BBConnect 4.0.0.76 HP 514 smartphone

Hi all,
I have buyed an HP 514 (wm6 standard) and I tried to install the BBConnect above several times. The setup procedure seems ok but after the first screen for selecting Calendar, Contacts and/or Tasks to synchronize, in the second one I continue to see Connection -> Not configured and I cannot make the wireless synch.
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance.
Alex
Any news?
Has anyone able to give me tips concerning my request? Has anyone know if my smartphone is compatible with bbconnect 4.0.0.76? Or, is there another new version (for smartphone) to install?
Thanks,
Alex

avaya one-x mobile client WM6.1

using HTC Cruise, we had to flash the original WM6, and replace it with WM6.1 version that comes with VoiP dialer. the device started connection with the SIP server, and make and recieve calls with no problem. the next step was to install the avaya one-x mobile client due to the need for dual voip/GSM functionality, and there started the problem.
the device can not connect with the sip server, and only works on GSM mode.
we have followed some suggesgtions to edit the reg files and with no luck.
What we are suspecting is the HTC built in dialer, which seems to be still enabled.
now the question for those who suceeded getting this thing running; do we have to remove the built in dialer, and if yes then how?
We have searched all availbel sites and forums, and found this forum to be the best, and most active one. We certainly need your help and suggestions to solve this problem.
Thank you, in advance and have a good one.
I would be interested to know if you ever found a way around this issue?

VOIP software...Whats the latest now?

hello evryone,
sorry if this has been mentioned many times.
i have my beloved HTC TD, with shine 2.4 Full and Radio 05.
i am pleased with it , only missing part is to be able to use VOIP/Sip Calls.
i have been browsing this forums for many pages, and there are many unsolved and unfinished threads about the voip problem in HTC TD.
1. SJphone
2. Sip config tool
3. hidden sip manager
4. wm61voip.cab
i have tryed all, and i havent had luck yet to be able to use my voipbuster account on my phone..
My last phone was a nokia n95, symbian, was soo easy to setup voip and make quality calls, please dont tell me that a windows mobile is that hard to enable sip calls
so has anyone a define working solution for voip/sip on HTC TD? or is this half dead topic for now?
thanx
Sonic
Hi Sonic,
I have finally managed to make VOIP possible to work on my TouchD, I dont exactly remember the actual post but I will say that all the credit goes to the XDA Developer forum who has got some decent people eager to help.
Basically my problem was the TomTom's GPS com port was getting engage whenever VOIP was enabled, but finally solved the problem.
Procedure and necessary files attached (You have to only download Resco Explorer)(http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/default.asp)
Let me know please.

Hi Sonic,
I'm using SJPhone without any trouble with a Justvoip account (another Finarea voip, like VoipBuster).
I give you how I did the configuration for it:
On General, in name you put VoipBuster, Type SIP Proxy
Iniatialization: mark all in account and password
SIP Proxy: Proxy domain: sip.voipbuster.com, port 5060; User domain (your username). Mark Register with proxy and Proxy is strict outbound
on the last tab (stun) put in server address: stun.voipbuster.com with port 3478
And that's all. You need to have credit in your voipbuster account. You must put the password in the 1st time use in your SJPhone.
Cheers,
Gonzalo

hey mate, so far so good, i have done everythig in the steps.
only problem is the
12. Start > Setting > Today > Items TAB > TICK-ON "Internet Calling"
my today screen doesnt show any of those extra item i can add. only touchflow 3d. and call history and calender. is it because the shine 2.4 is limited to show morE? or how can i add more on today screen.
thanx
okey i turned off the tf3d and then i was able to see the voip: no service.,
it keeps saying no service. hmm. i am on 3g. can i force it connect somehow?
Sonic
hmm okey here is somethig funny,
i started opera to force my phone to use 3g data., and voila, the internetcalls: sip said available. like it logged into it. then i click on it and it said selected.
then i choose contact and tryed to call, it gave me error:
cannot complete the call. the signal may be unavailbe or the phone number may not be valid please try again.
i have the +45andphonenumber when i call.
hmm
Sonic
p.s i can definetly see that the GPS is completly broken now. it cant catch anything.
its a lost cause really. i have been reading about it.
and its too much hassle, unfortunatly. and it also says that when installing wm6voip it wil mess up the gps. and i need the gps so.,
im gonna skip voip on htc for now. untill maybe a proper solution comes out.
i might try SJpone with wifi sometime. but im gonna uninstall all the voip drivers now and hope that i can get my gps running,
thanx for the help Sidd. i appericiate it.

Hi Sonic,
That is such a shame as you have already decided to quit VOIP on your device.
If you follow the instructions as it is then there is no doubt that it wouldn't work, as I have HARD-Reseted my Diamond 4 times since I have got this procedure and everytime I am going through the same procedure and everytime VOIP & TomTom GPS really works.
And yes on 3G & HSDPA connection as well as WiFi (obviously Wifi is much faster & clearer all the time)
For the issue of TODAY entry you have to use the application "2nd Today" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=401907)(I can't send you the screenshot as my Diamond is off for replacement for the bloody short battery life)
Actually 2nd Today will change one of the soft key on the main/Home Tf3D screen to your defined word e.g. VOIP, once you click that soft button, the TF3D will hide and you would see your normal Today screen, on this screen you have another Soft Button to go back to TF3D. Simple
For the issue of making a call some VOIP providers indicate to attach a "9" before the number to let the provider understand that you are calling from a handheld device not from PC (e.g. actual number 555666333, Dialing number from handheld 9555666333), check your VOIP provider thay must say something regarding this.
Anyway GoodLuck

Tested. Works a treat.
It's just that sometimes, it doesn't detect when I get connected to the wifi, I have to turn internet call off and then reset it on 'whenever available' for it to sense that the phone is connected to the internet.

I have VOIP running on my Diamond from day one while using GPS in Ozi, TomTom, TrackMe and other software as you can see from attached Today screen also VOIP is active. The trick is that you need to kill one file after installing VOIP. This file DNSapi.dll is preventing you to use your GPS. After deleting it and soft reset it will create automatically a new DNSapi.dll and all will be well.
Do the following after you have VOIP installed and working. (and your GPS is killed)
In your Today screen set Internet calling OFF
Soft reset
Use file explorer or Total Commander to delete DNSapi.dll
Soft reset
Switch Internet Calling ON
Ready.
Finally! GPS stays working! Howeverrrrrrrrr... Unlike the other version of the VoIP cab I used, this one let's the sound go over the EXTERNAL speaker... and that sucks balls... (Sorry for my choice of words ) Everyone can hear what I hear...
In other words... How do I fix this? VoIP over the internal speaker AND let GPS work...
I seem to be having problems calling mobiles... Everything else works fine, including GPS...
Can I change something in the dialplan to make it work? if so, what?

You have to keep the Today Voip plugin as "Available", you have to only click and "Selected" it once you have to make a VOIP call.
In the situation of "Available" you will still be able to receive the VOIP & normal calls.
In other word, if you will select the voip then you can not use the normal phone.
So keep it on "Available".

Yes this is the problem and I think there is no solution for that untill unless you try to use a Bluetooth headset (I haven't tried this idea by myself).
Let me know if you try this option.

Sorry, my bad, I didn't explain very well... I understand what you've said above, and of course I only use 'selected' while I want to make a voip call, but when in that state I am unable to make voip calls to mobiles... I get an error telling me the number may be invalid

Winmobile 6.1 Questions

Hi all,
I am new here and do have a new shiny Blackstone PDA.
First-off, please excuse me, for I do not know the right English terms for the applications of Windows Mobile 6.1.
As I do use a German O2 "branded" Touch HD with my E-Plus SIM-Card, I will put the German terms in ( ) behind the assumed English terms.
While configuring my new toy, I stumbled over one thing that did not please me at first.
The "Messaging" application of Windows 6.1 seems to connect to the preset in Connection-Center to find in Start - Configurations (Einstellungen) - Connections (Verbindungen) - Connection-Center (Verbindungen).
So that, if I am on WiFi-Connection and set the PDA to auto-connect to E-Plus Network for auto-connecting applications, it will still uses GPRS/3G to synchronize my emails.
I did notice that if I switch the preset to ISP, it nicely uses the WiFi connection to update mails.
I did find out that G-Profile is able to start programs on profile-switching. So now to my questions:
1. What is the name of the "Connection-Center (Verbindungen)" program?
2. Does it parse parameters and if so what parameter to set the preset connection?
For example, WINDOWS\SYSTEM\APP.EXE /set-network ISP or WINDOWS\SYSTEM\APP.EXE /set-network E-Plus
Thanks for any answers in advance,
XDA-Sez
Anybody?
Hmmm nobody, who knows something about this question?

Samsung WM6.5 drivers not compatible with dlls. Please look at outdated cabs link above and go to last page for omnia solution. It works fine on my omnia with Wm6.1. I have tried on WM6.5 on Omnia with same results as yours.

Hi dhillonbros,
thanks for your new cabs. But now I am even not able to setup my SIP configurartion with Windows Mobile 6.1 on my Omnia II (as you know it is exactly the same ROM you have).
When trying to save the settings I always get the error message you can see in my attachments. What is going wrong here?
At least storing the settings worked for me with the latest outdated cab for WM 6.1. Do you think you can provide a fix?
That is not right. I have an Omnia 2 i8000 windows mobile 6.5 and I am able to use voip on my phone. It works great )!
1. Don't forget to follow the instructions from .txt file
2. I instaled portgo m
3. AutoAudioRoute V2.0
4. Copy paste dll in windows folder.
My PDA is i8000NXXJJ1

OK. Thanks a lot. Settings could have been applied now. But the error after submitting a call is still the same that I had before with the previous cab version.
See the message from the attached screenshot. I tried calling numbers like +491231234 as well as 00491231234 and 01231234 but the error is always the same.

There is nothing wrong with these cabs by looking on your images. either there is a problem with your local network or its your internet provider who doesnt supports or block voip packets. you only need one codec out of three, your phone wil self configure with provided codec. Can you untick SIP ALG service in both modem and router you may be using. If its not that then change your provider to voipvoip.com(US based). Let me know your results

My phone works great with other not integrated solutions like PortSIP or AGEphone Mobile, so my network is fine. And there should not be a problem with the codecs as well as PortSIP (I don't of the codecs AGEphone uses) uses G711U, G711A and GSM as well (I know of them because theses codecs are configurable over the GUI).
I use AVM FRITZ!Box 7390 as modem / router with its own SIP registrar. That means my Omnia II is configured to use my FRITZ!Box as a SIP server whereas my FIRTZ!Box is connected to my VoIP service provider (the popular German internet provider 1&1) and redirects the VoIP packets to them. It is totally transparent to the SIP client therefore no STUN / ALG (I never heard about ALG before) is used between the SIP client and my FRITZ!Box.
I am not willing to create an account at voipvoip.com because I definitely want to use the phone numbers I got from my ISP but I may provide you credentials for testing purposes to use a phone number from my ISP if you like.
PortSIP runs with the codec G711U as well as G711A with my provider 1&1. GSM does not work.
Moreover I tested a different VoIP configuration on my Omnia II against pbxes.org as an alternative to my routers SIP registrar with the same result.
I still assume a problem with the cabs. I really want to invite you to try to reproduce my problem by connecting against pbxes.org either by creating an own totally free account with registration to a SIP provider of your choice (I may help you with the configuration at pbxes) or by running against my own account at pbxes.org with a number of my ISP.
Please let me know whether you are interested then I will PM you the settings you need for temporary usage. Of course I will donate for your help.

Thanks for testing it out. On my omnia ii it is working with no problem with great voice clarity. I have changed few setting and tweaked for a-law. My provider is 2talk.co.nz. I still believe there must be some setting which needs enabling in your modem/router. can you bypass your routing by using differnt modem/router without server. Thanks

Hello again,
I already bypassed my router by configuring my pbxes.org account, didn't I? Anyway I now switched my router with integrated telephony services support by an older FRITZ!Box 3130 without telephony services to exclude any conflicts with reserved ports or somewhat else. And you know it: Same result.
Last but not least I tried a connection over 3G by activating that option within the configuration. But I failed already with selecting the service. The search action did not succeed.
I'm running out of ideas. What now? Shall I setup an account for you? I really wanna see whether you are able to reproduce my problem or not.
Thanks a lot.
