bootloader to change to USB and then right click the RUU of the ROM and select run as administrator. If this still does not work I would try another USB cable.

Thanks for this... i followed your instruction and used 2 different cables. No joy.
Anything else I can try that doesn't involved the device suffering a sudden impact with the nearest wall??
Cheers

hmm....if you are trying to flash stock rom which is not intended for your device, you need HSPL or Gold card.
There are threads in Windows Mobile 6.5 section that will guide you on installing HSPL or making a Gold Card.
Good luck

Well here's the thing, my phone is locked to O2. I'm trying to install the latest ROM from HTCs website for O2 customers. For the life of me I cant get it to install. I did install HSPL a few months ago when I tried to run Android from the SD card. That didnt work either. Like I say, I've done a hard reset. Could the HSPL thing be causing an issue. How do I get rid of it.
I hate being a noob sometimes!!

To get rid of HSPL you just have to run the HSPL Utility avain and choose the correct SPL version for your ROM when it asks what version you want to flash. Remember HSPL has the stock SPL versions to, click on the link in my sig to download HSPL 4. Hint thecstock SPL versions all have four zeros at fhe end and the HSPL version do not.
You said you are getting error 262, this usually means you don't have the right SPL or HSPL one of the two atleast that is if I remember correctly. What ROM are you trying to flash and what does it say in bootloader right now?

Hi... Been away so only just got this reply.
The rom I'm trying to install is a stock rom update from the HTC website:
O2 (UK): 3.14.206.1
For the record, my phone is an O2 phone.
As for Bootloader? It currently says:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x40
Hope that helps. Really bugging the arse off me this is.
get hspl2,
put phone into bootloader manually first and connect usb lead
(thats why it was timing out on you ((error 262)) because the connection takes too long to reconnect when it reboots from winmo into bootloader, , if you do it yourself first, that solves this error 99% of the time.)
when 'serial' changes to 'usb' run hspl2, choose 1.66.0000 (i recommend this because 2.08.0000, whilst stock, is a tmous stock, so 'may' give problems, , totally unconfirmed, but i had issues recently removing android/magldr whilst spl was 2.08.0000, i switched to 1.66.0000 and it worked straight away, i have a slight hunch that spl 2 doesnt like to be downgraded in some circumstances, , if you preffer you could use hspl4 and go straight for 3.03.0000, since that is whjat your 3.14 rom will install anyway when you flash it)
when it reboots saying its done, immediately hold voldown to re-enter bootloader
when serial changes to usb, run your 3.14.exe

Ignore that..
Mate - you're a genius. Followed your instructions and it worked like a charm.
Cheers pal. You saved my brain
Erm, not sure how much more basic i can make it. (Ignore my descriptions, just follow the steps)
Power off, hold voldown, power on keeping voldown held,, see multi striped coloured screen, that's bootloader, you can flash from this screen.
First you should try without bothering to change the spl.
Enter bootloader and connect USB, run the 3.14 you downloaded. That's it.
If it doesn't work, try changing spl as in my previous post by entering bootloader, and instead of running the 3.14 you run hspl instead.
As for writing a guide, you already read the various "how to flash.." guides (there are several) and watched the (also several) YouTube guides before you even started this thread,,, didn't you? Didn't you?? If not then shame on you!
Post back and ill check tomorrow.
Ok guys so I could use some help here. I bought a new (used) HD2 yesterday. It is the TMOUS version and I am having every problem I could possibly imagine with it. When I bought it the phone would only boot to the pink T-Mobile screen. It wouldn't go any further than that. I have been able to succesfully able to boot it into the 3 color bootloader screen and am able to flash HSPL using the HSPL4 program. I have successfully flashed both 2.08 and 3.03 HSPL. One time I was even able to flash MAGLDR 1.13 but when it booted into MAGLDR it only showed a black screen with MAGLDR at the top. It didn't give me any options to do anything. I believe that it is because MAGLDR only works with radio 2.15 from what I have read, but I can't seem to get that radio or any other for that matter to flash to the phone. It gets stuck at 96% then I get a connection error. I have no idea what radio it currently has or had as I have done a task 29 a couple of times and it flashes correctly but doesn't change anything. I have tried it on two different computers using 2 different operating systems (XP, WIN7). I have searched until my eyes bleed and done everything I can think of I have been working on this for a little over 12 hours now and I am ready to throw this phone against the wall, so could someone please help me save my sanity and get this thing working or at least tell me that I am SOL and nothing I can do will fix it.
Edit well now I think it is officially bricked. I tried flashing Radio Leo 2.15.50.14 that I got from DFT_LEO70_RELEASE and it stopped at 16%. The recovery wizard came up and I did exactly what it said and now the phone won' reboot into the bootloader or do anything for that matter.
if you get the 3 colour screen then it likely the phone will work, you need to start from scratch
use this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
I would task 29 then instal a stock rom, if that works and it should providing you have not installed an incorrect radio, then consider a custom rom
Have you tried pressing and holdingthe up and down Volume buttons and then press the power button?
The 2.15.50.14 would not normaly brick the phone iirc
time patience and following the instructions is what you need, Good luck
A friend gave me his non-working HD2 to try fix. It would only boot to a white screen (no HTC logo). I was able to get to the multicoloured screen by pressing the vol down + power button. I tried flashing the latest RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship rom via USB but repeatedly it got as far as 1% then gave me an error 270 message. I then extracted the image, copied it an sd card and tried to install from the card. It seemed to go ok until it stopped at 4% then rebooted. I now get as far as a white screen plus HTC logo but no further. Any attempt to flash another rom from the sd card gives an error 00028002 'not allowed' then I get the multicoloured screen but the SPL has changed to 3.03.0000 from I think 2.08 but I can't be certain. Perhaps with hindsight I should have written down what the old screen said!
Any ideas to rescue the situation willingly accepted.
Thanks,
Geoff.
With SPL being stock, you don't have many options. You can try flashing HSPL and then stock winmo/other OS. Or you can try to flash original stock through SD.
By the way, if the device was originally broken because of an overheating issue, you might have to cool the device before attempting to flash anything.
Good luck.

the first thing to happen when you sd card flash a stock rom, is that hspl gets removed, or if it isnt present, teh stock spl gets updated to teh one contained in teh new rom. Then the phone reboots into the new bootloader, and flashing starts.
What happened to you is it removed hspl, rebooted, and the fresh 3.03.0000 detected that the rom region/carrier doesnt match the phones region/carrier, and so failed.
That being said, teh fact that it wouldnt flash over usb is worrying, im leaning towards a faulty phone, but its early days yet.
Try setting hspl again, hspl4, set 3.03.hspl (not .0000) and try flash the rom you listed again, over usb, and report back.

I've got a very similar problem to this. My phone only boots to a blank white screen. When I hold the volume down button when turning it on, I can get to the bootloader.
From there, sometimes I can set 3.03 hspl, but most of the time the phone freezes at 0%. If I try to flash a stock rom, it stays frozen at 0%. If any of these updates work, then it still only boots to the HTC logo on the white screen.
I'm trying to flash via USB, could this be a faulty phone? I wonder what could be faulty?

yea sounds like it, lots of reports of exactly this, some kind of hardware probably, though JTAG may help.
