I find it easier to use File Explorer to locate the file I want to send first, then tap and hold with the stylus, and select SEND..... this should bring up an option box which will include MMS and your email service name (whether that be Exchange or Yahoo or GMail etc.), select the email service you want to use, this will automatically attach the file and open a blank email for you.
Thanks for hint, i was trying in this way on my previous rom but after choice send no window appear. Now its ok, thanks again.

I finally managed to send and receive e-mails using my ISP's POP3 account. All fine with plain text. The moment I try to attach ANY file with any size I get the following error message:
Message attachment cannot be added. Check to make sure the correct storage card is in the device. If your device stores attachments on a storage card, you must insert a storage card to add any files to messages"
Aside of this being a very enlighting message, the files I`ve been tryimg to add as attachments were residing on my main memory in the my documents folder!!!
Any clues???
Michael
is it set to store attachments on the sdcard ?
if it is then i suspect that it require a sdcard even if the files you add are not from the sdcard
because attachments of the outbox will prob still be stores on the sdcard
Yeah, I have a SDCard. But I get the message when trying to send attachments from the SD Card or from the Mai Memory. I haven't unchecked the "store on sd card" option. Will do that and try again!
Thanks
Hi everyone!
Anybody has a guess as to how send attachments with the I-mate?
Hy all.
I have the same problem.
The first time the message appeared was after upgrading to 1.72 rom.
Now I have changed to 2003se but still I cannot send mails with attachments (even if I try to store them in my sd).
Any help, please?
Impossible to send e-mail Attachments over a GPRS Connection
Hi Folks
After a long abscense and several hick-ups I finally managed to get ROM1.72 up and running. Almost turned my I-mate to paper weight! BUT.. Still can't send any e-mail with attachments. Does anybody have a clue?
Cheers!
Michael
Hi everyone,
I had the same problem and after a bit of experimentation, and getting really annoyed :x I managed to fix the problem on my device - as I really couldn't be bothered doing a hard reset.
Open up Pocket dbExplorer and delete the pmailAttachs database
I'd suggest you take a copy of the pmailAttachs database first - so you can restore it if this method doesn't work for you
MCEITLIN, you're saying that after a hard reset (assumed since you changed ROM versions) it still didn't work? If so are you performing any kind of restore, for files or anything?
Hope this helps.....
btw....depending on your settings I'd suggest disabling the 'store attachments on storage card' option first - just incase this is also a factor.
Error sending e-mail attachments
I found the file PmailAttachs but I have no means to either copy it, cut it or erase it. Do I need a special tool for that?
Neither exploroe nor Pocket explorer or Sprite's Pocket Monitor aloow me to reach the file!
Cheers
Michael

Pocket dbExplorer allows you to delete databases - as well as editing them. Remember to take a backup of the database just in case
You can get a free 15 day trial from here: http://www.phatware.com/download/dbExplorer22.exe
Thanx for this tip! It worked like a charm on my Qtek 9090!
Thanks, that solution also fixed the problem for me with M1000. Now can send attachments using pop3 gmail account.
Good bit of detective work there, Webspider. I was about to give up on this one.
Glad this has helped people
I suppose now the only problem is making sure that you don't charge up a huge GPRS bill....lol
I know I use about 3 or 4MB a day...so glad my data is FREE
Cheers WebSpider - You're a star!
I have this problem but cannot find the file - could someone please tell me where to look?
Hi there,

T,
Hello expert,
on my Touch Diamond (Orig. O2 ROM 1.93) I have the following reproducible phenomenon, why I would like to please you for assistance. Can someone please check, if this is a general issue or somethin on my phone ? Or explain me, what's goin' on ?
o Start Pocket Internet Explorer and visit f.e. www.google.com
o Longclick on f.e. the Googlelogo or any another picture, until the context menu comes up
o Select ' Save picture', whereupon the following window appears:
Download
Download 2.58 KB file "logo_large_noshade.gif" to ' … icher\My document\Own Pictures\' ?
Yes / Save as / Cancel
o click on 'Yes' to store the file
And it disappeared without a trace ( I can't find it, neither in main storage, nor in internal memory, still with the search function of Total Commander and also not in 'My Documents', where I expected it.
(BTW: If I select 'Save As' and store it in root directory, it's there. Also it can be found in 'Temporary Internetfiles', where it disappeares after cleaning PIE's cache).
If I call the PIE again after Cache and other deletion of all temporary PIE data and would drive the above mentioned points out again, after clicking 'Yes' as above mentioned, there is an additional message:
Download
A file of this name already exists. Qould you like to replace it ?
So it's obviously there, but I can't find it.
Any advice, tips, hints ? Does your Diamond act as mine ?
I'm looking forward to reading from you )
Best regards from germany (so that's also the reason, why my english isn't good and all above mentioned HTC-messages are translated by myself, so perhaps they differ a bit from the english ROM) ;o)
Lars
I just tried it and got the same behaviour you mention. It is strange, but not exactly a serious issue when you can just over ride the default save location and retrieve the image from there.
Hi,
thanks Medulla for your confirmation. You're right, I can override the default save location (and will do this in the future).
But my problem is: I already saved alot and my datamemory is already nearly zero so I have to delete these files. Or completely hardreset the device *yiek*
Any further idea ? Regards: Lars )
when I try to attach files to my email message (through IE), browsing on my Blackstone start looking for "all maps / all file types". It doesnt work anymore and it never comes back! So, only reset can help.
Is there any solution how to solve this problem (registry??)?
thank you
Hi,
I use FlexRom ( forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614713 ) and when I want to attach a file in Outlook Mobile, it just returns to the email after I clicked on the file. In Resco Photo Manager, when I click on "Send via Mail", it doesn't show anything. When hard-resetting, it works, but I want to find out the problem instead of being forced to reset again.
Hi. Hope somebody could help me.
I updated my FB application (which was one of the quick links my home page). As I installed the new version of FB the icon on the quick links dissapperaed. i tried to add it again on the empy quick link space but it couldnt. I thought this was a problem with the newly added FB application, so i tried to add any other program or contact to that empty quick link but is never saves it. each time i try to press on the empty link (with the + sign) it takes me to the selection menu (programs/contacs/bookmarks). when i select any of the programs or contacts or bookmarks i go back to the home screen and the quick link is still empty.
Appreciate if somebody can assist me. I searched the forum but couldnt find an answer.
Thanks a lot
N.B. I am not using CHT, and on have a stock ROM for the Middle East

Had the same exact problem when I updated the Facebook app (ver 1.5)..I called T-Mobile support and they suggested soft reset (didn't work); spport person never heard of that problem, so it definately may be the FB update that caused problem.
Anyways, only solution was factory reset.....
so once that was done, I reinstalled FB (with update), and the quick links was working normally; then put everything back on phone via Sync, etc.
OOOps I am sorry you had to reset your HD2 I managed to solve the problem few hours ago.
I used the registry editor, and went to hklm/software/HTC/Manila/home (where the quick links are registered). There should be 9 folders numbered from 0 to 8. if any folder is missing this means one of the quick links will not work. So when you realize which folder is missing (from 0 to 8) you create a new folder and name it as the missing number. Then you copy the content of any of the other 8 folder and paste them into the new added folder. exit the registry editor and restart your device. the missing quick link will be working again.
I know what I wrote above is already late for you but hopefully it will be benificial for anybody who mght face the same problem.
