Hey..
Anyway to have the lock slider near the bottom of the screen.. will be easier for unlocking with one hand... mine is currently on the top closer to the taskbar..
Check out Slide2Unlock2: http://67.43.3.117/~acs2co/S2U2-index.html
Looks a lot better with this S2U2 skin: http://tpro.station59.com/skins/slide2unlock2

Not a big fan of S2U2.. for some reasons it drains a lot of battery on my HD2

This is a captured screen from the serial Moonlight, s01e03. I guess it's iPhone, but it LOOKS just like A_C's S2U2. So I guess it's either A_C made a damn perfect copy of it (I dont know how exactly it looks on an iPhone), or this really is his S2U2 .
Smile man, you're famous ))))))
yea S2U2 made it to look like the iphone, no surprise the real iphone should look like it, haha.
He is chinese
I'm not so sure it is an iPhone you know. The notch towards the top if the device looks more like the one on the Polaris - the iphone has a similar cut out area but it's about half way between the top of the screen and the top of the device whereas this one looks to be almost right at the top.
(Can't believe I'm entering this debate - I really must try to get out more but the nurses are still worried I'll hurt myself!)

The notch you see is from a rubber protection case for the iphone I think.
My bet, this is just an iPhone and I don't get what this topic is all about.
It's for fun, nothing serious. Sorry if this is the wrong section.
It IS an iPhone.
Just so you know, A_C designed the Slide 2 Unlock/S2U/S2U2 as a WM replica of the iPhone device lock app. iPhone is the original, A_C just made a very nice WM version of it, not the other way around.
It is a real iPhone.
I see descriptions that say "flush QVGA screen" but all the pics seem to look recessed. This is a major buying factor for me. Please let me know.
looks like lies to me. i don't personally have a pharos but it definitely seems to have a recess
what is "flush"

flat like the touch phones.
right. so the Pharos doesn't have one. It has an edge around the screen.
look here:
http://www.zmetech.com/mobile-phones/htc-p3470-cod-name-pharos-in-photos/
I can confirm that the screen is NOT flush with the frame.
Hello,
I have bought an HTC HD2 but I have noticed a grid of dots on the screen. (The dots are also visible when the phone is turned off)
They are visible under different angles especially in white background.
Sometimes it gives the impression of missing pixels but only under particular angles.
Is this normal or my is something wrong with my phone?
Thanks
I observe the same thing on my phone...I don't know what they are (would like to...hint hint) but I assume that they're normal...
...I saw an article that commented on them published some time ago (pre-release) which only furthers this belief.
I would say that you can see a "net" pattern on the screen, when you have light on it. But I would not describe it as dots.
Try to look at another phone, perhaps in a store or something to compare.

They're part of the mechanics of the capacitive screen. As far as I'm aware, they distribute the field over the screen that is needed to detect finger touches.
If it's ridiculously noticable then I suppose it could become a problem, but I only see it, ironically, when I browse this site. I suppose it's the colour of the site makes it more noticable.
Anyway, there's other threads where people have asked the same question, and like I said, it's totally normal to see it a bit.
Thanks for the answers
I will try to see other HTC HD2 to compare.
By the way, does iPhone has the same grid ? Because iPhone has capacitive screen as well as HTC HD2.

Yes, it does. They're apparently more noticable around the edges of the screen.
It's hardly noticeable on iPhone than compared to HD2. This question is actually on the user guide and they said it's for the capacitve screen to function properly.

The iPhone and HD2 screens can't be the exact same because Apple has patents on pretty much every technology in the iPhone so they would have to manufacture if differently.

I only ever see the dots when my screen is off, so they don't bother me -- I actually think it's kind of cool.
I've seen the dots too. But only when the screen is off, and then only certain lighting conditions.
Too small for my big fingers. Thanks!
Nope. Get a phone with a bigger screen.
I thought the keyboard was too small as well because I'm used to a physical keyboard (Tilt). It takes a while to get used to, but it's pretty functional.
I'm sure you have tried, but if haven't, switch it to landscape and the keyboard should be larger.

I'm disappointed in at&t for not picking up the 7 Pro that went to sprint since it is basically the successor to the previous 2 Tilts.
wait for the tilt3.

If landscape is too small for you on a 3.8" screen i dont know what else to tell you. Maybe the HD7 would be a better fit.

I think what he is talking about is how the keyboard does not resize in landscape mode to utilize the extra real estate offered - it really is annoying...
But it does resize in landscape mode?

It does resize, but it doesn't stretch to take up the whole width of the screen. Basically, when you flip to landscape mode, your status bar runs along the left of the screen and your menu bar runs along the right, so it looks like there's some empty spaces on the sides of the keyboard.
Dang the new XL is sweet. It's so much better than what we see in the photos. I think they hit it out of the park with this one. Love the always on, the vibration is way better, screen is great.

He fixed it notice the edit. Ps phone looks great I don’t know why we’re hearing so much complaining about the bezels. They don’t look big at all
The link is working for me. Congrats on receiving your phone so early!
Congratulations..
Can you please check this out for me, it will be very helpful..
please can you check (when screen locked) if the notifications will show as ambient (screen black with notifications text only for a while) when receiving a new notification..? I know there is an always on display feature, but was wondering if still with it the new notifications texts will show on a black screen for a while like the ambient display feature in the old pixel..
Really appreciate if someone can answer..
Is there a way on Pixel phones to edit the nav bar buttons like on most other phones? I like the back button on the right.

We need more real world reviews on the screen from Avg Joe consumer. The screen is taking a beating online. Makes me weary. My 6p had that bluish rainbow effect viewing angle issue.
Can you comment more on how the display looks to you personally? So far the reviews are not good.

Screen looks great to me. I have it about 50%brightness. Even from angles I don't see what the issue is.
Very nice design but.. Screen looks dull as f..
Not just dull but inaccurate.

Actually colors are more accurate than any other OLED screen out there. They’re not over saturated like the galaxy phones

So far the screen is fine. I'm not the right guy to ask about screen this or that so I would defer to the big screen thread. The only thing I do notice is a blue tint when you tilt the screen 20 plus degrees like a lot of the other people have stated but it doesn't really bother me as I almost always look at the screen straight on
In the unboxing videos I've seen, I haven't seen the tool for removing the sim card tray.
Is there one included? I'm not sure I have mine still from my 6P. I'm sure I can use something else, but it would be nice if the new phone came with one.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: so funny. Not 60 seconds after typing this, I click on an unboxing video and the first thing shown is the sim card ejector, which is in with the manual packaging.
Oh well, I hope I get this bad boy soon. My ship date is scheduled for the 24th and I'm hoping for sooner.
Yeah got my phone yesterday as well, screen is different to say the least but the accuracy of color is really gorgeous. Google said they will be releasing a fix for the screen to adjust it or maybe disable SRGB as it's not for everyone but the phone works great, lightning fast, and take everything I throw at it. I have substratum themes running on it now (non rooted) and still the phone works great and looks great.

Is there an option in "Developer Options" to toggle sRGB? With it enabled on my 6P, the colors do look more muted, yet more natural. I was just wondering if the picture color mode can be changed.

The funny thing is if you go to settings and search for it, it says it's there in developer options, but when you look for it, it's not there lol
