Hi,
I use FlexRom ( forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614713 ) and when I want to attach a file in Outlook Mobile, it just returns to the email after I clicked on the file. In Resco Photo Manager, when I click on "Send via Mail", it doesn't show anything. When hard-resetting, it works, but I want to find out the problem instead of being forced to reset again.

1) when I connect on hotmail from Pocket MSN mobile it happens that automatically it donwloads all the emails stored in the folders (that I use as archive) and only the new emails in INBOX folder....my archive is a lot of mega O_O I would like that the mobile shows me only the new email in INBOX nothing else...is it possible?
2) I have installed the new room from I-mate...it works great but unfortunately it installed so many software i don't need....if I repeat the same process and restart t he mobile before it automatically install the newsoftware is it ok? I'm afraid that in the Ext rom there are some soft used to make the new rom stable or to fix problems.....what do u think?

i have noticed this as well, has anyone found a solution that allows all emails to be downloaded instead of just the inbox folder. I use folders to filter some of the emails i recieve...
Thanks!
found out how to download all other emails in windows live when syncing! go in to the wml messaging, click menu, tools, manage folders. then tick all the folders you want to sync. hope this helps some other people!
Guys,
First let me say that I not an expert on MDA like most of you guys, but I have been able to follow instructions very well. I did the 2.26 upgrade available from T Mobile last June (2006) on my own. Recently, I used Lokiwiz3a to unlock my phone for using Cingular SIM and even changed EDGE set up from T-Mobile to Cingular. So in short, I can read instruction and follow them successfully. YOu get the idea about my level.
Anyway, I was cleaning some stuff from my miniSD card and removed on folder that contained some Flex mail demo stuff (from MiniSD NOT WINDOWS folder in My device). I did some other cleaning to take some T-Mobile stuff off my device.
In this cleaning, I messed up my mailing. Here is the current condition.
The problem is...
1>When I click either messaging icon or the messaging file nothing happens.
2> When I use send email or send SMS option from contacts, nothing happens.
Here is icons condition..
1> I can see no. of unread email in today screen, but the counter is not showing curent (new information). It is just set at old counter.
2> Email option of Pocket MSN also shows old hotmail counter as above.
3> I can see the messaging icon in Start Menu on Today.
4> There is NO messaging icon in Program folder that opens when you click program icon (Like Setting icon) in Start menu on Today.
When I use File Explorer...
1> Windows folder has "Messaging" file has size 11B with date stamp of 06/09/06.
2> Windows/Messaging folder has all the message files < 1kb (1kb was my message header limit).
3> Windows/Programs folder has no icon or file.
4> Windows/Start Menu folder has the file "Messaging" with size 11B and date stamp of 06/07/06.
5> Windows/Start Menu/Programs folder has no "Messaging" file
Finally general information, my MDA was T-Mobile with 2.26 Rom upgraded and WM5.
Also, another minor issue...I can't see comm manager on bottom right(I think it is cal init tray) of the today screen.

Rohit
Hi
Does anyone know how to do this from the Athena (tried looking for Select All, doesn't exist).
My problem is that Contacts are screwed, I have removed all Sync relationships and yet the Contacts is still full. If I recreate the relationships it doesn't update the contacts and that is greyed out in ActiveSync.
My guess is that I can delete them all & start from scratch it should then work on a sync. I really don't want to sit here all day and delete one at a time, a google search shows that there is no simple way, but I know that far cleverer people than I are based in these forums and should know a way around this.
Two solutions ;
1. HR ( easiest way)
2. Remove file pim.vol from main root of Athena , reset - athena will crate new empty file .
1. Backup contacts in Outlook
2. Delete all contacts in Outlook (you can select them all at once)
3. Sync with Outlook (everything will be removed from device)
4. Delete Partnership
5. Put contacts back in outlook via backup file
6. Create new partnership
7. Sync (PC will now see the phone as if it's the first time and everything will be set correctly in Outlook and on device).
Good luck.

Unfortunately not, the contacts file is not sync'd with anything - I have deleted 3 partnerships already in an attempt to do this.
I think destoying the pim file is easiest.

any idea how to delete the pim.vol file, it states that it is in use ? (tried soft reset)
Edit: Renamed the pim.vol file, soft reset & it creates a new one - delete the old one. no more Contacts. Thanks guys.
Hey guys,
today i received my P4350, i backed up my sms from my XDA-Neo with PPCimBackup and restored them onto the P4350...
But now i´ve got an unread mail in my sms folder, without any sender, message text or anything else. the receive time is always the actual time and i cant delete or move it.
has anyone of you an idea how to fix that?
I dont want to hardreset the device.
Greets Mäffjus
Additonal Info: It is running WM6 (by default).
Phantom SMS? Try to connect your device to desktop thru Jeyo Mobile Companion (trial version available at www.jeyo.com) and delete that SMS. Soft Reset.
its not working, ist shows now sms in inbox...i`m not sure why....
Maybe an error in the inbox database? can i edit the file via Hex or windows (XP) editor?
Further, do you know how i can disable the terrible sound when i sent an sms and the windows pops up? i found no entry in the registry.
hey, no further ideas?
easy as pie
just delete your sms/email inbox. It's the: " cemail.vol " In the mobile root directory. It'll be protected so you'll have to use a trick to get rid of it. Credit goes to Arkhipenko over at mobilitysite.com but here's a quick cut/paste of the solution.
"Hi,
I have recently discovered that my cemail.vol file went crazy: the outlook folders became misaligned.
Without much details of WHAT happened, I needed to delete cemail.vol.
It is not a simple thing since the file is constantly locked by some process (no idea which - I tried killing most of them via MemMaid to no success).
Anyway, to cut the long story short, one way to do it is to use...
Mortscript (what else!)
Create a simple script:
Delete "\cemail.vol"
Place a shortcut to this script to a \Windows\Startup folder and reset: you will have a brand new cemail.vol file when everything boots up (at least I did).
Don't forget to delete the shortcut, or you'll have a brand new cemail.vol every time you boot. "

I find it easier to use File Explorer to locate the file I want to send first, then tap and hold with the stylus, and select SEND..... this should bring up an option box which will include MMS and your email service name (whether that be Exchange or Yahoo or GMail etc.), select the email service you want to use, this will automatically attach the file and open a blank email for you.
Thanks for hint, i was trying in this way on my previous rom but after choice send no window appear. Now its ok, thanks again.
