Hello everyone, well, I know this un-related to the Hero, but it kinda isn't if you think about it. I need a pretty basic Debian 5 VPS, around 128 mb ram or so for 5 bucks or under. This is for my IRC server, ROM's and website. Anyone know of a place that has these? Renember, my budget isn't much, 5 bucks a month . Thanks in advance.
Jason
PS. I know how to use a VPS, so don't worry about that.

Hi guys,
I'm looking for users who could test some of my alpha and beta apps on devices that run WM5 and PPC2003.
For a mix of apps that I will have available for testing look at the coming soon stuff at http://www.andrewopala.ca.
The testing will be as simple as seeing if they install properly and if the keys, keyboards, and pen seem to work properly with the apps. Finally, seeing that they unistall properly.
Anyone with phones both on and off carriers that have Smartphone Signing Locks for Windows Mobile 5 application installs would be an asset.
In advance of your help here's a coupon for Blackjack that I recently posted on handango. The price for the game with the coupin is about $2.25US / 1.75€. THe coupon expires at the end of February: 79ED923F
THanks.

Forgot to attach the locations where you can download blackjack:
http://www.andrewopala.ca/spec/aoblackjack.1.0.0.spec.php
or
http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productId=202401
ill test some stuff on wm03 if you want,
also review it.
Sounds good - I'll have some 2003-targetted software also.
Can your device be upgraded to wm5?
BTW I putting on a tester-only forum on my site, so we won't polute this excellent board with specific nonsense.
It should be up on http://www.andrewopala.ca/forum soon. I'll drop a note in this group once it's up. There are a lot of people who have shown some interest, but we'll see how many have the time once we get this setup.
P.S. does anyone want the blackjack app for free? WM5 with CF 2.0 is required.
If so I'll drop the price to $5 so that the coupon will make it free. Let's say I get 4 yes's to this post. I'll drop the price until I see 4 purchases at zero.
Hi,
if you need a Wm5 device for beta testing my T-mobile vario II is at your disposal
The vario form factor is very nice with the keyboard slide-out and has it's uses. What processor does your model use?
It has the Samsung SC32442A-400MHz stacked cpu an ARM type processor.
I'm interested in testing some stuff for the TMO Dash.
The net price dropped to zero from the overwhelming demand on another board (4 responses! ). To restate:
The product is here: http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productId=202401
And the coupon is good unti lthe end of February: 79ED923F

I'd be happy to be a tester for you, particularly if there are games!
(Cingular 8125 running Molski's 2.26 custom ROM)
Hi guys, the forum has taken shape this week and we already have one patiently waiting tester.
The testor login is: http://www.andrewopala.ca/forum.
Once you create an account for yourself, the interface will ping me that you want to get on the board. I'll send you an email asking you to introduce yourself and let me know why you want to join. After that I'll wait for your response and then activate your account.
Please read the stuff in how to category. Then we can start writing a few docs on setting up the test environments - not a lot of work, but I expect it will be useful for everyone to be on the same page.
I'm in the eastern time zone (GMT-5), and for the time-being I'm the sys admin for www.sportpools.ca while the real admin is in Cuba for a holiday with his family, so I may be a day or two in responding to you after you sign in. My Sunday is busy with my family to don't expect much until Monday or Tuesday.

P.S. I really appreciate your interest and I know we all benefit from this.
Hey,
First of all, can the mods please not move this thread, i'm a big supporter of xda, and if you look at my site, I link back to this website a LOT, so maybe a bit of help from you
Basically I have no time for this site, but when I first had it up and running the first 4 months the hits just kept rising and rising, it's indexed well in google, and with a little bit of work, it can be a big earner. It run's itself pretty much, it had nearly 1000 subscribers 4 months ago, but they're not all gone I still have 400 (and it's been a long time since I last updated, so imagine how poular you can get it if you put a little bit of work).
I have started a new design + new features which I will give for you to complete as well (incorporates features where guests can upload, which is securely adds, after running some tests. It's something you have to see, its pretty clever).
It has a lot of potential with a little bit of work, and the admin panel is very very easy to use, you can control the whole site from it.
So for £100 I'm selling the domain, the website, all the files on my server.
Let me know if you're interested.
no one at all?
Bump lol...?
i'm interrested, but 100bucks is too much for me sry
How much you willing to offer?
I've no problem with people selling off their HD2s with Android installed on them but paid for guides on ebay is taking liberties...

a guy reading a few lines on xda (or similar) and selling the information anybody can get for free... what a shame... no comment here.
but the point is that ppl want to have everything without knowing anything. for example 15 years ago a few ppl were called experts because the knew how to use a pc. today my grandma calls herself expert because she is able to doubleklick the internet explorer icon...
I have some mates with devices I am nearly regulary upgrading and I wouldn't mind taking money for this because there are more request a week. Most of them are technical totally dumb (well let's say they are not familiar) but want to have the newest and best OS on their smartphones. So they should have the following options:
1. buy this f*****g ebay service listet above, or...
2. inform themeselves and DIY...
If they aren't willing to lern/read/inform they shall pay as much as possible.
just my 2 cents.

Fair point, well made. I guess he'll be kicking back some of his profits to the devs here at xda.
Hey guys was just browsing the black friday deals on walmart and they are selling a 89 dollar 7 in tablet with a intel medfield atom chip. It is running a x86 version of android according to http://tabtimes.com/news/ittech-os-...er-hps-7-inch-mesquite-android-tablet-sell-89. Looks interesting as it is a sub 100 x86 tablet but it is a little lite on other specs. Anybody have any more info on this device? Any advice on linux on these things? Thanx guys
Hope im posting this in the right section as it is news but I have questions. Feel free to move it to the right section.
Interesting, what's the screen resolution? I'm guessing 1024x600, but 1280x800 would be nice to have.
However, most people will be better off by spending a bit more and getting the Venue 8 for $129.
My biggest question is, how easy will it be to get Windows or linux running on it? What will the driver situation be?
We will have to wait and see
Yeah drivers are my biggest worry, that and ram. The x86 port of android is kinda weak. I've used one before and while the system itself is ok good luck finding apps for it that work. I know this sounds sad but im getting it basicly to play some old games that dont quite work right in dosbox .
Hey fellow XDA Users, I wanted to ask if there's a way to get a 64 bit OS onto the Fire 10 2019 which is also known as codename maverick or model KFMAWI
Its only a question of time when 32 bit Apps wont be developed anymore and as the CPU is a 64 bit CPU I would prefer to use the 64 bit mode.
From what I've seen 32 bit will reach the end of support next year which would truly be sad because the device is capable of doing more.
If there's any development or anything existing I'd be glad to hear so, I couldnt find anything on it yet tho, if I do, I will update this post.
Greetings and thanks for your time

This device was born with 32-bit user-space and will die with it.

Damn, its sad to see but looks like its the only thing right now, maybe it will be unlockable in some years and have a 64 bit ROM but by then its surely not worth to use anymore
