I got following problem:
I ve wanted to back up my wifi settings (HD2) including the keys (wep/WPA etc.)
I ve searched and found a tool wich makes a backup of the settings without the keys! The keys valve is ******** and not the key itself.
So the tool dosent work for me.
Is it possible to back up the settings including the keys???
or where are the keys stored? (found no reg keys)

It asks for the keys at first start to write them in its own database!
But i need to get the keys that already have been stored on my device!
anybody knows where the keys are stored or how to get them out of my/any device??? (Reg or something else)

is there any way to skip the touchscreen adjustment (cause it runs eternally & without result) after a hard reset?
I tried ...
1) ...to read everything posted here
2) ... the "press center button + calender button"
3) ...the camera-button + on/off-switch + reset button (which led me to a basic screen with "v1.02" (but since i use a Mac nowhere else)
Once I get to a running system I might be able to update the Software-Version, but since I get nowhere else but "Touchscreen"

also need a way to do that, maybe with some registry tweaks or so .. but cant connect to my mda vario when it is in adjust mode .. any1 can hlp? would be appreciated!

Hi all,
I am not sure how my KJam was originally, however now ( after a hard reset and install of new ROM) the main keys seem to be mapped correctly, however the symboles are not, so the # is actualy reached by pressing - sybol key+F and so on, has anyone else seen this or has a solution.
The ROM is Molski's latest.

I cannot enter the menu Settings\Connections\USB to PC , it simple do nothing. (i think it stop working after trying a SD to DISKMODE soft)
Can someone tell me what registry keys it use and modify ?
The only way to make it working again is a HARDRESET but i got too much software already instaled and backups carry the error that dont let me enter the menu.

Give the following a try. Dunno if it will be sufficient or working at all. (Make a backup before doing so).
Hope others will also post their findings.

Mine stopped opening a couple of days back. I wonder if we both carried out some identical activity that can be pinned down (not the above you suggested - does not apply to me). I had to hard reset 3 days ago and over past two days I've been reinstalling apps along with SKtools new app for me. Also been having problems not experienced before with Active sync wanting to set up new relationship on virtually every connection.
Anyway you try Menneisyys suggestion and I'll await your results. If evrything goes kaput I'll know not to bother.

it stop working again... this time I cannot make it work again and I cant pinpoint where is the trouble.

I have a T-Mobile MDA Compact III (aka HTC Hero) and I was trying to change some things in registry, also I owerwrited some dll witch had attribute ROM (using sktools). Now I have ppc with not working camera unfortunately. Will hard-reset fix my problem ? Will it give me correct registry and also all device dll to default settings ?
Yes, a hard reset will restore your device to the way it was when you first got it. It's like formatting your PC hard disk and re-installing Windows.

I have the same problem. When I start up the camera I get the message, the camer couldn't initialize. I have SKtools installed. Hopefully someone has an idea.

The golden rule to avoid having to hard reset is to always backup your phone before starting to mess around with the registry, that way you can undo any mistakes you've made.
I think that SKTools backs up the registry before deleting or changing some value so you may want to check up on that before hard resetting.
Hi guys, I need help. Today I hacked android device HTC Aria and installed WindowsCE 6.5! Everything working perfect expect hardware buttons (but volUp and volDown working). I want to change layouts for button keypad "call, home, menu, back, endcall". Where is stored preferences about hard keys, is this is in registry or it is in a dll? Thanks!
